  1. I'm not sure how it's possible not to know about active shooter drill, but sadly, yes. It's routine. We had "active shooter" training at my last job.
  2. This shit is outta hand. I mean as someone who watches a lot of movies and crime shows, it seems like the money trail left by all the currency changing hands would be pretty easy to follow, no? I mean if someone more competent than the NCAA wanted to investigate.
  3. Texas football is the only sport/games I'll make plans to watch. clear the 4 hours for the game cause I'm not doing anything else. 2nd is Astros Baseball. I will watch when I can, but will flip around while watching. Playoffs I'll invest time to watch the whole game. Rockets and Texas hoops are a tie for 3rd. We recently cut the cable cord(N LHN) so Texas Hoops games will be few and far between unless nationally televised. Texans are distant 4th. Will watch if I'm home and have it on in the background. But I don't dedicate much time anymore Texas baseball- I follow, but don't watch as much until the CWS (again, the cable cutting/LHN)
  4. The Joy of Cooking and Marcella Hazan's Essentials of Classic Italian cooking should be in everyone's kitchen. I enjoy Chris Shepherd's Cook Like a Local..he and the photographer for his book are both friends of me and my wife. My wife and her parents don't eat beef or pork (I know) so her folks gave us a copy of The Fisherman's Wife. The couple that put it out are their neighbors in NYC
  5. Just a sidenote/annoyance: I do this too and is it me or are the commercial breaks longer than normal? If my TV is to be believed...in the :15 sec bursts, I'm counting over 4 minutes of commercials each time. It's BS
  6. Addison isn't coming here, JFC The dude isn't coming off a 100 catch, Biletnikoff award winning season to split catches with Worthy, Neyor, Whittington and Hall. Especially with a Heisman contender in the backfield. .
  7. I get that there are a bunch of aggy 'necks in El Campo....but why would a kid in Owens position give a single fuck about their thoughts on where he should play football? Pressure from family? Sure. Pressure from random folks around town? GTFOH

  15. If you're putting ANY stock in what you saw on Saturday as to what this team will look like in the fall or during the season, I don't know what to tell you either.
  16. Making season predictions based on one glorified/televised practice? Never change, Surly.
  17. Wait, people don't like quiche? This place never ceases to amaze.
  18. Man there was one chick from the Snoop Dogg in New Orleans episode that was amazing. Perfect tits, cute...she did this little bouncy move from the side. Man, I loved her.
  19. This x 100 So many folks here speak in absolutes, while they really don't know shit about fuck.
  20. From his bio page: Playing baseball, football and basketball, Woodward earned a number of athletic honors during his time with the Buckaroos. As a freshman in 2016, he was named the District 7-3A Newcomer of the Year in baseball. In 2018, he was an All-District and Texas Sportswriters Association All-State selection also in baseball. His senior season on the diamond was cut short, but he was named to the All-District 3-3A First Team Offense (quarterback) and defense (outside linebacker) as well as to the All-District 7-3A Second Team in basketball.
