  1. We did a 20' X 15' Ipe deck at our house back in 2013. Highly recommend. Looks good weathered and really good when I recondition it every couple of years. For the first few years I reconditioned every 6 months. Just a really great product.
  2. Tarantula Hawk user name checks out.
  3. They should set up a predetermined maximum string of games alternately played at each team's home park, where final victory can be attained by whichever team wins the majority of the predetermined maximum game number. Kind of like the World Series of Poker, but this would a "World Series of Baseball", as it were.
  4. I think the 1995 aggy game. Texas, after having been in A&M and Houston's shadows for a decade, seized the final SWC championship on visitor turf. It was a watershed event in the two different directions each program was on. A&M would go on to win the B12 title in '98, but even that had a loss against Texas and an embarrassing bowl loss. After '96, Nebraska would go on to win another MNC and another B12 Championship (against Texas). Their coach retired and some rules changed, so their eventual demise was not all on Texas' on the field domination. Plus they had 3 recent MNC's and one of the best teams of all time on their resume, plus a lot of other close calls for winning it all over almost a 20 year period. The writing on the wall was just not as apparent with Nebraska, but with aggy, you knew their time was over.
  5. Growing up in the 70's, this all seems vaguely familiar somehow. I don't think the cops are finished with this one. "Mrs. Columbo, is such a big fan of you work. Could you autograph this for her, it would mean so much. Thanks" "Oh, and one more thing, Mr. Baldwin"
  6. This. I am not saying it is not possible but you would have needed to have been significantly more overweight than you are/were in order to get most of that in fat loss in one week. In fact, this summer I had about a 3 week period where I lost about .5 LB/day and I am almost your same weight, although only 5'-11", but that was pretty hard core with no Alcohol, OMAD (a big ass salad), and a one hour walk every day (no other exercise other than PT due to injury rehab). Stay with it, 2/lbs per week would be sweet and you. When the weight loss really slows down, add some walking, something about the pace and lack of stress really helps more than more aggressive work outs.
  7. More like mistake free head coach selection. After wandering in the desert for 2 decades, Baylor's last three head coach hires have been solid. And yeah, I know Briles was/is a piece of shit and he ended up blowing the whole thing up again, but after that they gave the the job nobody wanted to an eventual NFL head coach and now Aranda. I think Sark will work out, but man what a road to get here , and here might not be where I think it is.
  8. Calling it now that Dallas Cowboys football team ends up with another Hershel Walker type trade out of all this. Minnesota won't fall for it again, but Jacksonville is ripe.
  9. Most science fiction(and fantasy) ends up looking cheap because it is generally so dependent on special effects and has to take some shortcuts on the day to day lives of the characters and their interactions in their built world and if you don't get it right it looks like it was done on a budget. One way to get over that is to get a big star or two. Star Wars had Alec Guinness, Alien had a whole cast.
  10. We looked at Mr Tankless and they came recommended. Fair price, but we had too good of deal with purchasing on our own and using my business partner's nephew who is a licensed master plumber.
  11. For the freezer, I will take does over bucks any day.
  12. ...also graduate of Penn State spicing guild U.
  13. I that pronounced L -ingworth or 3-ingworth?
  14. Reading this thread made this song pop into my head, and now it will be in yours. Except for Ramjet, for who I am sure it plays on a continuous loop.
  15. The adventures of the Starship Enterpenis NC-17, boldly going where no man has gone before, at least not without dinner and drinks first.
  16. I feel your pain. I had climber's (aka golfer's elbow) elbow in both arms, but successfully rehabbed my right with an online upper limb control course. Not so lucky on the left...currently seeing a physical therapists for that one. Just started climbing again, but ridiculously easy routes which are taxing that left elbow plenty with the extra weight I have put on since my injury. FWIW, Dry needling has helped kick the healing into a much faster mode. go slow.
  17. Circulation feature is nice, but I'm not sure it is worth hassle of the extra piping you will need to do it correctly. We have a circulating model, but had to use existing pipes since we have a lot of concrete walls and 2nd floor deck is concrete as well. When on circulation it was never as good as what we thought it would be. We go through the same amount of propane with 4 people on the tankless as we used to go through with 2 people on the tank heater, so they are pretty dammed efficient, and with two teenage boys taking long soapy showers, we never run out of hot water. That being said, one could always up the wrap insulation on the tank and get that thing pretty close without all of the tankless issues and costs, even if you get a larger tank to ensure a large supply. You will also need to to do the the scale cleaning every couple of years on the tankless to prolong the life of the unit. i did not do that on my first tankless unit and it gave out after 15 years. There are subs that do nothing but install tankless, they can tell you what you need. Our tankless is inside and I always wanted it to be outside, until last winter.
