  1. Don't try applying logic. Just nod, smile and move on.
  2. I'm willing to wager sometime this season, at a networking event, bar before a game or somewhere the following will occur. "Oh I'm a huge XYZ college team fan. Grew up with the sport." "Oh, XYZ huh? I was kind suprised when Playa Juan jumped to ABC team in the portal. Was that an purely NIL greed on Juan's part or did your coaches encourage it?" A) Playa Juan? B) Portal? C) NIL?
  3. So you don't think Orlando Community College, Panhandle Aggie and University of Tennessee Chattanooga are gonna be invited to join?
  4. Largely agree, but Arkansas, despite some historical success was never a blue blood in anyone's book.
  5. Of all the teams, Texas is far and away the easiest for all involved. Also easy call on who will complain the most no matter what.
  6. Auburn isn't getting the biggest TV and brands of all the teams in the SEC. That is the best slate and they are getting some shitty teams mixed in purely based on money and TV. SEC commissioner doesn't want it and neither do all 3 of those teams. Similarly Bama AD is gonna laugh if you tell him they 2 of their 3 "locked" are games nobody but that state will care about. Similar for Georgia athletic department. "Auburn and SC? Every year? Go fuck yourself!" After which they rage drive 100+ mph out of the parking lot. Money and TV eyes, aka Brand Games, are going to be the ruling force after known rivalries. The have nots aren't getting the lion's share.
  7. Beg to differ, I'm pretty sure heat stroke and practicing the next day gets one in the starting rotation. Grand mals, from said behavior keeps you on the 2 deep until December.
  8. I get that there will definitely be some fuckery among the lower tier schools. That said, UF and OU have brand awareness nationally. I don't see them getting fucked with such a shitty "rival". Schools most likely to get the shit end will be Missouri, SC, MSU, Vandy, Kentucky and Auburn. I rank Missouri as victim #1 as they really only have history with OU and more recently Arkansas. UF and OU aren't both getting the shit end, imo.
  9. Well, there are people on IT arguing for Texas to drop its top OOC, so when it comes to what's argued here or elsewhere, I'm going to lean logic over internet stupidity. OU and UF in a "pod" make zero sense for fans or markets. AD playing for money does a bit and one could argue Florida recruiting for OU, which is bad for UF. Of all the things I've heard on alignment discussions this is the one that jumps out as the fucking dumbest one for UF and OU fans. Then again, who gives a shit about fans, I suppose when money talks.
  10. My answer, Joe Cook, is MOAR! Then again, I'm not a raging pussy and think to be the best you beat the best. I also love big match-ups for my team. Sidenote, so does the rest of the fucking country that doesn't have sandy vaginas.
  11. Agree with you and @Js1 Pig is hungry and Austin road trip is the #1 or #2 destination city in the SEC with Vandy. If Arkansas gets Texas and LSU I think they are the only ones who would happily take Missouri or MSU.
  12. Never seen 10rc before... amusing. Does ANYONE aside from maybe Arkansas actually want to play Missouri? MSU is, imo, the very worst road game in the SEC and that's a big commitment with Bryan College Station and Fayetteville being two of the fabulous "destination cities". At least Arkansas is beautiful topographically.
  13. Oooff, Tennessee Tech in 2025 is a banger of a match up for Kentucky. Taking a page out of the Georgia playbook from 2024. Don't think I missed you scheduling UT Martin Okie State!
  14. Well, I mean all the 2026 NFL draft picks are really gonna do a number on aggie depth.
  15. That thought struck me last night and I neglected to point it out. Potentially losing their November FCS win is gonna sting. I'm absolutely certain they are one of the schools that drags it feet on altering schedules to P4 and bitches when their FCS wins are shit on about media biases.
  16. I can buy most of that outside of Kentucky. Tennessee is pretty close to their OU for Texas with Louisville being their Aggies but OOC. They lost Indiana a long while back. I think likely either Missouri gets Aggie or MSU gets Bama rather than Kentucky.
  17. I just truly hope that whatever happens, aggie ends up traveling to Athens. My god, the conspiracy theory gold would flow like a river out of Texags.
  18. That puts him within $500k of Leavitt and Allar. I think I'd pay for the premium upgrade all things being equal.
  19. I suppose but it really is the worst possible match up I've seen in all of them. I can't see it happening unless it was a big cash payout which OU could use but... otherwise it's a terrible thing given WHY it's happening. As a Gata fan who out of Tennessee, Auburn and LSU would you prefer. I know Tennessee and Florida are pretty big as far as "rivalries" go. I'd put them 3rd after Kentucky and Vandy (just cause intra state rivals on Vandy)
  20. Why would LSU take a non-rival Auburn over a rival Arkansas? Also, Auburn gets Bama, Georgia and LSU. Enjoy getting slept War Eagle.
  21. The fans of those schools would hate it. Doesn't make sense as a brand, for their fans, or financially.
  22. Tldr: Candy Loving is hot and there is a lot of rich white trash from oil in boondocks of Oklahoma.
  23. I see Aggie wanting LSU, I don't see LSU wanting Aggie they have Arkansas, Ole Miss and Bama as traditional rivals.
  24. Did you miss the OR part where there was a different team? Why the FUCK would OU end up in a "rivalry" match with Florida? They've played twice, ever. They are the furthest away from one another geographically and Florida already has 3 legit rivalries. OU has a history with Aggie from BiG XII, and Arkansas is next door. Likely its Aggie or Arkansas as it makes the most sense historically and logistically. Which means, Texas, Missouri and a&m or Arkansas as the OU games which shifts Arkansas to Texas, LSU, and OU or Missouri. Then again there is the old SWC Arkansas/Aggie tie so.. Missouri is the odd ball that really only has ties to OU, and a bit of an old rivalry with Arkansas. Who wants to play Missouri though? They're never good, but rarely horrible. Beat them you should, lose it's an upset for good teams.
  25. In the SEC you have intra and usually interstate rivalries. Kentucky hates with Louisville, but they definitely have a rivalry with Vandy and Tennessee. Remember, they are all 100% football in the SEC particularly when Kentucky is involved. Though that is, of course the biggest motivation for rivalry. It's not unlike Texas with aggie, Arkansas and most prominent Oklahoma. Sometimes the rivalry is lop sided, but doesn't change the dislike for one another.
