  1. Yes it's serious. I'm curious to the actual rule, not whether or not it's being followed. I'm not that naive.
  2. For clarification - this is not legal, correct? You can't offer NIL deals as incentive to sign? And furthermore, you can't offer NIL deals until they are enrolled? Unless this is another instance of NIL and bag money being conflated.
  3. This is still going to be the mantle for their outdoor fireplace so I used spar urethane because it's going to be outdoors. If it's indoors, it's probably more critical that it is properly kiln dried than the finish you use. For finish, you have a bevy of finishing options - Rubio Monocoat would be my pick.
  4. Ya, it was cold out. The wood drank up the liquid spar pretty quick for the first 2 coats and then I switched to much lighter coats. The spray spar dried to the touch very quickly. I just made sure I never applied so much that the spray spar ran. ~2 hours between liquid coats and ~30 min between spray coats worked out for me. FWIW, that pretty much followed the on bottle/can instructions as well.
  5. I don't think anyone here is going to talk you out of a birth year speedy pro. If they do, they're in the wrong thread.
  6. The in laws had this live edge mantle sitting on an outdoor fireplace at their ranch. Completely untreated, just sat out there for years. They were about to trash it and buy a new one and I wanted a crack at saving it. Cut the edges to square them up, put nearly a bottle of wood glue into the cracks, sand and hand planed the shit out of it, 3 cans of spar urethane spray for the edges and 1 quart of spar urethane liquid for the flat surfaces. Before (with some glue dumped into the cracks): After sanding: Done (spar urethane, sanded between coats up to 800 grit - probably pointless beyond 240 but whatever):

That's 3 USMNT players on one team in a big 4 league. Never thought I'd see the day (I'm assuming that has never happened in the EPL, Serie A, Bundesliga, or La Liga)
  8. Niners win. Fuck Aaron Rodgers. All is great. Good night!

Welp, guess I'm a Norwich City fan now. That was real cool. I'll say it again - I'm not ready to give up on Sargent. Go on @Napoleon, laugh it up.

Salzburg also run the risk of him getting injured and then poof, transfer market at $27M+ is gone. $27M also makes him the 3rd most expensive player to be sold by Salzburg behind Patson Daka and Naby Keita. It is a pretty good haul of cash for a team like Salzburg, more than they got for Sadio Mane (forgot he played for Salzburg). Edit: Woah, speaking of forgetting, Erling Haaland played for Salzburg too. $22M sale. Bet they want that one back.

If Leeds want him THIS badly, where are the other offers/interest?
  12. One of my all time favorites. Good luck with the sale!
  13. Anyone have some outdoor speakers they're looking to get rid of? I'll even take them if you bring them to me from a white, unmarked van with a forged receipt so long as they are waterproof. Let me know what you got.

    3D Printing

I have a Crealty Ender 5 with a few modifications (bed support, new quiet control board, glass bed). For the price, I'm a big fan. Now that I've got it dialed in, it prints quite well - everything from random enclosures, to parts for an espresso machine, to Nintendo Switch controller holders, to those little wrenches you use to remove bike tires, etc... That being said, no consumer 3d printer is going to be foolproof. There is a lot of trial and error whether that's playing around with bed temp, extruder temp, filament type, the actual design, fill rate, support structures, etc.... I've made a bunch of things with mine that I'm quite happy with. Probably the biggest achievement was using my 3d printer to build the parts that go into my Lowrider CNC machine. It's a fun hobby. But you have to treat it as a hobby, not as a tool or office equipment. You will have prints that epically fail and you just have to edit and try again. If that doesn't sound fun, then save yourself the $300-$500 or whatever it is they go for these days. But when it all works as planned, it's pretty fucking cool.
  15. Anyone in the market for a driver shaft? I have an Accra FX 250 M4 tipped with a TM shaft adapter that I'm ready to sell. This shaft is for people looking for as much stability as you can muster in a very light weight stiff shaft (58G). Light weight shafts are inherently unstable at higher swing speeds, but this one does as much as you can. Great for people with a smooth transition at the top of the swing with less loading on the shaft at the top. My swing used to have a very smooth, fluid transition at the top and this shaft was a game changer even with a 98-102 mph swing speed. Best money I had ever spent on my clubs. Now my swing is a considerably more stop and go at the top with a lot more load on the shaft. Just hard to control the whip action now so I had to move on to a Graphite Designs shaft. I paid ~$350 for this new a few years back, happy to see it go to a new home here for $75 (plus ship if you're not in Austin). Comes with a ~year old Best Grips black leather grip installed ($25 for the grip alone, IIRC).

I think he's one stop away from his "big" move so wherever he goes next, make it one of the big 4 leagues. Play well there, then start looking at a top 4 club somewhere. As an example... Go to Leeds. Play well for 2 years. Let Leeds cash in on a sale to... A Spanish top 3. I feel like his game suits that league. Maybe Real Madrid or Barca will have recovered by then.
  17. A statue that lopsided is just going to fall on it's own.
  18. You've blamed Trent Williams three times (at least) for this vs blaming the mega error prone Jimmy G for not being patient and giving his in motion LT tackle enough time to get set. Even Shanahan put that one on Jimmy.

1-1 at half Pepi with FOUR great chances. 1. Shoots it wide after a great thru ball, would have been offside anyways 2. Picks up a loose volley in the box and fires it square into the defenders outstretched leg 3. Puts it into the back of the net but Augsburg called for the foul on the pass to Pepi. 4. Picks up another loose ball in the box, fairly easy stop. He's been very involved in the build up and hold up play as well. Looks very comfortable. Him plus Vargas on the right side is the best thing they consistently have going. Good stuff thus far. Getting on the scoresheet just feels like a matter of time, he's knocking on the door non stop.

What you don't see is the use of the stupify charm right before the cross.
  22. There are some short ass high school head coaches in the Austin area.
  23. Not after he's a 2x national title winner at Texas and the #1 draft pick in the NFL draft. You're buying a collector's item. It's an investment really.
