  1. Odd they are going through the trouble of shipping a patient to Utah - wonder where they are from. I wonder if they're from Idaho. Real fly over state, probably less than optimal medical care.
  2. I'm starting to get correspondence on this from the uni I work for. Nothing outright alarming, but I've worked for universities long enough to know that if they're sending emails, somebody is concerned.
  3. Japan has a population problem as it is. They should have taken it more seriously from the get go.
  4. I'm surprised to hear this. I got attacked in a discord earlier for saying I found it worrying. People by and large still don't seemed phased. Maybe the CDC announcement has turned the light bulbs on for some.
  5. India claims to not have any active cases. Seems impossible but who knows.
  6. Patrick Mahomes creeps me out.
  7. I feel like most of Florida is like this. I guess if there's a sea breeze it's not so bad but it can be unbearably hot. The further south you get, the worse it's gonna be.
  8. Snow gets old quick. I started hating it's existence by the third snowfall. Shit sucks. It gets gnarly quickly, the shoveling, the salt wear on your car, the danger in driving in it, the dry ass air. I've never been to Charleston but I think these towns are close to one another. Savannah is great but it's a small town. Maybe live in one and visit the other on occasion.
  9. I can't imagine hanging out regularly at The Great Salt Lake. It smells horrendous. It's a once and done kinda place. Edit to answer: I lived in North Central Florida for a long time. Never evacuated for a hurricane (but I've never evacuated in Houston when I lived there either). But I did have a tree fall on the house and pool cage while I was home alone during a hurricane. It was not a pleasant experience. I know people who's families in Miami and Tampa that always stay put. I really like Clearwater. Kinda quiet town near Tampa but there are the Scientologists.
  10. I believe they have 9 kids, 8 at home and a 19 month old who was also stank.
  11. Anthony Bourdain lived a tough lifestyle but it was still pretty shocking to me.
  12. My aunt od'ed on Tylenol back in the day. As far as we know, it was accidental. She did recover from it but she had a host of health problems which lead to the od (she had severe and difficult to control lupus which wrecked her kidneys). Acetaminophen is one of the few drugs that pregnant women can take. It would really suck if it got removed from the safe list because of this.
  13. How is an elevator stopping between floors "ok"? These att commercials don't make sense.
  14. Rats are really difficult to kill. Once they know someone is trying to murder them, they wise up and they become really cautious around bait. There are traps for them but cats are probably one of the more effective things you can get. There's a guy on YouTube who tests lots of different rat and mice traps and he has a lot of success with the rolling log style traps when it comes to mice. These kinds of traps are fairly humane and cheap to build. Glue traps are just cruel and they can get out of them.
  15. What a ride, my God.
  16. I feel like we got mensa'd.
  17. Is Utah this bad or is Texas this good?
