  1. Carr seems hesitant to drive or look for his own shots … it’s cool since he doesn’t turn the ball over and plays good defense … but we will need him to find a comfort zone on offense before conference play … AJ also seems to still be uncomfortable on offense with the new scheme and teammates Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. So refreshing to see the team collectively working for high percentage shots and not bricking layups Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. This asshole can’t turn off his cell phone or even mute it for jury instructions?… creezus joust! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. They kept fighting … they corrected some things in game … they won the 2nd half… Allen and askew played well… it was a good early season crash course in the level of play we will need to put on the court to beat a top 10 team Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’ve seen him play enough to see his strengths and weakness and just disagree with you as to his nba readiness … I wish him well. He has a role if he puts in the work and is able to gain some weight and endurance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I’ve seen some clips of him being a foot taller than most of the guys he went against in high school and seen him get muscled out of the paint by jase febres multiple times tonight and get winded after 3 trips up the court. He’s a kid and needs 55-60 good pounds … he might be an nba player who gets better tan trash time minutes if that happens… he’ll have good stats nights at Gonzaga and maybe he learns some post moves from timme Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Holmgren is basically a weak Sven Nader … he’ll get plenty of points and stats just being the 7’ tall cleanup guy off the ball in the paint at a great program but he’s a last man off the bench in the NBA if he ever gets drafted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Game 2 of a work in progress but hard to tell how our interior defense will be until Disu plays and until these guys get more comfortable with each other … Mitchell’s interior defense and rebounding appear below average at this really early point … we could sure have used Jericho Simms this year or another big just to guard the paint and rebound Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I am confident that Beard will run a fast pace on offense and heavily pressure the ball and passing lanes on defense … if we can get the Gonzaga bigs a little off balance and get them on the bench with fouls, fatigue, and or frustration, I like our odds. I think Bishop has the fire and skill to really frustrate one big… but I worry about Mitchell on defense having to cope with the likes of Timme Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Disu’s rebounding and defense will be much needed when conference play starts up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Lance “Squisher” Boil … he played in the 80’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Carr and Bishop solid Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Allen will be most definitely be starting every game in conference play so long as he’s healthy enough to play or goes on some crazy multi game, double digit shots with zero points tear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Beard will give Jones a fair shot to remain the starter… his defensive effort and shot selection will be what determines whether he is moved to the bench. I can see Ramey and/or askew starting over Jones and eating into his minutes if he plays soft, uninspired defense like he often did last year. Ramey and Cunningham are more Beard type players, but Jones has the physical skill to stay as a starter if he plays like a 5th year senior… he looked a bit lost in the scrap last night, but it’s not even game one yet. 15. The transfers all look polished and calm … our holdovers from last year are looking a bit skittish … but the product on the court looks organized and coached up on fundamentals…granted against a division 3 team with no scholarship athletes…good shit overall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. So damn refreshing not to see 4 guys standing outside the paint and one setting a high pick Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I can't wait for the season to start! Fresh coach, fresh players...pride, fight and fire we have not seen in a long while.
  18. Sark's staff pulled in quite a few portal players... we got a star WR, a very good backup RB, a good backup CB, and a LB who may end up being pretty good... and we took a shot at several defensive ends/edges who came from big name schools (and were apparently let go from those schools for good reason) and have not really impressed. The portal is not a starter farm unless you are a downstream school like Rice or SMU getting kids who played at bigger power schools. It's rare to find a star lineman (offensive of defensive) and not very common even finding a Power 5 starter in the portal. I think the portal is better for locating skill players who are stuck behind superstars. Things may change with the NIL cash in years to come, but in the past most linemen in the portal are usually too injured, too dumb, too moody, or too damn average to step in and start for a team like Texas. If the rumors about Donovan Jackson or the Brocks are true, the portal may be better for o-linemen this coming year and I guarantee you that Texas will be in the bidding. Beard did a great job with the b-ball portal. I'm pumped to see how he puts all the new pieces together. But basketball is a different beast than football. I'm not happy with the inconsistency, and hate our oline and defensive end/edge play currently, but gotta give Sark a reasonable amount of time before you throw the rope over the tree limb for him. I suspect any portal WRs, O-linemen, and defensive ends worth a look will be getting one... we'll see how it pans out for 2022.
  19. Frustrating not to have a well-polished, consistent machine running 7 games into the season.. absolutely. But, every hire needs a couple years to get his/her parts in place and her system engrained. If you can't give it that long before the sky is falling, I recommend the women's tennis or volleyball teams... they're as close to expectations as the national championship or guillotine crowd will find.
  20. Fuck off Buck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Something about it would be great to get a 40 acre field full of players like Moncada Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. If we’re lucky! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Frost has that dead man walking she’ll shocked look already … he needs some black coffee or something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. A lot of players who are not starting will likely see at a good chunk of minutes against Rice…a small window to perhaps make an under-fire argument why they need to start… hopefully any changes that need to be made will become glaring enough for Sark to pull the trigger for the Tech game.
