This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
Look at my post on page 229 of this thread. I documented ALL of it. Tldr: He reduced the number of days of practice to 15 and then cut the number of practices per day in half going to 1 time per day instead of 2. He also instituted a NFL style no contact scrimmage practice. He missed junior day, then 2 Mack Brown supplied scrub coaches were hired, and made zero moves in the portal to address gaps. Page 229 its all there and well documented.

Yean Mack was absolutely finicky in his choices.

Arch, despite all he has had to overcome in game plan, no rushing game and no blocking has the single best stat of the entire offense at #40 in national all passing yards. He is way above mediocre.

But Arch should give up money to support the guys dropping passes and missing blocks!!!

You provide zero numbers, zero posters and yet you speak on behalf of their knowledge. Who are the posters? What are the numbers if Bohls is incorrect. Provide a single source, fact or point of substance you twit. But I'm sure some vague someone that posts here, who you won't name know more.

Any you're citing nobody and making vague references to posters on Surly. Nice rebuttal.

Have you seen how shitty the players our coaches are putting in to play? Why the fuck would Arch trust those idiots with his money.

Really shitty choices regarding investments through poor evaluation and development by the coaching staff is how you end up with such a bad team while spending so much money.

Money isn't the fucking problem. Properly applying it is the issue. Wanna let Arch pick his OL, RBs and WRs in the portal? Could not be any worse so, I'm game. Bet he would cough up some of his money in that case.

Don't forget in 2024 there were rumblings about firing Day after he lost to Michigan. You know the coach who won the championship. But yeah Texas fans are THE WORST, Kirby says so, so you know it's true.

And some feathers will get ruffled but Sark also has to answer to the fans that pay big money to come to the games, but Texas swag, and support things like Burnt Ends. There was someone complaining up thread about Texas fans selling tickets. I don't support that, but it's the price of failure.

Back again, Mack is back, with his friends.

I agree in broad strokes but "bad things" is way too vague a term for me to agree in full. Are these things illegal, violations of policy, or blatant dereliction of duties and responsibilities, then yes. Beyond that in moral aspects the devil is in the details and that's to broad to make a call without details.

Accountability seems to be a word/concept that is absolutely lost to this team. By team I mean HC and every member of the staff and that has been passed on to the players. Lack of performance or issues, dropped balls, wrong WR routes, missed coverages or missed blocks, and penalties seem to have near zero effect on playing time. Frequently when mistakes are made I've not even seen a coach approach the player who made the mistake when leaving the field. Then the coaches blame the players for failures and question the judgements of fans and media. Look in the mirror. I don't get it. At all.

I found this quote from Sark and it honestly made me wonder, what happened to that guy.

You already noted it, but it's worth repeating. What is the level of freedom and frequency with which that freedom is granted. Goal line stand plays only, specific goal line stand plays, how many options, how much during the rest of the game, on 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st, we don't know any specifics and I'm very curious as well.

I obviously don't know the answer but would like to. That said, Sark has demonstrated that he is a hard headed control freak. I have serious doubts he would give up that much of play selection to his QB.

He has made it clear multiple times Sark is to blame for Sark's issues and the teams failures. Just like everyone else. Reading comprehension is hard.- This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
Oh nice goal post shift there cowboy, Cignetti is too old for Texas. Here is how Lanning, Freeman and Cignetti stack up vs one another in the last 2 years. None of this supports your position that "Freeman and it's not close." Quite the opposite.- This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
Freeman hasn't beaten aggie this year, he lost to them. Freeman did last year and so did Sark. The strength of your argument that Freeman is better than Lanning and Cignetti because he out performs Sark (which the data doesn't support)? Freeman can beat Georgia, neither of them can beat OSU. So Freeman is better against Georgia. That's it. Are you even aware of what my position is in all of this? That is a redundant and sarcastic question for the record. I know the answer.- This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
We disagree slightly on the capabilities of X. I feel Sark was pushing Quinn more into passes he wasn't comfortable with rather than X being the primary issue. X's NFL performance in some ways confirms it. However, that's the details. Outside of that one aspect we are in full agreement. The issues of both QBs lays squarely at the the feet of Sark and I would argue that their performances occurred despite Sark outside of rare instances when Sark is forced to alter the offense to align with the strengths and talents of his QB and other offensive players.- This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
Don't forget, they also lost to Aggie this year at home, lost by similar margin to the same team that eliminated Texas by a similar margin in the playoffs last year, and has never won an NC. But he's way better than Sark and all other potential candidates. It's not even close, so I am informed. - This is who Steve Sarkisian is.
