  1. Have you ever seen those pictures from Woodstock of people rolling around in their own muddy shit and claiming it was the greatest thing ever? If so, these are those same people and this is a rerun.
  2. It says “moose” in the upper right corner. That shit is expensive.
  3. Yeah but that’s post-biotic. This stuff is pre-biotic! Not even pro, pre!
  4. It amazes me that people are dumb enough to think they can get away with embezzling. My company will spend $5k in indirect costs trying to recoup $500. You might get away with stealing for a few months but….
  5. Love the unintentional Bob Wetlick reference. Dude looked like a cross between an accountant and a serial killer. And Tom Penders, that was a great time. My personal best Penders story, we were at the Dog and Duck on St Paddy’s Day waiting in line for the bathroom. He offered to hold my two beers. I came out of the portacan, and he had emptied both of them. That dude was a bigger mess than me, and that’s quite an accomplishment.
  6. Pretty sure having your husband whip his dick out on a kid is humiliating, but I don’t know GQP.
  7. Nope, no toll road south of the river, where my grandson grinds to a halt next to the pedestrian bridge, on his way home from sesame street.
  8. Also hey Leeroy, hope things are going well. Same is it ever was here.
  9. Ok cool. I just think if you’re calling someone a crook, maybe you should sack up and post the evidence, but then again I’m not a giant pussy.
  10. Maybe so, @VRHorn still hasn’t posted his demand letter, BtR, has not produced a title for a vehicle he sold, and nobody in this thread has shown any evidence that ROFLBOX has screwed them, other than squeaky vaginas. I’m waiting for the good stuff.
  11. I’ll give CTH one thing, never trust anyone to do the right thing. Or rather, never trust anyone to do what you perceive to be the right thing. Because right things aren’t facts, feelings are, these days.
  12. Maybe you’re a perfect person and have never done business with friends, or maybe you’ve never been hard up and made mistakes, we don’t know of course. Shit happens, thus this whole thread, or the Chris Beard one.
  13. Sells a vehicle and says fuck it, actually transferring the title is not my problem. See how that works? There are 2 people making this shitshow. Number one, don’t buy a goddamned vehicle from someone who can’t sign over the title and is too dumb to remove the plates and toll tags. Number two, don’t sell a vehicle to someone without taking off the plates, toll tags and transferring the title. It’s not that hard.
  14. True, There are always two sides of the story, and both are generally entertaining. So stop trying to buzzkill, ya hairy bastard.
  15. That’s kind of a shitty question. If you paid for the truck and the guy won’t get you the title, then maybe he deserves the consequences. If you pay for something, wouldn’t you expect to take ownership of it? If the previous owner doesn’t do that, then any liability on that asset is still his. Stiletto cuts both ways.
  16. Thing is, yeah right now you can get some cheap burnt bones, but in 30 years, when you're in your 80s, and your kids are in ICU with liver failure because you were a shitty parent, who wants to search around for cheap cremation particularly when half of you is metal hip replacements that won't burn? Just pay the shit now and be done with it.
  17. Years ago I worked at a 4-story office building out by Mopac and Steck. Each floor where you came out of the elevator looked the same, so they had a big 2’x2’ sign hanging on the wall across from the elevator with the floor number on it. One day when my assistant and I were bored we reversed all the signs. It was pretty funny watching people come out of the elevator and do a grandpa Simpson, only to come right back again.
  18. This. If you want to be cremated, I would highly recommend the Neptune Society. You can pre-purchase a package at today's price. They take care of everything - come pick up the body, provide a pastor/counselor if needed, take care of social security and other notifications and provide death certificates. My parents did this, and it took the worry out of all of it, I had to to very little other than to go to their office to pick up paperwork, and to pick up the urn and stuff afterward. I plan to do this so my spouse/kids don't have to hassle with anything. The current price for all of this is $3200 per person, which IMO is pretty reasonable.
  19. It’s pretty clear to me personally why Austin isn’t like it “used to be”. When I moved here in 1984 there were 450k people in the metro area. Now? There are 2 million more than that. That’s a lot of fucking people, nothing can absorb that and stay the same.
