  1. Anyone that has to sign off on their tweet like it's an email is disqualified from any form of public conversation.
  2. No one is doing anything for political points as it pertains to Jan 6. They're doing it for "preserve our society" points. All the same for why we put murderers, rapists, and sexual predators behind bars - because, as it turns out, they too are bad for society.
  3. Another aspect of this is Lando wasn't initially penalized for that incident - he was penalized for track limits first. Which is also kind of bullshit. How are you supposed to keep it within track limits when you're being run off the road by a charging Red Bull fighting for the apex vs. fighting for the turn? If you force a car off the track and can't keep yourself on the track, then there is no advantage for anyone - put on your big boy pants and race on. Also, they shouldn't count that against track limits for the car being forced off but 100% should for the car who way overshot the braking zone.
  4. Religion is far too important to a huge portion of this country that you can't avoid them mixing. You cannot win without playing up the God card and motivating the religious group.
  5. Holy fuck quit ruining this game!
  6. He also logged a very unselfish assist for the lone Milan goal. Dude is feeling it. Pasta does a body good.
  7. As much as I'd like to punch him in the face, I'd much rather see my daughter high kick him in the nuts. On top of poetic justice, that would definitely justify all this money going to dance.
  8. This layout is so great. It's a shame about all the other aspects - bumps, shade, road access, etc... It did the hard part right.
  9. Unless Austin has non stops to Ethiopia on a 737, that wasn't Austin.
  10. Scottie picked within the last 2 years as well I'm pretty sure. And I think even Spieth was within the last 2 years. Looked it up, both Scottie and Spieth appeared on College GameDay separately in 2022. Scottie was awarded the Jack Nicklaus award during his appearance. Edit 2: Apparently Scottie wasn't technically a guest picker - he just made an appearance.
  11. Who gives a $7M loan to a Senate candidate? That feels... pointless? Unless it's some workaround that a loan you never repay gets counted differently (or secretly) than a campaign contribution?
  12. Front on looks slick. Side on, not so much. Glad to finally be racing again!
  13. What does that "peace" look like? If they truly think a Trump "peace" will result in better conditions for Palestinians than what they had before this conflict broke out, then I don't know what to say - it's just baffling. Just like Trump "peace" in Ukraine just means there is no more Ukraine. I imagine that's not far off from his vision of peace in the ME.
  14. I think what I'm most excited about is after the slow start where OU lived in the backfield, Sark adjusted to quick throws and misdirections. That softened their rush and we owned the game after that. You can study film all you want but Sark will adjust.
  15. You win, you take their land. You lose, they take your land. It's probably the oldest rule of mankind. And it's 100% for amusement. Part of that amusement is all the hand wringing.
  16. SIAP - Bon Iver is back with Speyside. Way more minimalistic like For Emma was (or as close to For Emma he's been since For Emma):
  17. We just had Phil Cox talk to us at our conference - he runs Elon's America PAC. First off, he was a great speaker with great insights and for a guy that is clearly team Trump, he kept it about as neutral as you can imagine. It was refreshing. Some interesting tidbits based on their internal polling - they feel strong about GA and AZ for Trump. Like outside margin of error. He also said PA and WI are outside the margin of error for Harris. MI and NC are the dead heats in their view. From COVID, PA has seen net migration from NY, bolstering their registered Dems. FL has shifted from +300k D to +1M R and a lot of that came from PA, WI - hence why they think they are both safe D states. AZ has seen CA Rs migrate. MI is a Muslim problem for the Democrats - they are pissed at the D party and they have no home with the Rs so they may stay home. Senate goes R pretty clearly in their view. Apologies for the disorganized recap but it was a very interesting talk.
  18. Wasn't that a rumor last year for the Mexican GP, too?
  19. 0% chance Danny Ric wanted fastest lap just to mess up Lando's WDC chances. Dude wanted to go out on a high note and props to Vcarb for helping him out. There's no princess drama here, just trying to give a great guy a proper send off. No need to read more into it than that. Edit: also props to Max for immediately saying "thank you Danny" - hate that dude, but that was solid.
  20. That's it? Expected a lot more from the GOP. Edit: nevermind, that's not the big news story, that's from a couple weeks ago.
  21. Anecdotal here but when I was in Montana a few weeks back (Bozeman and the surrounding area), I saw more pro Tester signs than I did pro Trump.
