  1. Clear admission of a "soft" rebuild. Always had questions about Parsons. He's exceptional at what he does, BUT paying a tweener LB $47M per year who is often battling injuries, disappears late in the season, and has cited as locker room issues and cant' stay off social media rants.
  2. Two #1s and addresses a major DT issue immediately without having to break the bank on a guy that seems to disappear in the playoffs. Interdasting...
  3. GD kids messing with my watch and gun game....
  4. Lol, yeah - good catch. No more babyzzzz. Snip & cut. Time to party! She's a senior in HS and loves her some expensive, private schools that recruited her to play sports.
  5. Beautiful. Kid in college and another on the way has me postponing what I really want next - the Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Ti-Ceramitech Luna Rossa
  6. I don't fucking need to. We all saw it. Simms was one of, if not the top rated QB in the country for his class. He had a good, but not great career. He feasted on shitty teams, put up lots of yards, and had ONE quality win. He was arguably worse than the incumbent that he only beat out because he had his knees shredded in a bowl game. He's just anther overrated HS player that underperformed. There are many more of these than lower rater players that overperformed. Some Like Manziel went on to win the Heisman. Or Mayfield and Bradford. Many others put up good numbers, won the games they should have, and never took their team over the top. That was Simms.
  7. If only we had, I don't know - a fucking three star on his own team to compare his production to.....
  8. Who the fuck over the last few pages is talking about Ewers. It's devolved into another Simms/AW comparison and Simms under/overperforming. Simms had a decent, but no great career. very 3*-esq. Then you shit down your leg with 3* star comparisons over modern recruiting rankings when you had a fucking three star outplaying him while he was on campus. Modern rankings would have Simms rated as a high 4*, low 5*. A rating he clearly never came close to fulfilling.
  9. You fucking walked right into this one didn't you. This entire fucking thread is about Applewhite vs Simms. Simms vs a fucking THREE STAR RECRUIT on his own damn team. Who many, many people see as outplayed him and outperformed him during their respective times at the school.
  10. His tenure and accomplishments relative to his recruiting rankings and pedigree can be objectively viewed as less than overwhelming. He performed on campus and in games as you would expect a very solid 3* to perform if you look back at his tenure at the school. This happens to a lot of highly rater players, who can also be said to under-performed, or even disappointed relative to their initial hype. This is also a sports message board - talking about player performance. It's almost all subjective
  11. If you reload, just load up a few FMJ's and see how pigs they'll zip through!
  12. Ugh, I think I'm still hungover from that shit-tastic game/season....
  13. Live in Frisco. Saw Swoopes at the Kroger on Legacy & Lebanon years back when we spent a brief stint with the Cowboys. Yelled out "SWOOOOOOPS" from across the produce section and flashed the horns. He smiled. Flashed them back. The end. Always liked the guy.
  14. Or that Simms utterly and absolutely owned aggy soup to nuts. Lit them on fire and shit on the ashes
  15. Yeah, I was there. Only thing that I can remember topping it in person was the VY comeback against Ok St. That was electric!!!!
  16. Was that the Ok State game when Texas got ass fucked by the refs and the defensive holding penalty on Poona?
  17. Not on such a stage. Win, and the team is in. Coupled with a heartbreaking comeback that fell short....it was agonizing.
  18. "Maybe" - if he doesn't shit the bed against CU in the championship and Texas goes to the MNC, he's idolized. Then Major orchestrates a hell of a comeback, then balls out again in the bowl game and his reputation is set. It was the bowl game at the Cotton Bowl when AR shredded his knees that things changed. He rehabbed all summer, so Simms got the nod to practice with the 1st team and why Simms was the started going into his season.
  19. I think it was more that he was a local kid who'd been a Texas fan since childhood who came in on the tail-end of some historically bad QB play
  20. He was overrated considering how much adoration he received. We all knew Swoopes, Heard, etc. were limited and failed early and often....paving a long road of expectations and hope. Sam performed marginally better and everyone went full aggy-savior, putting this guy on a pedestal way above his actual performance.
  21. So he's trolling Trump by trolling BB&B? Got it. At least they agree on something
  22. I'd call baylor. Boy do I have a deal for you....
  23. Oh, come now - you're so good at the Godwin label argument. Going back to W. It's your thing.
  24. So we've moved on from Gavin Newsome doing the exact same thing because a struggling company dared to state why they are leaving a certain state. Cool. Or prior examples going back decades. And, to be fair you also have a favorite book
