I'm good with kicking it out if the end zone. Don't want to get Bralon Edwardsized.
  3. Texas is having to work for everything including OUs points.
  4. I'm getting too old for this shit.
  5. Ag least he's committed to his craft. Methcraft.
  6. ...that and an airline pilot uniform.
  7. Liquor to beer never fear!!! Let's goooooooo!!!!
  8. Also, at the root of just about any massive 60 point blowout, there are going to be some defensive and st tds or ridiculously good field positions set up by the above. In the case of Ark State, their defense was just horrible and actually their qbs take good care of the ball. All other qbs OU has faced have at least 5 ints on the season.
  9. You guys should also go listen to the "Everyone gets a trophy" podcast this week. They really don't talk about the above all that much because it is largely irrelevant. One of the main themes is that football is a pass/fail endeavor. In other words, it does not matter whether you can run up the score on Ark St. Or Tulsa because they can't stop what you are doing. That is a fail or a pass if you are OU. What does matter is if you can do that against SMU or Cincinnati or Texas. Further, the relationship is not linear. For example, if Texas had played Arky State and "only" won 38-0. One cannot imply that OUs offense is almost twice as good. I am kind of fumbling the analogy, but listen to the podcast to get a better idea. The other main theme was the comparison of various units and their differences in quality. You can mask or get away with small stuff for some games due to timing and having a canceling of a small advantage with one unit comparison with a small disadvantage with another unit. What you don't want is a large direct difference. Like Texas interior d Line v OU interior o line. In this case it is major strength v. Relatively big weakness.
  10. Sipping coffee in Oak Hill in what used to be rural Austin.. FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I'm seeing a handful of computer models picking OU by 4+. Non homer stuff and pretty solid. Also seeing a handful of computer models picking Texas by 7.5+. Conclusion: OU sucks.
  12. Yeah . I got all that, but I had already typed my post when I read the fine print, so I sent it anyway. You don't need to drill down very far in the OU opponent's schedule to see all kinds of holes. I understand OU Homer's not doing it, but I think the sports guys are just being lazy.
  13. A little bit of a joke. The same defense that gave up: 21 to Pitt, the same Pitt that scored 6 on WV. 31 to Miami Ohio 35 to BYU ...and OU put 20 on these guys
  14. Kansas defended those very well. The rest of the field, not so much
  15. Agree. Back especially in Herman's tenure, the games were almost unwatchable due to start stop, replay, ref bufoonery etc., to say nothing about whether the call was even correct.
  16. A little bit, but it is more of looking at it from a "conference" point of view than a "This individual crew hates us" point if view. Not saying the Big12 is going to be reasonable, but it is on their best interest to call a fair game or even one that is biased toward Texas...this year. For whatever reason, the calls seem to be less egregious this year compared to this point last year.
  17. In general yes, but when Texas has had the far better team, in the Cotton bowl, the games have been fairly called. Even in '08, where it would have been in the best interest of the conference to have OU win that game, I thought it was fairly called. Tech game, not so much.
  18. I think Tex Pete is also referring to the officiating on the Texh game that year.
  19. I gotta think the conference wants best possible rep for post season, and that is obviously Texas this year. If anything, the calls should go in Texas' favor. The only reason they wouldn't would be to avoid a blow out which would also minimize "star power" in CCG. So look for what appears to be a fairly called game.
  20. Dillon Gabriel looks like the love child of Shepard Smith and Liberace.