  18. ou's second half offensive output should have been expected if one conservatively assumes that they would equal their first half scoring, not have any turnovers or blocked punts/returns, would be predisposed to "going for it", would be facing a defense that because of quick offensive drives, would be re vulnerable, and would open the half with a possession. All of those factors came into play and... ou was extremely fortunate on the some big plays and Texas was not on both sides of the ball. Change a play or two that could have gone either way and a squeaker win or perhaps even as much as a two score win was in play for Texas. In other words, the game would have played out almost exactly the same except for a play or two and Texas comes out of Dallas with all the same issues, but with a narrow win given the huge 3rd quarter lead, which one could say about any of the last few times this game was played. The end of the game had a Texas/USC 2005 flow where, in that game so many things went right for Texas on the last few possessions, although I will say in that game, they were earned with very little left to chance or borderline calls. I will say that if the conference wants ou be considered for the playoff, Texas will not be their opponent in the CCG. That will be taken care of long before then.
  19. Thanks so much. Clarifications: The MAD device is working. Since I have been using it the snoring is better, just not enough for my wife's liking. Dr. Is Daniel Slaughter ENT. This stuff is all he does, seems qualified, just got a slick sales pitch vibe, although there was no pressure. Just seemed like it was going to be a series of things that were not going to be CPAP. Definitely not getting warm and fuzzies based on your sinus infection comment. I included the smart watch info for general background, but yeah it has been way off a few times and I'm pretty sure I am getting more than 20-30 minutes or Rem sleep per night. In fact, except when I drink, I feel pretty good about my sleep. The only other thing that disturbs my sleep is some soreness/stiffness in my back on occasion and of course my wife waking me up to tell me to turn over.
  20. I was going to say this season has a 1998 vibe to it. New coach replacing arrogant previous coach, early season setback, Heisman caliber RB. Hope we can avoid that late season conference loss and get to championship game. Also, 98' team really got better as the season went along. OL not the same at all.
  21. I had Texas wining this game in the 14 to 20 point range with Rattler at QB. OU, as a team was/is just not that good this season. From a quality standpoint, I figured them about like U of H. Game had the same feel as the 2002 game. The 4th Q was just a nutty comedy of errors, bad breaks, questionable officiating, and pinch of self inflicted dick shooting.
  22. ....like Texas would ever be screwed in a 3 way tie breaker.
  23. At a cross roads and on the horns of a dilemma: Hoping some of you have had similar issues and experiences and can chime in. Medical background: Age 54, wt 190lbs, 5'-11". Could stand to lose about 15lbs, but for some reason that seems to be harder now than it used to be and by used to be 3 years ago. Not a mouth breather by day. My insurance blows. I went in for a sleep study back in 2006 and I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and the doc said CPAP was probably not necessary, which was kind of confusing, since although on occasion, I drank too much or ate too late, or had some kind of cold or mild allergy type of thing going on, apnea seemed to be occurring to a lesser degree every night. Also did not have any weight issues. Did not get CPAP. Since the sleep study, my condition has gotten worse but only slightly more so. Some of that I attribute to transitioning to more back sleeping, which has become my preferred position, but I am often awakened by my wife when I sleep on my back, so I move to either side which helps but does not eliminate snoring /apnea. I got a mouthpiece from my dentist a couple of years ago, which helps, but it is not anything too special. I wear it every night but it does not eliminate the s/a, just lessens it a bit. I was gifted a smart watch and have been tracking my sleep. In general, I get the recommended amount of sleep time, but ~70% of the time the smart watch says I do not sleep well (70-75% sleep quality). I sleep especially poorly, according the watch, when I drink too much which is a six pack or more (15% -70% sleep quality). Also, I sleep poorly when I exercise late in the day, which is usually a 3.5 mile walk around 6PM, which seems unusual. I tend to sleep exceptionally well one or two days after drinking too much. My best sleep quality is on these post hangover nights (80% to 93% sleep quality). Even without drinking and exercise, the best sleep quality I can get is around 83%, but it is not consistent. From this thread, it seems like CPAP or its derivations are the only treatment that seems to be effective. So with that in mind, last week I made an appointment with Snoring and Sleep Specialist, thinking I would go in, get an at home sleep study, get diagnosed with apnea, get a CPAP and be on my way eventually. First thing that did not go as planned: I am recovering from a cold from about 10 days ago and have some residual effects lingering in the form of inflamed/infected nasal passages, for which Dr. Slaughter prescribed mild antibiotics, mild steroid, and another special homemade Rx nasal spray. I understand the thinking, and the doc said this might be a possible cure, but even if it was not, at least it would clear things up so that possible sleep study could be more illustrative. 2nd thing that did not go as planned: I was also diagnosed with a slight deviated septum. Had no idea. 3rd thing: CPAP was only briefly mentioned with the flowchart explanation of allergies and treatment and all kind of mild surgical procedures etc. coupled with CPAP and allergy treatment would probably be effective. Intuitively, I just don't think I need all of that stuff, nor do I think an apparent condition I have had for years can be cleared up with a few weeks of pretty common medicine. This feels like a sales pitch, and after my follow up visit in 30 days after going through this round of medications, I am seriously considering another Dr. I don't want to be on CPAP the rest of my life, but seems like it is the only alternative based on this thread, if I don't want to go in for a what seems like a never ending parade of procedures, medications, and cash outflow. Help.
