  1. I had a job that was just down the road form the OG Dot's and we'd hit that once a week for lunch, got nothing done those afternoons.
  2. Take a Ronkonkoma train to Farmingdale Station. Transfer to the complimentary shuttle service, which will transport Ryder Cup attendees to the Main Entrance. The LIRR will run extra morning trains from New York City to Farmingdale for this event. For those traveling from Suffolk County, all Ronkonkoma Branch trains will stop at Farmingdale. Check the TrainTime app for all your options. Taking the first early morning train from Grand Central to the Ryder Cup? Make sure to access the terminal from the 1 Vanderbilt building, located at 48 E 43 St, directly to the west of Grand Central Terminal on the corner of E 43 St and Vanderbilt Av, which will open at 4:30 a.m. Give yourself added travel time to get to track level during these early morning hours before the larger Grand Central complex is fully open at 5:15 a.m. After the matches, extra trains will be on standby to take riders to Jamaica and Manhattan as needed. Farmingdale Station is block or so from Main street which has many bars and restaurants.
  3. thats dumb, the renovations are great and it far less confusing for a visitor than the labyrinth that is GCT LIRR, also going vua GCT generally means transfer at Jamaica
  4. first train from Penn to Bethpage is at 3:38 AM, runs twice an hour. get the MTA Train Time app, gives you realtime schedules and ticket purchases.
  5. if there was a High Speed Rail option.....
  6. it's like Czechoslovakia
  7. Thats dumb. I don't take the subway or T unless there is an alt, Uber/Car Serv./Cabs in the city. Mass Trans to get from Metro to Metro....it works. what's " hassle than the whole train/uber scenario." issue? threre is no hassle.
  8. Why do you "have to have them" cars? I take the train from NYC to BBS, BOS, and RTE128 as example and find Ubering from the destination station to my meetings to easy and efficient. I do this going into Philly and DC as well. I sometimes Uber to the LIRR which is 6min from my house to take a LIRR to NYC to catch said Amtrak
  9. oh yeah, I never wan't this one to have fun, etc. etc.
  10. My 8YO twins have been playing the "You love/like my brother/sister more than me", "you always take their side, you never listen to me".
  11. sort of, I live in NY and we have legal weed but strict as fuck gun laws, New York's cannabis tax collections reached approximately $161.8 million, which is four times the amount raised in the previous year. but it's a whip to get a Pistol Permit let alone a CCL
  12. meh...used car money. missed being here early enough for it to be more meaningful and maybe I will get a merit grant by the time the new acquisition closes.
  13. I'm in the washing machine right now. I left a gig where I had crushed it to go to a smaller place and ideally do it agin. Said company is the market leader in its space. Since I joined... maybe 3 year ago...4 CEO's and a CRO, Hired by one VP, got a new one 3 months in, he retired after 6 mos, then next guy left 4 months later for a start up, got a new VP which I liked but knew would be temporary as we got acquired....then back to the hiring VP who was pushed out (and he needed to be as he was not on board with the merger). So were around 350 ppl and got acquired by 3500+ ppl size public company....I get a new VP (I like her, so's competent) .... now we are bing acquired by a 16K ppl public company. I am really started to loathe the invites for "All hands calls
