  1. bang the inside corner, that ump is giving away strikes.
  2. I'm not real "wowed" by any of the top 4. Given what Stone has said about taking the best player, regardless of position, leads me to believe they'll be taking Green. I mean, you can never have too many guards, right? Him playing in the G-League against professionals probably gives him a leg up on Mobley or Suggs.
  3. I don't know if was Burke or McDonald (why not both) but if your story goes on for multiple at-bats, you need to tell a different story, or shorten the fuck out of it. I'm not one to typically notice the announcers as I'm already hard of hearing, so I tune them out, but Jesus they were awful last night. Like noticeably (for me, which is saying something) pro UVA.
  4. Ardoin has been amazing. Hosing folks by 2-3 steps. His double play against Tennessee was a thing of beauty. Honestly I had little confidence in Zubia last night. I had a derogatory text to some buddies ready to fire off. He was 0-10 up until that AB, but he battled that at bat. Holding off on that breaking ball was huge. Good for him for coming through. Hopefully a sign that some confidence is coming back into play. Hook 'em!
  5. Erick Fowler- ended up at Sam Houston St. 2nd team all conference in 2018 Cecil Cherry- was a fan favorite heading into the 2015 season. was all hung-ho until practice started. Transferred to USF, then the head coach left. Went to Junior college for a year, then to Grambling, then ended up at Tennessee-Martin.
  6. Dan Buckner did fairly well at Arizona. Added* Jean Delance has started on Florida's OL for the last 3 seasons
  7. @SquishMitten Please post an "after" picture of the leftover gallons.
  8. If my math is correct and it's probably not, you have enough syrup to make almost 600 snow cones. 1 gallon= 128oz. Internet says it's about 4 tbs/2oz per cone. 128/2= 64 cones per gallon. 64x9= 576 happy customers. * this does not include those of us that like them "flooded"
  9. Jesus, talk a bout a thread jack. Fuck. OP- what did the 20 year old in question do? Did I miss the deets? I mean I get trespassing/vandalism, but that could mean different things.
  10. Christ almighty. Seeing it in black and white in the box score is just as vomit inducing as watching it live. 5-8 hitters 1-14, 12 K's and 4 LOB *Intersting note...Cameron Rupp struck out 6 times in an extra inning game against BC in 2009
  11. Very random....I was at this show in Boise. Was living in Sun Valley at the time and made the trek over. Solid show.
  12. Tamarind and Egg Custard should be a hit.
  13. I applaud you fellas in advance for keeping this thread going for shenanigans, creep shots, crowd shots, fan fights, food/drink porn, etc Hook 'em
  14. Any of y'all recall an instance of a recruit de-committing/opening his recruitment back up...then recommitting/signing with the same school he de-committed from?
  15. Went to my first game in a couple years a few weeks ago and was surprised all the old bars B.U.S and Home Plate were leveled. We ended up at the Westin bar after the game for a couple more beers. Biggio's is a couple blocks down too in addition to Scraps suggestions on the East Side.

    Tinnitus

Yeah, I'm blaming hundreds of concerts in my 20's-40's Or genetics. I was adopted so have very little in terms of biological medical history. They didn't think that through in the 70's.

    Tinnitus

I'm with Deadshank Tinnitus in both ears, don't really notice it anymore Significant hearing loss in both ears. Wear hearing aids. I'm 46 now and had normal hearing up until about 2008 or so when I noticed it was gradually getting worse. It sucks and is super frustrating at times, but it's manageable.
  18. why the fuck would you expect your opponent and his caddy to help you look for your shitty shot in the weeds?
  19. We live about a minute from Pit Room, so it's our go-to by default...and very solid in my book. Never had a bad meal. We finally got around to branching out and made our way to Blood Bros. It was damn good. Brisket and ribs were fantastic. Both were melt-in-your-mouth good. Wife got the Togarashi half chicken...good flavor/spice. Potato salad was ok. Smoked Gouda Mac and cheese was great. Jalapeńo creamed corn was good too. We got there just before noon and there was a bit of a line (but still inside for those that have been there). They do a lot of daily specials and they started calling out stuff before 1 that was already sold out. I wasn't paying attention, but I assume it was some of the specials that were gone (beef Rib, brisket cheeseburger) I'll be back to try some of their specialty offerings for sure. Thai sticky ribs, maybe that brisket cheeseburger, banh mi etc..
  20. Wife and I are a few episodes in. Digging it so far. Who the F thinks of this shit, lol? the kid who plays Gus is a good little actor.
  21. Just revisited a part of my collection that hadn't been touched in forever. 1986 Topps football cards. Looking online, some cards of note: Jerry Rice Steve Young x 3 Bruce Smith Walter Payton Is there somewhere local (Houston) that can grade these or at least tell me if they're worth a shit? I messaged Houston Sports Connection and they don't grade cards..
  22. Started this season last night and burned through 3-4 episodes. Sucks Arkin wasn't back. He was the best character on the show. Still hilarious though. Douglas is great. Kathleen Turner, while not as hot to begin with, went the way of Kelly McGillis
