Nope. My BIL works in construction out at different plants around the country. Most of the people he interacts with have no clue what’s going on beyond a headline here and there. They get up, go to work, bullshit about conspiracies and whatever else catches their attention and go home. The avg American doesn’t have time or care enough or have the intelligence to actually understand jack shit on a national / global scale. There were guys that hated Biden working on the TSMC project FUNDED BY the CHIPS act. [emoji2373]
If your in the Towne Lake / Bridgeland areas, you’re terribly outnumbered. MAGAs all over that area. He’s one of many. It’s not as bad as my neighborhood where Gov wheels did his door knocking bullshit, but it’s close.
This. I have a co-worker that voted for lower prices. We don’t have lower prices. Shoulder shrug and “he’s better than Harris” is his response. He’s upper middle white guy in Cypress in a $1M home. None of this affects him at all, so why would he give a shit outside of being a decent human? The market stays rolling - all is good in his backyard.
This is my father. Big Reagan guy and over the past two years I convinced him that Republican Party was gone and he was screwed based on their new platform (he’s 92, social security, etc).
A whole lot of people are going to be going hungry soon. ABC News reporting that most house holds will spend an extra $2400 a year on items. For a house that’s already pay check to pay check - an extra $200 a month is going to hurt.
I’m aiming for 150g or so, but that’s with using whey supplements. I’ll make a shake after workouts / cycling or when I’m hungry and want a snack. I’m currently 209 and want to settle around 195. There’s no way I can maintain 200g of protein a day. My body doesn’t like it.
