  1. Fine hypothetical mechanics are he will start classes at some date in January 2024. NIL will begin at some point after. There's your hypothetical mechanics.
  2. Hypothetical mechanics are that Simmons will start classes in August of 24, sometime after that date NIL will begin. That's it.
  3. I never said Texas was confident. I said Colin knew how this was going to go. Now was it a foregone conclusion we weren't gonna step on our own dick ala Herman alienating people or something going sideways with NIL expectations? No. As for waffling on bad news? Nahling never got antagonistic like he did with Gipson or Gibson or however you say his name. That's Nahling waffling. Roach? The guy is the very definition of deliberate and methodical. Currently though he might be a better bet then Fong though. Gerry and Bobby never waivered. My point though was barring a Tom Herman esque screwup, Simmons knew where he was going long before last night.
  4. Not sure I buy all the story about the decision making. 1) Do I believe he gave a silent in June? Yes. 3 weeks later we had Fong waffling on his LSU pick. He was reported to be recruiting for us. The 9.95ers were losing their mind about "good news". 2) Do I believe he gave LSU a silent? No. I believe he had a whale of a time on his visit. I believe Frank Wilson is a crafty vet of recruiting. I believe they got some really good vibes from the Simmons camp. But I don't believe he gave them a silent. I believe he was telling them what they wanted to hear but when he got back to Duncanville and came off that post visit high, reality set in. The number one reason I don't buy it? Texas 9.95ers never wavered. If he had silented to LSU one of them would have heard something. It would have gotten out. 1) NIL-Everyone knows it was a priority for him. 2) His brother and proximity to family. You could tell from the video how much his brother means to him. 3) Colin is smart. He knew how to drum up interest and he knows how to tell a narrative on his recruiting, but I fully believe this wasn't as in doubt for him as he makes it sound. 4) Brian Kelley is apparently the LSU version of Tom Herman. Did he play the game for more NIL stuff? Sure. But that's just taking care of family and good business. It doesn't mean he actually was seriously going to LSU. 9.95ers have been falling all over themselves to say it was Texas without saying it was Texas for 24 hours. The Miami idiocy getting repeated over and over...heck the stupid article about his mom wanting Jason Taylor to coach her son when it started sounding to much like a forgone conclusion he was going to Texas was the most obvious smoke screen in history. But this is just me reading all the tea leaves. I know absolutely jack squat....so who knows maybe he did decide last night. But it doesn't fit with how deliberate he has been about all this.
  5. In all honesty no idea. But it's like 100% the reaction of the opposing fan base when they don't get picked.
  6. live view at LSU bitching about how classless the hat thing was and that Simmons and Texas deserve each other for such classless behavior(note similar reaction would be occuring here if he picked them But he didn't!)
  7. I just hope this doesn't have 20 minutes of video of him running over kids half his size in peewee football like a certain offensive lineman that went to Stanford...
  8. Man if that Wiltfong tweet didn't scream he's going to Texas....the Nahlin one definitely does. That's about as reserved as Nahlin can be.....plus everyone falling all over themselves to say Miami is a player.... Kids coming to Texas but 9.95 is trying to keep the suspense for him.
  9. Rationality? It seems pretty much the same garbage: We're buying him with a ridiculous offer, but he really wants to go to LSU. We're a entitled program full of mercenaries that develops nobody and if he was really serious about football he'd be going to LSU. ETC ETC ETC
  10. "The Tweltht Man Foundation is a seperate entity from the athletic department" see if the IRS believes them this time.
  11. Yeah I said Bill Embody but I was meaning Sonny Shipp earlier. Not that he is on Ketch's level or robbing charities.....LSU already fills that role.....but Shipp is just a tool.
  12. Bill Embody is such a tool.....I know that's standard for most 9.95ers...but geez he is such a beating.
  13. Dang straight. Millenials and their dang youtubes.....
  14. I don't know, the idea that a senior to be used the rich vs wealthy phrase in a conversation with their father is really convincing to me.
  15. Please tell me this sudden surge of optimism from LSU isn't going to require us to admit the idiot from the end of June that was arguing with Sidney and CTJ that LSU wasn't hosed in NIL Era may have ben right?
  16. So Verlander trade aside, for those of you who truly follow farm systems and such, why is our farm system considered thin? I know we have traded players away for prospects...but so do they Yankees and Dodgers who are reported to have much deeper farm systems.....is it the bs penalties for us being the sacrificial lamb for sign stealing or what? Just curious.
  17. "If we win I was calling plays with Bobby's input.....if we lose it was all Bobby. But in reality I have no idea how this shit is going to work." Jimbo translator.
  18. Not saying better but comparatively Priest leaves Jamaal behind. Heck he leaves all 3 in the fust in total TDs.
  19. Somebody been watching From, great show so far In all honesty I don't have a clue what your talking about. But that reference is pretty common in literally and even tv. Come to think of it, Longmire was last thing I saw it mentioned in.
