When I was registering in person in the 80's, my dad had actually gone back to school as well.
He already had a successful career with a string of Big and Tall shops.
Anyway, the day of registration, I'm waiting in line with my buddy Derek. Dad shows up and couldn't believe the lines, so he took matters into his own hands.
He had his limo driver pose out front of the building with a sign that said Bruce Springsteen.
Place cleared out quick....got into that Astronomy class!
Friendly reminder to our fanbois and girls in NOLA.
Cure that hangover with a frozen Irish coffee from Erin Rose.
Establish a good base by gettin that burger and potato from Port of Call
Its going to be tempting, but...
One to come to mind for me is Beautifully Broken by Gov't Mule from the Deepest End show. Filmed down in NOLA as a tribute to Allen Woody..it was a parade of all star bass guests and the show started at like midnight and went til like 4-5 am..this was after a day of Jazzfest. It was fucking awesome. Anyway...here ya go.
It's a great song and really builds to the solo at about 7:30 or so.
Saw in IG video of someone talking about Cam Ward meeting with tOSU and wanting $1-2M. Said they laughed at him.
Somec random person in instagram seems as reliable as the next guy, right?
Netflix- Leave the World Behind (Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, Mahershala Ali)
Pretty solid flick, imo.
NYC family randomly goes on a weekend vacation out on Long Island. Cyber attack shuts everything down. No phones, internet/TV etc.
Bunch of weird shit starts happening.
Nuclear attack on US
We started Obliterated last night.
It's fucking awful. A few chuckles here and there, but the acting and writing is pretty bad.
The lead is hot and gets naked.
Annual Xmas trip to visit the in-laws is set.
Used Jet Blue miles, so unfortunately flying into to JFK. We jokingly talked about a helicopter to get to Manhattan, as the drive from JFK is a beating. We would be landing late afternoon, so even worse than normal.
It's surprisingly not as expensive as I anticipated. Plus a 5-min flight is much more palatable than a 2 hour commute after a 3 hr flight.
So, we're being super extra...and taking Blade.
Anyone used it??
I don't think I've seen her in anything other than car commercials and her IG (I'm not a Marvel person)
but yeah, she's pulling the role of socially awkward, feminist chemist in the 60's fairly well...to me.
Did it for a year after college although not in Colorado
It was fine back then..single, boarded, biked, hiked, rafted... drank and drugged...had a solid group of friends to hang out with.
Owning a house on a 2 acre wooded lot sounds awesome. It also sounds like a lot of work, potentially.
The no chicks thing is real.
Everything is expensive AF is real as well....and this was 20+ years ago.
Sark is playing chess.
Continually running straight into the back of our OL that's getting blasted into the backfield over and over and over again is eventually going to open up that play action pass......at some point.
Right?
40??
That would be an 18 game improvement..no chance.
I was thinking around 30...and I'm still leaning under.
Like someone else said, they'll be better and will lose a bunch, but will be fun to watch.
We can argue outcoached vs outplayed until the cows come home....and it's obviously a little of both.
Despite the auspicious start and all the weird shit that happened we were in position to win the game. coming back from down 2 scores.
Losing the turnover battle 3-0
70 yards in penalties.
0-4 from the one was ridiculous...play calling was terrible there. Execution was even worse (and it wasn't Sweat or Murphy)
PK and his D were dogshit yesterday.
Poor scheme, poor tackling. Gabriel could do whatever he wanted. Allowing a 5 play, 75 yard GW drive in about a minute is unreal.
How many of his yards, rushing and passing were on busted plays? Even the game winning TD was a fluke...and another blown coverage from a safety
Can we retire the bubble screens....FOREVER??
