  1. If you had told me after the South Alabama game that we'd wind up 9-3, beat ou, but lost big in the B12CG, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Fuck ou.
  2. Why the fuck did I just eat powdered sugar donuts while wearing a black shirt?
  3. Went to my MIL's for dinner. My sister-in-law's fiance had been trying to get ahold of his mom all day. She lives alone, a few states away from any of her children. He and his brother decided to call the cops to do a welfare check. He got the call as we were sitting at the table, they found her dead on the couch. He and his son are driving up tomorrow. Fucking hell.
  4. Two things that hit close to home: 1. The first brand new car my dad ever bought was a 1978 Pinto 3-door wagon. It ran like a top with zero issues and he got rid of it in 1986. This anti-Pinto aggression will not stand, man. 2. I saw KISS in 1996, original line-up, the Alive II stage set, only played songs from 1972-1979. It was bad ass and I too would drive 100 MPH through a checkpoint to relive those memories.
  5. Blowing up shit at our border won't change my mind, their "bacon" isn't real bacon. It's fucking ham, just admit it.
  6. Are you a psychic? Because this is him to a tee. He's in his early 30s, lives with my dad (his grandpa) and hasn't worked in a few years. Also, morbidly obese. I don't know if he's ever touched a boob.
  7. We did our meal with my side of the family last night. My sister didn't want to cook, so my dad chose Saltgrass. Neither of my sister's kids came, which was fine with me. Her son is ok, just a huge loser. Her daughter is a bipolar shithead that I haven't seen for years and I'm in no hurry to change that. The only drama now is my son-in-law and my future son-in-law don't really get on that well. I don't really care, they both need to just grow up IMO. My NY strip was good, my 7 month old grandson sat with me for a bit. No complaints.
  8. I understand that being a former president is different than being a regular dude, but my uncle was in hospice for a few weeks and they pretty much told him he wasn't dying fast enough and he was gonna get moved out. He died a couple of days later.
  9. Around 30 years ago, FedEx was just air service for letter sized stuff, no big packages. Then they bought out RPS and changed that to FedEx Ground. Those RPS guys were contractors and owned their trucks and got paid per package delivered. Any time we refused a package, those fuckers would moan and bitch, "C'mon man, that's 28 cents I'm losing!". Even better when their trucks would break down and they'd be off work for a while.
  10. When my kids were in high school, they drove to their ortho appointments themselves.
  11. This happened to my wife's cousin except when the carjackers saw it was a stick and knew they couldn't drive the car, they killed her cousin. This was in the 90s, one of them is still locked up.
  12. My mom (RIP) used to do this. I would go to the bathroom in the morning before I got ready for school and find it. When I complained, she said "I have to get up and pee during the night and I don't flush because the noise will wake me up more and I won't be able to get back to sleep afterwards." I said that made no sense and she would not respond but instead she'd act like the opinion of her teenaged son meant nothing, which was the damn truth.
  13. I had a heated debate with a co-worker about this, like 25 years ago. Both of our SSN started with the same number. He claimed the first 3 digits are based on where you were born. I said that's bullshit because I wasn't born here and he was. Eventually, I called the SS office and asked. Turns out, he was right. The reason mine started with the same number as his was because my parents didn't get me a SSN until we moved here when I was 12 or so, when the federal government said you need to have SSNs for all the dependents on your tax return. My wife and kids were all born here, so we all have the same starting number.
  14. I've been watching ou get away with bullshit no-calls and phantom flags for 35+ years. It finally happens to them and the fucking world is crumbling. Sooner magic my ass. Fuck ou and fuck any bitchboi that cries about it.
  15. People that list things for sale and say "This won't last long!!!". If you're selling it and you know it will sell quick, why do you have to tell us? Just post it and let it sell. This goes double for douchebags on facebook and car dealerships.
  16. The number of 60+ year old men I see around the metro who are wearing ou softball champs tees is staggering.

    Getting old sucks

Went out to brunch with the family today, the football pregame show was on the TVs. They showed the crew for one of the upcoming games and I said to myself "Man, Trent Green looks old. I guess that's understandable, as he's been out of the game for years". Then the names popped up on the screen and it turns out it was actually Matt Ryan. Fuck.
  18. I'm always a pessimist when it comes to bedlam, so no. I think our DBs give up too many big plays and that Gabriel will have a good game, throwing it over the top of the defense for TDs.

    London

I was in London the first week of December last year. The lighting of the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square is cool. Lots of little pop up tent shops. Hot chocolate, Belgian waffles and crepes with different toppings, sausages being grilled. And with the national gallery in the background? Pretty fucking great.
  20. This is exactly what I do when I play Grand Theft Auto: V. It's a great strategy. Now he just needs to call Lester and get his wanted level removed.

    Getting old sucks

Turned 50 last week. I'm at work, getting some files from the cabinet and the phone rings. I have to navigate this chicane from one filing cabinet, around another, then to my desk. I get there and feel my back pop as I lunge for the phone. The motherfucker had already hung up.
  22. No. I'm free from color matching questions but I'm on-call for other shit. Mostly things like "Should I wear a coat?".
  23. This is one of the few times I am glad to be colorblind. She'll ask me about color options for whatever and I just say "Who are you asking?" and only then will she remember that I've been colorblind for the entirety of our 14 year marriage.
  24. Because I don't want 12 giant open rolls of paper towels gathering dust or whatever in my pantry. My wife calls it the pantry but it's a closet inside the laundry room, there's no food just cleaning supplies and assorted crap that Mitch Cumsteen's wife would appreciate.
