  1. They should have finished under yellow, but Massi decided otherwise by making up the rules on the fly.
  2. Seb was not happy he was not able to unlap himself. Massi fucked over every driver except Max. They should all be in there because it might be one of them next time getting screwed by Massi making up rules as he goes. Who is Mercedes appealing to? The FIA president?
  3. It’s also hard to listen to screams of inflation when oil and gas companies are taking in massive profits, as well as meat packers and others. Raise prices, claim inflation…. Profit?
  4. Agree. Second pass was clean racing on new tires
  5. Will be interesting to see how they frame that. There is also $$$$ on the line, right?
  6. The move was never there. Hamilton had the same thing happen with Albon - Albon looked like he left the door open and then turned down into Lewis. It was Lewis’ fault.
  7. 1 v 1 in HAAS cars or karts. Why not come out and have a shared championship due to gross negligence of a race director that’s been fired?
  8. That was a weak protest at best, but par for the course with Toto.
  9. That Perez / Hamilton and earlier this year Alonso / Hamilton was great racing.
  10. Hamilton also apologized to Albon, admitted he fucked up and it was a bad move and deserved the 5 second penalty. So… I’m not sure what you’re getting at? Anyway, it wasn’t Max’s corner just because he was at the apex at the same time.
  11. If I’m not mistaken, you’re new to F1, correct? Lewis made the same move on Alex Albon in Brazil last year or the year before. Albon turned in on Hamilton and Albon wrecked. Hamilton was penalized. The only difference this time is Hamilton doesn’t turn in. It was not Max’s corner.
  12. Not that Liberty media cares, but shit like this causes long time fans to bail. How do you watch a race next year and not wonder what regulations will be ignored? It’s hard to be a fan knowing the rules can change anytime at the whims of the owner or head ref.
  13. I’m a rules guy. We can argue about who had what corner and late braking etc - because those are all judgement calls. It happens and it happens in all sport. The penalties are followed based on those judgments. This was a blatant disregard for the regulations. It would be like a ref moving a ball between the hash marks for a more competitive 50 yard game winner. It has really trashed a fun, argumentative and entertaining season.
  14. Liberty Media is getting demolished on Twitter right now. F1 being described as WWE. Bernie was a bastard, but I don’t think anything this insane happened. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but This was a complete ignoring of the regulations and completely making it up on the fly.
  15. I don’t think it was unintentional. I think they got what they wanted given they had roughly 4 laps to decide. Massi said no over taking of the lapped cars. I think he was overruled.
  16. Massi probably had Merc on one line, Red Bull on the other and Liberty Media in front of him telling him to have them race and don’t finish under yellow. Liberty Media wins in this.
  17. So, Ferrari and Mercedes team up against Red Bull and the FIA race director. That would be good.
  18. Based on the regulations, the race should have finished under yellow. Mercedes has a case, as do any other teams that were caught out by not having a proper line up and restart.
  19. Here is the regulation:
  20. No way they over turn the result, but Massi should be fired for flat ignoring the regs.
  21. Kimi got driver of the day.
  22. First two laps, fast forward to lap 50. [emoji16]
  23. He just handed Liberty Media a killer ending, clicks upon clicks for F1 sites and even more attention for Netflix. He’s fine.
  24. In reality - if Merc had made some better decisions earlier in the year, it would not have come down to this.
