  1. I listened for 5 minutes, skipped forward, listened more. He could see Texas vs OSU turning to a blow out for either team, he could see it being a close game. He could see either team winning. I had AI sum the video. Go ahead.. take a look. Riveting stuff.
  2. I said I wouldn't comment on the 3rd quarter in my original post. There are reasons why, and your point is one of them. The other reason is I predict the 3rd quarter issue are... Texas wins 28-21. Things are.. different. @perfectchaos007 Ahem.. different. Trying to avoid certain discussions from derailing the thread.
  3. Well, I agree and so hopefully my prediction of Texas being up 14-7 at half is correct. I realize the way I typed it isn't super clear but.. I think Texas scores 2 TDs in the first half.
  4. As bad as the ACC is, and despite likely having a good OL, a bad Miami defense is going likely to get worse. New coaching staff, tons of transfers and Beck very nearly mirrored Ewers in the injury department and out performed him on turn overs. He did have the most AR drops so... Beck is NOT Cam, not nearly as mobile and if he runs he could get injured. I don't know that he's going to improve dramatically, particularly when Miami is going to likely need to air it out regularly. I'm not sure he'll finish the season.
  5. That's a bold pick cotton.
  6. That and which ever offense "calms down" first. In every first game the D starts out much more "game ready" than offenses. Typically, that evens out some time around the mid to end if the first, start of the second. Largely, it is related to QB play but WRs drop passes and RBs miss lanes too. End of 1st OSU - 7 Texas - 0 Half-time Texas 14 OSU - 7 For a final of Texas 28 - OSU 21 For obvious reasons I think the Texas offense gets more settled ealier but I suspect home field advantage helps propel OSU into the end zone first. I think momentum swings OSU early then by second quarter leans heavy Texas. I'm not making a call on the 3rd. Just not.
  7. Being of Italian ancestry, the parlay was beaten into me as a suckers bet. Heritage aside, that seems like a very, very good parlay.
  8. Smith is a very solid bet QB item aside.
  9. Exactly!!! We normal, rational, only 10 fucking, 1%ers here on Surly need wackos, doom and gloomers and sunshine pumper to offset our calm, collected thoughts.
  10. Not if Shadeur released the ball when I noted. Look, based on your historical posts in this thread its pretty clear you're simping for Shadeur (and Deion) for emotional reasons. You're not looking at things rationally and that's your right. You've picked the Shadeur hill to die on, and that's also your right, but it won't end well. If you aren't going to logically look at the evidence presented there isn’t need for further discussion on the topic.
  11. Yeah all teams need the likes of him and the @satyanash of the world. We can't all be positive and sane all the time or it would get boring.
  12. Hell, some jerk with wearing ND garbage was a regular at your tailgates as were some aggies.
  13. Weeeelll... a former shitty Texas coach also took his program torpedo skills to Tuscon.
  14. Here is the aggie P4 team OOC recruiting list. Unfortunately for them, 2 of them are SEC. Top 5 worst P4 teams Good news for aggie. Wake Forest, Northwestern, Purdue, Arizona, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Michigan State are all on the table. I'm gonna be kind and not mention UCLA for... ya know.. reasons.
  15. Well, that's true.
  16. Oooofff! That is not good news for the ND game.
  17. That is the upside of a team whose coach gets about 8 wins every year and is, at some point, in contention for a SEC championship, they have longevity. Add to it, aggie can't afford anyone else, and The Elk is there to stay.
  18. His talent is his athleticism. His QB/football habits and ego are his issues. Like I said in my last post, he's been taught this brand of QB play his entire life. This isn't bad habits that weren't coached out in college or high school.
  19. Come on man, 93 is completely wrapped up. Further, if a QB is LOOKING at a how a specific OL is doing against a particular DL, he shouldn't be starting for a P4 team much less NFL. As far as bad habits, there we agree. He has a lot of them and they've been taught to him his entire life. They are built to create good numbers for QBs in high school and maybe college. Manufactured numbers if you like. A QB doesn't quickly get out of habits trained into them since peewee football and throughout college by the same coach. Moreover, the NFL isn't the place to do so. Shaduer's entire muscle memory and QB instinct/process has to be rebuilt from the ground up. Maybe some coaching staff in the CFL has time to do such, but that requires a QB with the humility to accept that reality.
  20. Here is a good, recent reddit discussion on antennas with lots of resources. There are simple answers and complex ones. The further out/more remote you are the more complex the answer.
  21. It's an early game. The o/u is at 3 couches and 1 dumpster. I went with the under but hedged the over on 40% increase in assaults and DWIs.
  22. Gary Shandling really nailed that role.
