  1. Weeeelll... a former shitty Texas coach also took his program torpedo skills to Tuscon.
  2. Here is the aggie P4 team OOC recruiting list. Unfortunately for them, 2 of them are SEC. Top 5 worst P4 teams Good news for aggie. Wake Forest, Northwestern, Purdue, Arizona, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Michigan State are all on the table. I'm gonna be kind and not mention UCLA for... ya know.. reasons.
  3. Well, that's true.
  4. Oooofff! That is not good news for the ND game.
  5. That is the upside of a team whose coach gets about 8 wins every year and is, at some point, in contention for a SEC championship, they have longevity. Add to it, aggie can't afford anyone else, and The Elk is there to stay.
  6. His talent is his athleticism. His QB/football habits and ego are his issues. Like I said in my last post, he's been taught this brand of QB play his entire life. This isn't bad habits that weren't coached out in college or high school.
  7. Come on man, 93 is completely wrapped up. Further, if a QB is LOOKING at a how a specific OL is doing against a particular DL, he shouldn't be starting for a P4 team much less NFL. As far as bad habits, there we agree. He has a lot of them and they've been taught to him his entire life. They are built to create good numbers for QBs in high school and maybe college. Manufactured numbers if you like. A QB doesn't quickly get out of habits trained into them since peewee football and throughout college by the same coach. Moreover, the NFL isn't the place to do so. Shaduer's entire muscle memory and QB instinct/process has to be rebuilt from the ground up. Maybe some coaching staff in the CFL has time to do such, but that requires a QB with the humility to accept that reality.
  8. Here is a good, recent reddit discussion on antennas with lots of resources. There are simple answers and complex ones. The further out/more remote you are the more complex the answer.
  9. It's an early game. The o/u is at 3 couches and 1 dumpster. I went with the under but hedged the over on 40% increase in assaults and DWIs.
  10. Gary Shandling really nailed that role.
  11. ESPN stats seem to support Gabriel being #2 Pickett 2024 Season Gabriel pre-season
  12. Let me add some highlights and point out some things beyond the fact that he's not prepared to throw the ball. I commented before he pre-snap reads and post snap progressions are terrible. The red line us where Shadeur is looking the blue arrows are where his receivers are going the yellow is open field and what I think is a LB behind on 87 Sal Canella (cut yesterday). So even IF the ball was up, he doesn't see the currently open TE and one potentially running into open space. At this point in the pic he should be at the end of his release to 87 which appears would have gotten 8-12 yards or to the WR about to be in open space.
  13. If you go up I65, which is likely, you will pass Mammoth Cave and the Corvette Museum in/just past Bowling Green coming and going off the interstate. If you're a car guy or process geomorphology nerd, both are well worth the time.
  14. I'm not one much for rules limiting athletes on health aspects when they want to keep playing. Head injuries are a massive exception to that preference for me. We've been making light of it here, my self included, but the aftermath of these is absolutely brutal and horribly sad.
  15. When in doubt, we know the rules. Put it on the wall!!
  16. Agreed, but I think it would merit a new thread.
  17. I'm confident aggie Pat saw the formulaic, predictable drivel produced by Billy. They then caught wind of the millions he was grifting from the aggie athletic department and the marks on Texags. They proceeded to use this formula and ChatGBT to produce a glowing, gushing and similarly formulaic email to the powers that be at Gig'em Gazzette. The fine editorial staff at Gig'em Gazzette was blow away by the love, deep appreciation and understanding aggie Pat had not only for the "history" of aggie sports but the "noble military traditions" we all know and love. Thus was my boy Graham was born, and he'll ride this wave until a chink appears in the armor and he can take down Billy as the aggie soothsayer. It is written, so let it be done.
  18. How many time do we have to cover the fact that we are no longer kink shaming here on Surly.
  19. Offense starts a lot slower than Surly likes. Words are typed, things are broken. OSU scores first. The offense settles and gets an emotional boost from a big sack on a 3 and out for OSU late 1st. Texas: 28 OSU: 21 Arch goes for 38 rushing and 289 through the air for 327 yards total. Surly complains about lots of ticky tack stuff for no good reason.
  20. YouTube TV has a first time subscription for 49.99 for the first 3 months and 82.99 after. It's certainly not the cheapest way, but for non-longhorn football Saturday, using their multi-view allows me to see 4 games at the same time. I was happy to have it yesterday with Stanford v Hawaii, Fresno v Kansas and Sam Houston v West Kentucky. One was a boring, but the other two allowed me too see great execution in a close game and shitty execution at the same time. (great execution wasn't happening on the Island) Correction:
  21. Apparently the Cheesehead media thinks the same. 😉
  22. Yeah, Tua is good, if healthy. If is doing a lot of heavy lifting though. Is Miami in worse or better shape than Cleveland regarding QB room. Cleveland being the consistent floor of the NFL with Dallas attempting a shot at the crown.
  23. I've never really kept track of QB 3s prior to this year. It's a unique situation in that both Miami and Cleveland were being closely watched. Would love some input from someone with more insight on that aspect.
  24. At 2.3 yards average in passing Shadeur should have just gone full wildcat and immediately ran outside after each snap with zero intention of passing. I think he may have done slightly better.
  25. Fair. Regardless of what media are talking about, Miami has a legit QB room issue. The Wilson contract was a bad move. I don’t know enough about Tua's contract to comment on it nor if Miami has the cap room to keep Ewers and Wilson. So I'll plead ignorance in that regard. I do know that a 3 deep of Tua, Wilson and Ewers won't make the Miami fans happy unless something miraculous occurs. Smoking some hopium, maybe Quinn steps up and ends up taking over for Tua after he is invariably injured. I have serious doubts but..
