  1. Personally, an hour long cliff notes episide of season 2 and jumping into Season 3 would have made me happier.
  2. The word you are looking for is cult. 10 warning signs of a Cult Why People Join Cults: To those on the outside, it can be difficult to understand why anyone would join a cult. They Don't Know They're Joining a Cult - Most individuals don’t recognize the group they’re joining is considered a cult. They Have Unresolved Insecurities Another study found that many cult members experience attachment insecurity prior to joining a cult. Their insecurities may drive them toward a group that promises acceptance. Once they join a group, they’re usually distanced from outside influences. After people are separated from the outside world, leaving the group becomes difficult. They often grow dependent on being in the group and develop suspicions of anyone outside the group. This is why some people suspect that cult members are “brainwashed.” And there is some science behind this idea, as members are often told they’re being persecuted by people outside the group. They Are Manipulated Into Joining The other major theory about why individuals remain in cults is mostly sociological. Cult leaders often promise to reward members in some way. They may tell them they’re going to move up the ranks within the cult or they may convince them that something really good is going to happen to their special group. Does all that sound familiar? Yes, those on the outside can't understand. It's weird because it's a fucking CULT!
  3. I liked Hill shit talking Wisner some "Don't hold me!".
  4. Interesting, I am having the exact opposite experience. I found the Gaal/Salvor story repetitive and slow without what I felt was real and deep exploration of their relationship/feelings. Instead a thin skinned drama, "cause she gonna die" is what we got. That's what I thought should have been the primary relationship focus but the tired Gaal/Hari drama repeat crossed with a very predictable cult cult cult plot made season 2 very slow for me. Season 3 is moving much quicker with much more interesting plots and bigger changes. Love the pace of this season and the various relationships are so much more enjoyable. Well, the autistic musical clown is annoying but..
  5. I don't neg on this sports board or for sports takes, even horrible ones but the way his question was positioned, got real damn close.
  6. There was a shocking amount of suppression and deflection in that message. Holy shit! I think his son went to Bama to get as far as he could from the "ghey hate" his father clearly suffers while still attending a school in an "approved climate/state". Or... maybe his son just wanted to pull for an actual winner.
  7. It is absolutely aggie to hedge all bets regarding Texas. Michigan was going to crush us/is so weak now was the chant last year. Of course, given zero originality or unique thought an easy rinse repeat is on the table for another top 10 matchup where Texas is involved.
  8. That's pretty disappointing coming from Klatt. I would expect that from Stephen A Smith or Skip Bayless but like you said, Klatt is better than this take.
  9. Bumping this as the new trailer is out. I like this series for silly fun. New/final season takes on AI.
  10. Amusingly, by that point I was near a decade past the moment I knew the Cowboys long-term fate. The clock started the day Switzer was hired. At that point, having grown up a Dallas fan I was on the path to eschewing the NFL all together. Had FYJF actually leaned into VY or Houston drafted him and done the same, I might well be a Houston or Nashville supporter today.
  11. Agreed, but I questioned then, as I continue to still, the degree those injuries were the cause of Ewers' issues vs mental and technical ones.
  12. Taco salad would of course be Elk's entrée to his Wedge Xtra bacon Xtra dressing in his "Keto" diet phase.
  13. I posted long ago that I didn't agree with Sark's choice, but understood it post Georgia 1. He's the QB whisperer. If he didn’t stick with his word of Ewers is our starter he would have gone back on that word and his commitment. Not to mention failing as the QB whisperer. @SL Xpress described it in far more detail but..
  14. I bet The Elk would murder a wedge with extra bacon and dressing.
  15. I just added the Cowboys, Raiders, and JaMarcus. If that ain't enough toxicity for you, seek help.
  16. I dunno man, Raiders took JaMarcus Russell as the #1 pick and there weren't any other QBs in the top 20, though there were 2 Longhorns at 19 and 20. May have been an out of the frying pan sort of situation. But it was a shitty year for QBs. Cowboys took Isaiah Stanback from Washington in the 4th. Don't remember him? Yeah, neither do I.
  17. What I personally hope for, which will absolutely dial this thread to 11, is Arch winning a National Championship.
  18. Thought it was more Jay-dun which is pretty close to Jay-din with an emphasis on Jay instead of din/dun. Its critical we get this right.
  19. Aggie doesn't lose, just runs out of time. Cult propaganda out front should have told ya. Also I know you and @notre dame joe are both petrified of the onslaught coming for you in South Bend. TD Jesus can't save you!!! - an old army idgit definitely
  20. Well man, I'm glad you said it first but it needed to be said that 100% of Texas failures since 2005 have absolutely been on the shoulders of VY. You see VY simply set way too high a bar for Texas athletics and in particular the QB position. Had VY not performed to the level he did, Colt getting us to the national championship would have sufficed. Ewers making the playoffs twice would have made us happy. If VY had just dialed back his abilities, stuck to the GDGD script, played afraid like his HC told him and not gone out and beat every team, this thread would be nothing but compliments of Ewers. Now look at us. We all want to compete for and win the NC every damn year. Thanks a lot VY. I know this will be an unpopular take and I commend you for being the first to bring it up.
  21. Nope. Knew a bit of the broad story line but never read them. Why?
  22. I joined late but so far, I've enjoyed season 3 the most. Probably cause there isn't a lot of Gaal and it feels like it's moving more plot lines much faster. Unlike many here I liked Salvor but it was probably just because she was a foil to Gaal. However, the Gaal Salvor line was a god damn beating.
  23. Aggie doesn't top this list. I'm gonna have to see these receipts cause....
  24. Clearly tu rigged the playoffs to play these teams the year after when they knew the teams would be down. Padding the schedule to appear better than it really is. Look it up!
  25. I don't know why anyone posts in this thread I'm currently posting in!!! This thread should die! This tactic is as dumb as believing rage responding to social media rage influencers does anything other than support and promote said rage influencer.
