  1. So you think Quinn can win a championship for Texas? That's what it boils down to. If you do think Quinn can, then he should continue to play. If you don't think he can, then we should play Arch so he has playing time and prep for next season. Then there's me, it's too late at this point to win a NC with either. Sark already shit the bed not making the change at Georgia. Because my long list prior he can't and sadly this season is most likely a wash. However, I'll smoke Hopium with he Quinn cock gobbling crowd because it's better than nothing. I'll also wager I'm one of the few here arguing the point either way that has a hotel room booked and tickets for both the SEC championship and the National Championship. Edit - Like Sark, Texas and all Longhorn nation, at this point, despite not getting our inside draw on the turn we're pot committed. However, I know my odds and admit them openly.
  2. Yeah, and it might have been good for Arch to have a few games to learn. Like say, second half of Georgia, Vanderbilt, Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky and aggie.. right?
  3. What Quinn lovers fail to recognize is the reality that we aren't winning an NC with Quinn and need to look at next year.
  4. Did we win a national championship? Musta missed it. And I'm thinking of next year. But I get it, Hopium is delicious.
  5. I'm not just considering this year you dumb fucking Quinn cock gobbling moron. And.. no, he doesn't
  6. He reps Quinn, or is associated with those who do.
  7. You rep Quinn or are associated with those that do. That much is clear at this point.
  8. I said it way earlier in this thread, Sark needed to make the change during Georgia. Arch should have stayed in, and stayed the starter. He made a massive head coaching blunder. He just did. I said it before but I think several factors contributed to this decision. 1) Ego. Sark already said, over and over, that Quinn was the starting QB. To change that is to admit he was wrong. 2) Sark is the QB whisperer. So not only would he have been wrong about who the best player was to start, but he couldn't "whisper" to the one he chose. Ego. 3) Fear of benching an NFL drafted QB. To bench Ewers only to have him drafted (which @Codaxx has addressed) would send a sign that Sark "doesnt know shit". That would be the talking point of the talking heads, and might very likely, potentially adversely effect future recruiting efforts. 4) I think because of 3 someone was in his ear. Was it the talking ear piece on this thread @thatguy that reps Quinn? Was it Texas money guys that love Quinn? Was it NFL scouts? Who knows, but I'm pretty confident this also played a part. Am I willing to smoke some Hopium and pray that Quinn can win the SEC and lead us to the Championship... I like drugs so sure. Does my logical mind see that happening? SEC champ... MAYBE... National champ, can't fucking see it. Do I want the Hopium to be correct and logic to be regarded, absolutely. 100%
  9. And this! If we can't beat aggie we ain't wining the fucking 1st prize anyway. Save me some cash and let's pack it in.
  10. There's another odd dynamic that exists in polling beyond what @Horn of Gabriel spelled out above. They hate to be wrong, talking heads hate to be wrong, haters love to hate, and there's always those that love jumping on whatever bandwagon happens to be rolling around. So those that have been supporting Texas as a NC team, those hating on Texas sos, those that were voting Texas top 5, those that love a bandwagon could all take a late season loss to a not great aggie squad as the reason to leash the hate hounds. Sure, there well be a handful on contrary mofos that still support Texas, but they'll be the exception. It happened to FSU last year post Louisville, rightfully so. Texas loses to aggie late... I think the wheels roll, guillotines come out and Texas is lead to the slaughter. We don't win both Kentucky and aggie, I can't see Texas making the playoffs. For the logic reason Gabriel spelled out and frankly haters gonna hate. Texas is a brand like a few others that have that sort of national brand. On or off the bus, but it's binary.
  11. I mean... I like watching something while beating my own cock so who are we to judge?
  12. I keep saying it and nobody listens, but IU has been the most consistent team all year. True they haven't played a tough schedule but they've, for the most part, been curb stomping all in their path. (Single exception being a crappy Michigan team)
  13. I may actually bust a schadenfreude nut if IU beats Bucknut... and unlike many/most, I'm pretty confident it's going to happen.
  14. You just look over there across the field at all the elephants. You just hate to see all those elephants.
  15. Both Beck and Milroe suck when pressured. Of course, Quinn does too. Georgia's D has shown the ability to pressure Quinn. I think Bama would have more difficultly doing so, and I'm very confident Texas D would pressure Milroe. As such, I personally prefer to play Bama from a match up perspective. I prefer Georgia from a payback perspective. But most, I just want to beat Kentucky.
  16. I agree and it's why I listed him with Sanders and Ward as one of the 3 best that weren't in the SEC. Probably, the best of those. I'm just really glad Venables disagreed with both of us.
  17. I went to a Friendsgiving event in Nashville yesterday. Lots of Tennessee natives and Grads. In the conversation the thing I realized is that the 3 best QBs in the nation don't play in the SEC. In fact, the "best" QBs in the SEC are all missing aspects. Milroe, Beck and Quinn struggle under pressure. Quinn can't run, Milroe still runs to often, Dart is hit or miss, ironically, and Beck loves to throw INTs. Of those, Dart is, imo probably most consistent, but there isn't one of them I would personally take over Sanders, Gabriel or Ward. It's a weird year for QBs and particularly weird for the SEC.
  18. I agree. If you look at the long game for this season and next, we've made our bed.
