  1. There are good, practical reasons to not purchase EVs, there are better reasons not to purchase a Tesla. However, the idiots behavior should not be a reason not to buy an EV if that's the only thing preventing you from doing so. The safest bet, imo? Toyota, but that's a debate for the car nut threads. It's how I would go on an EV, but I personal see more value in the hybrids, for a lot of different reasons. Don't let dumb dumb's behavior push you away from a decision that's right for you.
  2. Your note prior to the article can't be stressed enough. I've lost a friend who decided on a solo trek into the Rockies. I lost contact with mutual friends but last I heard his body was never even found. Emergency locator beacons are not that expensive, not that heavy, and readily available. Anyone that ventures out on foot or vehicles to extremely remote locations needs to be mindful of this simple, affordable, life saving device. And WATER. It's super easy to be immobilized through a relatively mild injury. Sprained ankle. Water, water filtration and Emergency locator beacons. That a couple of protein bars will get you through 99% of what you might face.
  3. When a customer approaches the vending machine, they must agree to terms on the screen, select their desired type of bullets, insert an identification card and participate in a facial scan. Customers have to be 21 years of age or older to purchase bullets from American Rounds’ vending machines. After the facial recognition is confirmed, a customer can swipe or insert their credit or debit card and then wait for their ammunition to be dispensed.
  4. I just would like a bit of clarification. Does aggie actually hold a recruiting party at an apartment pool? Am I understanding that correctly or is it just a pool party at an apartment pool. Admitting my ignorance here that I could typically deduce the reality of the situation, but with aggie what would normally be insane is absolutely in play.
  5. You're truly over thinking this one man.
  6. Hah, no, it's not that I think they will be easy to break into. Likely the opposite, which again gun store is probably easier to get into. It's not that I think breaking into it will be easier, I just known the demographic of who will be attempting the task. Crow bar is the most likely tool, possibly surpassed by aluminum bat, followed by screwdriver. This subset demographic doesn't own any vehicles with working winches. However, wire that's way too fragile and Ram trucks will definitely be in the mix.
  7. Purchased to support Surly folk and get my "knowledge" on.
  8. In all, a great discussion. Subcribed!
  9. I'm nit picking here, but local gun store owners tend to be far more paranoid about "things" than a $10 per hour retail "sales associate". And breaking into the damn thing is going to be far more likely than it being hacked.
  10. Well, I can tell you for a fact MOST gun store and range owners are 100% with you on this aspect. A goodly number of them, particularly ranges, make a substantial amount of their income off ammo sales. Hell, in my small town the local gun shop owner was complaining about the new Academy that got built and them selling ammo. Irony is amusing. While I'm being amused, for the record I buy from ammo from neither local gun stores nor the big box "sporting" sections. In fact, I've sold more ammo TO local gun stores during panic buying than I have purchased. So, I don't even have a dog in this specific hunt.
  11. Mentioned it several times already. The irony is this is actually, in practice, a HIGHER level of scrutiny. Of course, on this topic logic and facts play no part in the discussion.
  12. Depending on the line, I could pretty easily see myself taking Florida in their first 7 games. And I do NOT think Florida is a worth a shit.
  13. Well, I personally much preferred them to where MY Longhorn shirts on Saturday or Sunday morning.
  14. Probably in or just outside top 10, and I'd lean toward 8-10.
  15. So I lived 10 years in Chicago. THE most frequent college team you'd see was ND despite having a substantial Michigan, Whisky, Northerwestern, etc alumnus in the town. I'm confident 99% of those ND tshirts would rather watch a Blackhawks, Bulls or Cubs game over any college football game aside from ND. In Austin, there are larger number of smoke show USC Tshirt women that appear anytime they are playing. I'd be madly happy if every single one of those tshirt fans switched their loyalty to Texas. Of course, aggie would absolutely reject those "yankees" and "hippy women".
  16. The US has always had its own unique form of totally fucked up, from banning of alcohol in the 19th century to the largest prisons system in the world. That said, the weirdness isn't limited to the US, if it comes in completely different forms elsewhere in the world. We may well be king of the barbarian mouth breathing idiots, we're not the only mouth breathing idiot country. Our brand is celebrity worship, prisons, soy loving, tech nerding, guns, money, religion, wacky cause protest and political extremes. Asparagus water dude. Asparagus WATER for sale.
  17. Sadly, Darlene turned into a problem drinker in her late teens.
  18. They also play Samford
  19. You keep saying 380. No real criminal has ever owned or shot a fucking 9 kurtz You're just making shit up now.
  20. If this was happening when Galaga was still out, all you had to say is "it's for my mom/grandma" and they'd sell it to you. Ask me how I know. Clearly you were trying to buy your supply from Tshirt tobacco dealers. Should have asked the nice maroon wearing gentleman in front of the store where you could purchase actual tobacco and not that fake stuff.
  21. Amigo, I like ya, but this reads A LOT like an aggie post, just lacking the Tshirt gun dealers aspect and helping someone on the way to the gun purchase. 9mm Glock Meth Coke Crack HerRon That's your inventory as a street level drug and gun buy all inventory shop. Ain't nobody getting specific about caliber of the illegal firearm and ammo they are purchasing unless they are cartel members.
  22. They can get the gun and ammo illegally and pick up some coke, heroin or meth at the same in most major cities. Many of which they could not purchase a gun or ammo legally in anyway. Why steal from family and go to a legitimate store with cameras.
  23. Porn vending machines? I mean, they have those massive porn stores on the interstates which I'm sure are fantastic, and maybe porn vending machines could work at non-porn warehouse truck stops. So.. upon further review... Bibles are free somewhere. (Edit - ya know, anyone in need of a Bible urgently is likely a pederast. The FBI should look into "Free Bible" vending machines.) Baby formula.. Hmm.. maybe outside the excessive number of nail salons, "vintage" clothing stores and yoga places. Motor oil? Just don't see the market unless placed in a location that a TON of Porsche 911 drivers frequent. My bet, porn vending machines that "includes" a "free" subscription to "xxxtruckerpornxxxdotcom" via QR code on back of tape. I'm in.
