  1. No mention of Princess Bride! Great flick! Dude, they killed his father!
  2. So many good choices. Sicario - maybe leave the dudes family alone? Jason Bourne - maybe let him go about his business? Barbi - beech, give up the goods.....
  3. The others: Denzel has one even better:
  4. Late to the party. So running on WA seems to work? Who knew….
  5. Or you buy them a few drinks......
  6. Yep, everyone thinks they're 300+lbs until they get them on the scale
  7. We still remember his whining/crying about being left out of the Rose bowl when VY broke his foot off in MI's arse.
  8. This. Worst pistol I've ever fired was a little S&M featherlight snubby .357mag. Felt like I'd grabbed an electric fence. Compare this to .454's, 44mags, even a .50. The weight of those mitigates most of the recoil. Worst rifle I ever fired was a Mosin-Nagant carbine in 7.62 x 54. Tiny little stock with a metal butt plate shooting what could be compared to a 7mm mag. Shoulder was blue for days
  9. I doubt any of the mentioned factory options will let you down in the accuracy department. <500yrds they are all probably 1MOA rifles with the right ammo. For the "smaller" option, I know everyone loves the 6.5CM, but I'm still a huge advocate for the 7-08. It's a short-action, flies faster and hits harder <500yds, and has a myriad of bullet weight options for smaller or larger game. X-bolt is exceptional. Don't know why I left it out. If you want a light, super compact option, check out the Sig Sauer Cross in either .308 or 6.5CM (still both great rounds)
  10. I had something similar. Tell you what, F all those psychotic cold plunge advocates, but I can say throw on a pair of shorts every morning, grab a cup of coffee, and stand knee-deep in the pool for five minutes. Anything under 52 degrees is fine. Really helped me with the inflammation. I did try the whole immersion once. Lasted three minutes. Wife said "figures"......
  11. Yep. Had a friend with a 7mag "mountain rifle" that absolutely sucked to fire. It was so light the recoil/report was just not fun to practice with (I was thinking about borrowing). 30-06 with 180gr pills will take just about anything in N.America with decent placement.
  12. I still have the twitches from guys at open bay shooting ranges with muzzle breaks and magnums. So damn loud and the overpressure slams into you each and every time when they are next to you.
  13. And never, ever, ever sit next to me at the range.....;)
  14. Applewhite also had both knees shredded against the Pigs at the Cotton Bowl. He rehabbed throughout the year and was limited practicing with the first team - opening the door to Simms who the majority of the reps.
  15. Lot to unpack here. For a jack of all trade's rifle, caliber "up", meaning go big. In this case, 300 Winnie would make the most sense. It's also a fairly common round and access to ammo isn't as difficult as say Weatherby/Lapua. Especially if you are travelling. Of the myriad of rifles mentioned, you really can't go wrong with any of them. They are all high quality. If a carbon barrel is your choice, then that will narrow things down. I'd add the Savage Impulse. If you like Tikka, check out the t3X Lite-D-18. I'm a big fan of both lines. Christensen are basically semi-custom rifles and sweet shooters. At the end of the day, you will have a great rifle, good glass, and it will come down to practice and familiarity with the platform. Especially shooting with sticks, on the move, and with an elevated heart rate.
  16. Locked in the same vault as the Kennedy tapes
