  1. Watching this as well. I know glass houses and all, but that is a fucked up family.
  2. I'm going to need more than a 2 game sample to make a decision. Game 1 they actually looked like a real team. Grated it was against UTRGV, but 41 % behind the arc was good to see given their shitty shooting over the previous years. This team has crazy athleticism, they need to use it more. You see flashes. It's basically a similar start to the football team. Looked good against UTEP...made plays, offense looked good, Defense tackled well. Then they played Tech and reverted. I hopeful but would not be surprised if they finished around .500
  3. Yurcich can take a walk too. The fact that Connor Brewer is on the field for 99% of offensive plays is fireable offense on it's own. Stop using CUM. Fuck.
  4. I imagine this is what Cosmi looked like leaving his meeting with Herman
  5. ?? NBA? Nah, dude. I'm not sure of what kind of system involves a slow stretch 5 that can't shoot. If you take away the TCU game where he 4-6 from 3, he was 2/33 on the season. 6%
  6. Multiple threads and posts absolutely jinxing the fuck out of Urban coming here. I'm holding all of yous responsible if he isn't coaching here in 2021. Fuckers.
  7. I guess obscurity is relative. This was a good one. In addition to Hawke and Phoenix it featured a young Amanda Peterson may she RIP.
  8. Money Pit, Strange Brew and Star Wars?! C'mon Man!
  9. These were the first 2 that came to mind
  10. Negative. They moved from the Metrodome to an outdoor stadium in 2009.
  11. Seen LeVert, Dinwiddie, and Allen..in addition to 6+ first round picks/pick swaps. ^ ^ There it is..
  12. Watched about 5 min of that "basketball" game between Bates and Holmgren. AAU games are unwatchable.
  13. Harden to BKN would be a fucking disaster. Not only would they be gutting their entire team/bench, you've got 3 ball dominant players, all with some degree of bitchassedness. Lol..have fun.
  14. Went to Ostia on Dunlavy on Saturday for lunch. Will be going back. We shared the caeser salad, Mussels w/ white wine/butter/jalapeno and some big crusty bread, and a 4 cheese pizza bianco. Food was great, weather was perfect, great patio and we ran into an old server friend of my wife's family
  15. Let me first say I love PJ for his heart, toughness and his fit in Houston. I'll always root for former horns. He probably deserves a raise for being a 6'5" power forward and taking a beating every night while able to knock down corner 3's. That being said...he's 35 years old making $7-8M/ year. I think if you put him on another team, he doesn't have near the impact he has had in Houston.
  16. Now Hadnot ran through a bunch of folks, but Steve Atwater wasn't one of them. He left Arkansas is 88. Hadnot was a Fr in 1990 As for the UH game...I was in high school and my mom and I drove up from Houston. My dad was a Prof at UH and we were able to get tickets that way. Outside of being in the student section while I was at UT, it's the only time I've sat on the East side of the stadium. We were on the Southeast end of the stadium...somewhere around the 20 or so. Poor UH cornerback (#17) was getting his head kicked in all night when Hadnot would round the corner.
  17. This. Who is the backup holder? Now THAT is a question I never thought I'd ask on a football message board.
  18. Brewer had a good start to his career, showed a little promise. Then his knee got bent backwards. He's been bad ever since. It's so disheartening when we take over on O and it shows the 1st unit trot out. Sure enough, there is #80. I'm pretty sure he was in on every down against Baylor. I just don't understand it.
  19. I'm guessing some dudes from OSU fucked up his Camaro earlier this week
  20. Cruising around on Youtube...came across a simulation of this game on NCAA 2021 We won 38-34....so at least we have that going for us. Which is nice.
  21. Came to post the Carnation Breakfast bars. So fucking good. Also reminded me of the Breakfast Squares...more cake-ish, but equally nostalgic.
  22. I get that sentiment, but...there is absolutely no reason it can't be both. The great thing is that the academic reputation of Texas will endure despite the football or basketball teams success or lack thereof. I mean A&M has completely sold out to the SEC and football first culture...look at their fucking acceptance rates? With that in mind, I agree with you. I don't think Texas would ever go down that road. Point is I don't think anything would be sacrificed on the academic side to have success on the field...it's not one or the other.
  23. Nets should be fun to watch. Nash/D'antoni with Kyrie, KD, LeVert...and Jarrett Allen.
