  1. What came to my mind as well. Cut the supply lines, isolate troops, and cripple moral. Usually works if the flanking is successful. Art of War
  2. I've been to ND more than once during winter in my illustrious career. Once I had to spend a week in Fargo where the temps never got above 0. Zero degrees. Yeah, LA, even with the cost of living increase and a pay cut would be pretty damn temping. Edit - As for the love of watching a slo-mo dumpster fire go full inferno... That's why I'm in this thread.
  3. It would actually make for a good thread, the "worst college football coaches in history". Rolling it around, Mensa might make the list, but for all Mensa's bullshit, CS soars in the stupidity quota. There might be worse coaches, but I can't think of any who were as stupid. I mean, just idiotically stupid and there have been some real idiots in college head coaching.
  4. Fixed that. ESPN is going to be selling CU to the playoffs until they are given hard conclusive data why they shouldn't and then they'll turn on Coach Prime like the half-ass drama fueled hyena shit show they are.
  5. You shouldn't really need to say this to Texas fans... but... you're not wrong.
  6. Well, I did list the 6 teams that I thought they might be favored to win, and followed up with a potential 6-7 win season with 4 not being unrealistic. I didn't specifically note that the other games, including @Texas would be likely losses. That could have been fairly easily deduced, imo. For the record I don't think they'll beat Texas and it is one of Florida's toughest games on the schedule. My first instinct when looking at these things isn't always a Texas fan first. Seems ultimately we aren't that far apart in our assessments so.. Basically we're arguing semantics, which I love and are always super productive.
  7. Here's my take as someone who pulls for both of these teams to lose, every game. If aggie wins, the roller-coaster will just be that much higher prior to the final plunge. They will "put it on the wall" even if ND were to lose every other game this season (they won't, but..) and ND will have lost to aggie thereby starting the hopeful demise of their 9 win CFP season. If ND wins, aggie has a loss and I get to read all the excuses and ran out of time bullshit they are absolutely certain to produce. Either way, I am happy.
  8. He's not as bad as CS, but he's pretty damn bad. As you noted, they have talent. I don't think they will be terrible, but I don't see a winning record either. I just hope they lose to Texas and beat aggie. Only ones I really care about.
  9. Georgia is Neutral sight not a road game. Miami, Ole Miss, UK, LSU and UCF at home are harder than @FSU, @MSU, and @Tennessee. Wanna call Georgia in Jacksonville an "away", not accurate but fine. It's not truly a home game either in fairness. Thus their road games could be argued as harder than home. Happy? The entire point of my post was where I thought Florida's record would be. Not debating the aspects of whether their home or away schedule was more difficult. Note the "what on paper appears" part of the post you quoted.
  10. I'm going to beg to differ a bit here. To each his own, but I have and do hold the belief that recognizing and being grateful for the hard/worst times makes the high points that much brighter. The Yin and Yang of life. I suffered some really painful seasons and a few really good ones prior to attending every game, away and home in 2005. Just before the last play, I turned to a female that I still have a thing for and a very close friend to this day. We got this! 2 witnesses will verify. Then after a few minutes of absolute joy and happiness, I actually thought back to 66-3 when I stayed until the bitter end. Just for a moment, a quick reflection. Worth it. All of it. I'll be there next time too. End of MB, CS and Mensa specifically Kansas will be on my mind, just a quick reflection. I will smile in the glory. That's my way. It's not for everyone. LFG!!!
  11. The corruption and disfunction of Shelby County (Memphis) is really only surpassed by Cook (Chicago) and Orleans Parish. That this was even caught tells me a bag man got fired or he came up short on a delivery.
  12. Spoiler that nightmare fuel Ronald float homie!!!
  13. Well, I actually thought about it after Chad's post. Using a lot, hundreds, of big mylar balloons, with grenades attached, and a small drone type of fan to drive it generally in a direction along with prevailing wind.. it could cause the Russia air defense to react. Read the reactions and rope a dope with some drones from the flank targeting big air defense after initial response and potentially expensive missile launches... This is where my brain goes the Wednesday before college football.
  14. Yep. I'm a full blow regard but that's not news to many.
  15. There are a lot of games that interest me more for the back story aspects than the national championship picture. I actually picked Miami to play in the ACC championship, and I think Miami is a mediocre team with mediocre coaching. That should tell you my level of respect for the ACC generally. What happens against Florida will be a strong indicator of whether or not I had a clue, which, I openly admit I probably don't. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised by pretty much anyone winning the ACC, it's that messed up top to bottom, imo. UGa's game has much a bigger impact on Texas and as such will be the game I focus on outside of CSU. I've already noted my lack of respect for the ACC. I have to go against some here and lean toward Georgia my SEC champ pic. However, I do think this game is a lot closer than it appears to be by most. I'll always turn on UNC in hopes of seeing Mack Brown lose. That's a also ran game and neither are going to make any big impact this year. Finally, I fully admit I'm turning on the CU game in hopes of a dumpster fire of some sort. Lots of interesting games this weekend that will clarify a lot of things for me regarding the bigger picture this year.
  16. Good point and it's a bonus Ukraine didn't try drones held afloat by hydrogen ballons.
  17. As a bit of a student of combat, I openly confess my absolute intrique with what's happening over the skies of Ukraine/Russia. There really is a guerilla air tacts aspect to this fight and the militarized "consumer" drones is absolutely a change that I suspected was coming, but not to this extent, these levels of success and this soon. The Russia v Ukraine conflict while already important historically for a lot of reason us putting several chapters in tactical guerrilla aviation warfare books. Intriguing and great for them against the would be oppressor that is Russia.
  18. The CS era of Texas football followed by the hiring of Mensa lead to me giving up season tickets after 31 consecutive years during which I missed a total of 4 home games. (Mostly missed being early season shit teams and shitty at the time Baylor) If that doesn't tell the story of how lost I believed the program to be, I'm not sure what does. Thanks CS!!
  19. I wonder if he's aware that it is possible to visit South Bend when your team isn't playing a game in South Bend. This weekend might be a a perfect time to do so, as it won't be very crowded and he can probably catch the aggie game on TV at a bar with some locals. Win/win
  20. It was Bogota.. security was doing coke with the drug dealer and his hookers in the "executive lounge".
  21. Well, if young Brisketexan and family were on the way to Oregon and ended up at Carlsbad, someone had some really shitty navigation skills.
  22. I bet the number is surprisingly high. You're in Texas for a hot minute before hitting New Mexico and depending on the route some major cities could be in the mix. I would hypothesize the number at 10. Legit looking place in Denver
  23. Thanks for the clarification, missed it, and that certainly tracks.
  24. Good to see DPS getting in the NSA game. I'm sure it's for the children and not related to the WOD.
