  1. I really feel for Stephen Silas at this point. Imagine signing on thinking you're going to coach a playoff team with dynamic players in Harden and Westbrook and ending up with a couple aging players coming off major injuries and a bunch of fringe NBA players? On top of that dealing with all the injuries and having to use 19 different starting lineups in the first 30 games. Gar-bage.
  2. I'm curious to see if there is video of the whole incident. I mean, obviously the smaller dude was already punched or something (bloody nose). My question is he just took a punch and were still just standing there strategizing? :lol Those other 2 are bigger pusses than I thought.
  3. 49% strikeout rate is unbelievable. Who the F is the hitting coach? Do these guys have any approach? College player(s) at a program like Texas shouldn't be this bad.
  4. Watched the Little Things this weekend and can confirm what others have said. So much potential. Thought Denzel and Leto were great...but yeah, it missed the mark. Malek wasn't a good fit there.
  5. The 2000 OU game was one I should have added. It was the first of Stoops ass kickings. It was cold and rainy. I'm pretty sure OU scored in like 2 plays to start the 2nd half to make it 42 or 49-7. I threw my full whiskey drink down on the field and walked out. Swore off OU games on that day. I finally went back in 2009 and exorcised those demons
  6. Obviously born and raised in Houston there is only 1 answer for "Most heartbreaking" 1/3/93- Oilers/Bills Wild card game There are some others that deserve consideration over the years 10/15/86- Astros/Mets, Game 6 NLCS 5/29/1997- Rockets lose WCF Game 6 to Jazz on Stockton's last second 3 12/1/2001- Texas loss to Colorado in Big XII Title game 11/1/2008- Texas loss to Texas Tech 1/7/2010- Texas loss to Alabama in Title game 5/28/2018- Rockets lose to Warriors Game 7 WCF. 27 straight missed 3's
  7. Oladipo out tonight. WTF, these injuries and lineup shuffles are fucking getting ridiculous. Also, I love PJ Tucker, but he has been horri-bad. He isn't a fit on this team His skillset (at least what he used to bring to the table)would be better suited for a contender that needs a solid wing defender.
  8. What a POS. Even if true...wouldn't(a normal person) allow the family to be the ones to break the news of something like that? Fucking, turd.
  9. Kudos to you Wulaw...I've enjoyed following your experience. It's a shame how things like this are often times ruined by the adults. I mean, fucking 1st grade basketball...no matter what, is not serious business. It's a shame too because those kids need a coach like you at that age..teaching fundamentals, rotating positions etc. It sounded like a great plan. Any way..congrats on making it through. F that one dad and I hope you and your son find something else to do together.
  10. I don't see it on Memphis. Their record is a bit of an anomaly with 6 of their last 9 games being postponed. That being said, I think Top 3 are pretty well set in some form. 4-12 will be a fight to the end. WTF is Dallas doing?
  11. You know what sucks..When cleaning out some stuff for goodwill and actually giving away my NCAA 14 for my PS3. It was really only like 1 of 4 or so games I played. I swore it was in the player, when I tossed the case. Hopefully with this announcement, the price of a used 2014 will come down some.
  12. I think the notion that Sam, or any other participant in the exhibition game hurt or improved their stock, is ridiculous. An exhibition game with a week of practice? GTFOH Scouts know what these guys can/can't do. I don't think Sam is an NFL QB, but his performance in this game will have little to do with him being drafted or not.
  13. Full squad tonight, provided no "load management" BS. McCollum and Covington out for Port.
  14. This. I've never completely bought in. Having been born and raised here, I've watched them over the years and I want them to do well, but my fandom left with the Oilers. I'll never understand how a team with no history, no identity and just created out of thin air, has garnered such a devoted following. I know it's Texas and football and all that, but fucking A...how many times do you have to get kicked in the nuts before you wave the white flag. I hope this will be the city's "wave the white flag" moment.
  15. I mean, if this isn't the biggest dumpster fire in Pro sports, I don't know what is. Has a team ever just torn it down completely? Without Watson to protect, what good is having Tunsil? I assume Watt is on his way somewhere out of respect? Trade anybody you think you can get something for. What does the 2022 draft look like?
  16. Boil House in Houston is our go to. They've already started, but we will probably hold off a few weeks.
  17. Feel free to insert your own perjorative or descriptor as you see fit.
  18. That's fucking gross. But pretty much what I would expect of any predominantly white, affluent suburb.
  19. It's a low risk move, but yeah...given his background, I'm not a fan of it. The allegations against him and his locker room meltdown indicate he's an immature knucklehead. This is an obvious move towards a complete teardown of this team. Gordon, Tucker and Oladipo will be gone by the deadline Cousins will probably be waived

    Gym Pet Peeves

The only thing that really bothers me is inconsiderate a holes. One I came across recently...guy using multiple benches/machines. and kind of just doing his own circuit training. Not only that he had a ton of fucking weight on the bench...and just left it when he was done. I want so say it was like 275. And his form was incredibly bad/dangerous So to you, mister circuit-trainer-in-a-crowded-gym-with-too-much-weight-and-your-poor-form...I hope you forever have back issues.
  21. Well Lamar is right off River Oaks Blvd. in the Upper Kirby district. Lots of wealthy kids go to Lamar. Or at least they used to in the 90's. I think a Houston equivalent(demographically at least) for Westlake would be Memorial. Obviously without the success.
