  1. What was the crime? Re: American Nightmare.... Also, it blows we away at how inept some PD's are. You see it all the time on Dateline/20/20 type shows. It's usually some idiot detective saying "we only care about the truth" when that's not the case at all. I'm glad those folks sued the shit out of them and won. Good for them.
  2. This. I watched all of them with Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell..this is more intriguing based on the first 2 episodes. The frozen dude gave me "sloth" from Se7en vibes.
  3. I'm still going back to the guy saying we got "dog walked" by Washington Much like the clap, TexAgs is the gift that keeps on giving..
  4. Understudys...now there's a shifty bunch. The substitute teachers of the theater world.
  5. Had some gumbo at a friends house on Monday. I'm not one to bag on another's cooking, especially as a host...but this was terrible. He's from Louisiana too. No veggies, no seasoning, no spice. Basically just a flavorless roux/broth with sausage. Is this a thing? Last time he made it, he served it with potato salad, which I know is a thing for certain areas of LA, but the gumbo itself was not good.
  6. Beautiful song about an absolutely horrifying subject. Cartel killing in Mexico told from the point of view of a woman/wife/mother that's about to be killed along with the rest of her family. Jerry Joseph is one of my favorite song writers that probably only a handful of y'all have heard of. He visually transports you to that villa that day. It's something else.
  7. Happy New Year, fuckers. Anyone know of any Account Managment roles in Houston?? Industry doesn't really matter. My latest contract role is expiring and am on the hunt for something more permanen/stable. Happy hunting to those on the lookout to start 2024!
  8. This thread seems as good a place as any for this. 🍻
  9. No, silly. Dad's name is Thornton. The "Bruce Springsteen" was a ruse to draw people out of the building so we had the run of the registration area.
  10. When I was registering in person in the 80's, my dad had actually gone back to school as well. He already had a successful career with a string of Big and Tall shops. Anyway, the day of registration, I'm waiting in line with my buddy Derek. Dad shows up and couldn't believe the lines, so he took matters into his own hands. He had his limo driver pose out front of the building with a sign that said Bruce Springsteen. Place cleared out quick....got into that Astronomy class!
  11. I don't think it is. He's won more than any coach in the history of college football. Has made enough $ for multiple lifetimes. He's 72.
  12. Friendly reminder to our fanbois and girls in NOLA. Cure that hangover with a frozen Irish coffee from Erin Rose. Establish a good base by gettin that burger and potato from Port of Call Its going to be tempting, but...
  13. One to come to mind for me is Beautifully Broken by Gov't Mule from the Deepest End show. Filmed down in NOLA as a tribute to Allen Woody..it was a parade of all star bass guests and the show started at like midnight and went til like 4-5 am..this was after a day of Jazzfest. It was fucking awesome. Anyway...here ya go. It's a great song and really builds to the solo at about 7:30 or so.
  14. Smoke some of that electric lettuce and relax, maaaan.
  15. Saw in IG video of someone talking about Cam Ward meeting with tOSU and wanting $1-2M. Said they laughed at him. Somec random person in instagram seems as reliable as the next guy, right?
  16. Trying to ramp up the Christmas spirit in the house.. Watched Violent Night last night. Pretty good shit. 😆
  17. His Netflix special was great. The George Washington museum bit 😭
  18. "What's it going to be Maalik....Cocks or Beavers?" "We're talking football mascots, right? RIGHT?"
  19. UGA fans complaining about someone else's "soft" schedule after playing their schedule this season?
  20. QB from Lee Arm is ready to throw for about 2000 yards next year. Solid team coming back 13 starters, 22 lettermen. They're looking tough
  21. Netflix- Leave the World Behind (Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, Mahershala Ali) Pretty solid flick, imo. NYC family randomly goes on a weekend vacation out on Long Island. Cyber attack shuts everything down. No phones, internet/TV etc. Bunch of weird shit starts happening. Nuclear attack on US
  22. We started Obliterated last night. It's fucking awful. A few chuckles here and there, but the acting and writing is pretty bad. The lead is hot and gets naked.
  23. Annual Xmas trip to visit the in-laws is set. Used Jet Blue miles, so unfortunately flying into to JFK. We jokingly talked about a helicopter to get to Manhattan, as the drive from JFK is a beating. We would be landing late afternoon, so even worse than normal. It's surprisingly not as expensive as I anticipated. Plus a 5-min flight is much more palatable than a 2 hour commute after a 3 hr flight. So, we're being super extra...and taking Blade. Anyone used it??
