  1. On the wheel-gun side of the house, Chiappas are focused on the same ergonomics with the bore firing off the bottom cylinder and not the top. I really like them, they are just so damn proud of them.
  2. Meh, it's just what he is comfortable with. Most ranges have lots of options to rent. I tried with Glock43, just couldn't make it work. I also know more people carrying a Shield or Shield 2.0 than any other option. Check them out as well. My old girl
  3. I know where they came from...
  4. So many options, it's hard to know where to start. I went with the P365 because I'm a Sig fanboy. If I wanted to really look at the perfect option, the P365XL Spectre Comp is pretty slick. At the end of the day, it's the Indian, not the arrow. Just pick one and dive in after you shop around some. I'm not a huge fan of 1911's for carry. The smaller ones ( I have heard) have more issues that the full size frames in terms of reliability and they are much heavier than the polymer options. I keep my 1911 near the bed or open carry at the ranch.
  5. Not the most sophisticated fix, but I have a stock mount one of my rifles with a raised gel cheek pad. Might help bridge the gap between what you have and what are buying?
  6. Micah needs to get off all social media. Comes off a petulant child
  7. Yep. Campo was on the radio talking about how small the Dallas defense has been trending. They desperately need help at LB. Vander went down, Overshown got hurt, that fatty from MI was a bust. It's easy to neutralize Micah by running right at him. Injuries in the secondary If Dallas isn't up and putting the other team in passing situations, they struggle
  8. Big Tamale strikes again, gobbling up all the competition
  9. DFW says hold my beer. 635 has been under construction since the time of the dinosaurs.
  10. Friend of mine's kid took this smaller buck at our place years back with a .300BK with a can. With subs the receiver is the loudest part of the process and the impact of the rounds. Great for hunting in a blind where you can talk the shooter through the steps without ear protection.
  11. My treasured SI Texas football and autographed pic from Mack post graduation
  12. Oddsmakers in Vegas scrambling to update their odds on Norvell FSU NIL Violations
  13. The only TV we have at the ranch is a crappy TV/VCR combo I picked up at a pawn shop with Lonesome Dove playing on a loop. I've seen it eleventy billion times. Never gets old.
  14. Listened to a podcast Nate was on and his story about how me made the team. Pretty cool to have him unpack it like he did. He basically walked on at practice, and I think it was Mad Dog that had a soft spot for soldiers who talked to Mack and gave him his shot. He spent months and months learning to deep snap and the rest is history.
  15. Not just from a recreational space that everyone thinks is the reason so many people own them, but from a practicality perspective, no other option can be modified and adapted to suit any of a hundred different applications. They're the next iteration in technology - one rifle can be modified for long distance shooting in the morning, and then modified again for CQB work in the afternoon, then altered again to hunt with in the evening. Just swap out barrels and optics, uppers if you want a different caliber choice.
