  1. This hire is so awesome. Thanks for being a miserable place to work at, Chelsea!
  2. Phoenix fucks. Still got it.
  3. Nah man... I think you got it backwards. The govt bails us out when our shit hits the fan. By extension that means we bail each other out. Which I think is the entire point.
  4. Fucking love Ream and all he's done for the crest. The women have Girma. The men now need one, too. Preferably two. The more I watch this game the more I realize long term success starts at CB.
  5. Played Green Valley right near the airport and Fossil Trace in Golden - loved both. Green Valley was not mountain golf per say but it was a great "get off the plane and play golf" kind of place. Loved the layout though a lot more linksy than you'd think. Fossil Trace was epic. Just fun. And beautiful. Except for that one snake I saw. Fuck that guy.
  6. Just donated to a political candidate for the first time ever. Did it for democracy. Did it for the future of this country. Did it for my wife and my two biracial daughters.
  7. The new issue is that looks like they are initializing the storm way too far north. The current vorticity seems to imply a center that is off the SE coast of Cuba, not the NE as shown. That would make a pretty huge difference. A lot of seasoned mets are calling this out as well. This may have a big shift on the next update.
  8. "Please withdraw that question" - then use the backspace key.
  9. The model runs for this storm are... interesting. Most seem to forecast a very significant stall but the location of the stall varies - just outside Tampa, over Orlando, SE coast of GA, just E of SC, etc. And then what happens after the stall - there are some not good options there that have this thing do a loopity loop and spit out on a due W heading across the GoM (though fairly heavily in the minority). For being not THAT far out, there is a ton of uncertainty.
  10. Stop. Please. Your trolling is pathetic. Or your intellect is, take your pick.
  11. I've heard those guys are great. Looking at their brands, they have all the heavy hitters that are available only to a custom fitter plus all the mainstream brands as well. For example, a Titleist rep won't have Accra shafts and a limited selection of Graphite Design and Oban. Edit: "Those guys" being the Barton Creek crew. CC is also solid.
  12. I was on the opposite side of that coin on Friday. Hit 5 greens all day, converted two for birds. Scrambled my dick off. Shot a PR (for my home course) of 75. Stoked.
  13. The new engine looks mighty. He was crushing the field 2023 style. I'm not sure 10 places will be enough.
  14. I thought it was Ferrari running a special livery at first. I do like it, though. Will look good on the last row.
  15. Not having any goal scoring issues today. Holy shit ladies. 3-0 in a blink of an eye. Swanson with a brace.
  16. This is common across every airline in the world. They'll hold the plane for extreme circumstances (last flight out and the delay was the airlines fault and they don't want to deal with free hotels, for example) but otherwise, this is all very much SOP. On time % metrics are pretty damn important to airlines because they're important to us as passengers.
  17. Been said a few times on these annual threads... Shaft is the engine, head is just a hood ornament. It makes a massive difference, get ready!
  18. 6" version, too cheap for the all out splurge. Also, during the odd time I need wider planks flattened, I'm planning on using the planer trick where you essentially hang the board on a sled and pass it through.
  19. Sounds like driver was working just fine so why change the head? Go get fitted for the appropriate shaft using that head and end up with a better setup for half the price of a new driver (and that's for a solid mid to upper level shaft).
  20. Can you just carve out a hole in the tile big enough to fit the anchor + head against the drywall instead of against the tile? That could open you up to some of the more heavy duty options out there and you don't have to worry about cracking the tile when you tighten the screw down. Having a small gap between the shelf and the anchor where the tile is carved out shouldn't weaken anything too much I don't think.
  21. Got a new toy. Works so damn well - it's going to save me hours of time squaring wood up and has me excited to launch more projects. Half way put together here but you get the idea - produces dead 90 after a two passes.
  22. I haven't tried this but I wouldn't trust a hollow wall anchor to hold a floating shelf mount unless you know for certain the load will be light. Even with two studs, I keep the load light on any of our floating shelves. Floating shelves are just a very awkward distribution of weight.
  23. Just got back, what an epic trip. Scotland is amazing, it's people are incredibly friendly and welcoming, Glasgow is one of my new favorite cities. Can't wait to go back! The tournament was also epic - they spaced everything out nicely so you never felt crowded, tons of great food options, plenty of beer, all the transportation was efficient. The best part is the crowd - you rarely ever hear the stupid shit American golf fans say like "bababouey!" and "light the candle" and all the other frat boy crap that gets spewed in the US. It's about the golf and much less so about this being a social outing. Some pics:
