  1. Came to post this. 30 minutes from Houston you're talking suburb city, which maybe she is fine with. If it were me and was still healthy and active, I'd pick central Texas 10 out of 10 times and I'm a born/raised Houstonian.
  2. Cross posted from the Houston sub board... Anyone been to Triple J's in Houston (Homestead Rd.)?

    Houston BBQ

Anyone been to Triple J's Smokehouse out on Homestead Rd.?
  4. I'm still surprised that grown folks don't know how to spot, or know what to do if you're caught in one. Remember that it doesn't pull you DOWN, so don't panic. Swim parallel to shoreline until you'r out of it You can even let it take you out until it dissipates, then go around it on your way back in
  5. Speaking of...I saw a commercial the other day for some ambulance chasers and he's on there giving a testimonial. Funny it didn't reference who he was , just his first name. "Morgan & Morgan got me x$ for my accident..." What a dips hit he turned out to be.
  6. Drove by this weekend and the line was down the sidewalk along Richmond and guys in the lot directing traffic. I'll wait a while before attempting to go.
  7. Started I am a Virgo the other day. It's fucking weird/funny...but pretty solid so far. "A coming-of-age joyride about Cootie, a 13-foot-tall black man, who escapes to experience the beauty and contradictions of the real world; he forms friendships, finds love, navigates awkward situations, and encounters his idol named The Hero."
  8. Maybe he was just having 2nd thoughts about buying a $100K Yellow Ram?
  9. Have some friends that know him, so I took interest in it. It's a weird story for sure especially when police said it had the makings of being pre-planned...whatever that means. Not sure what the end game was? Insurance $? Drugs? I'm guessing financial trouble of some sort.
  10. Finished last night. Sheesh, what a series. The acting is so good across the board.
  11. I've told my wife this. Throughout multiple shows. She thinks as long as she's "listening" 🙄 I've given up trying to convince her. And "Fishes" was so anxiety inducing with all the chaos. Jesus, I feel for people that live like that.
  12. No burnt orange offerings, but you can knock both the polo and 1/4 zip out from Peter Millar or Johnnie-O if you're looking for "nice", golf-y type stuff.
  13. I work in the Spring Branch/Memorial area, so luckily not my home store.. I just went to pick up something for lunch... The HEB on Bunker Hill/I-10 is one of the biggest shitshows in Houston. What a fucking mess.
  14. Did this guys ever check back in after this thread? Hope you're ok @The Duke
  15. Where is the Oxygen countdown site? This all seems very futile.
  16. Now that Diaz and McCormick have gone yard, I fully expect Kessinger to be DH and Meyers back in CF for the next game. Thanks Dusty
  17. I mean, what the fuck are they going to do even if they find it? How would you recover something from that depth?
  18. So only #1 picks move you toward winning? That's silly. The whole idea of losing is to get young, talented players. We did that. Now the front office needs to bring in the right vets and some defenders to take the next step, but they're heading in the right direction.
  19. Guess it depends what your definition of worked is. It's been 3 seasons...still too soon to know if tanking worked. Being able to draft young talent like Green, Smith, Eason et al was made possible by losing. Now they've hired a real coach...also brought on by losing. All that being said, if there isn't a marked improvement this year, whatever benchmark that is, then we can say losing/tanking didn't work. Realistically, what does a "successful" 23-24 season look like?
  20. It was like 2 hours of non-stop action/fight scenes Yes, 100%
