  1. I'd put $10 on 10-1 odds they do. Only because I can afford to lose $10.
  2. I'll add a bit to oxbeaf's question. To the best of my knowledge, anyone can legally purchase ammo reloading equipment and supplies including primers, powder, casings and bullets. I think the re-loaders are still available for purchase at Walmart and Academy. So why this hill? I'm not endorsing these machines nor condemning, just guessing the reality I posted above was something many weren't aware existed.
  3. What the hell makes you sat that?!?!? It is right there on the schedule @Georgia
  4. Copy and paste from the Tell me about Florida thread. Didn't see this one prior to posting. Hmmm, I think they could/will be favored or at least it will be a close line on: Samford aggie @MSU UCF Ole Miss @FSU They get what, on paper, appears to be their toughest games at home save FSU which, yes a rival but I think FSU is going to be a dumpster fire. I think 6-7 wins isn't out of the question, though, I admit neither is 4. I wouldn't bet this line either way, personally. They have some paper tigers on their schedule AND they are pretty bad. Hence, I voted 4-8.

  6. Well, I sort of agree with you, SLX and YGIFS. As I, and many sociol anthropology and current days sociologists see it, it's sort of a combination of all of the above. In a off shoot but related topic, serial killer numbers shot up in the US after the completion of the interstate highway system. We're people serial killing before, most certainly. Was it JUST the interstate, nope, news coverage and cross jurisdictional engagement also occurred at the same time as an ability for serial killers to be far more mobile and heavier traffic cross state. All if that made it easier to "hide" or commit acts further from home. So, were language and racial variations a reason for early man's "war" or violence on others tribes. Absolutely. I want to be careful here as I don't recollect the specifics, but iirc our "pre-current day human ancestors" might have proactively worked to irradicate earlier "verision" of humanity. I actually recall hearing a hypothesis that that might be where a part of "trolls" and other similar creatures originated from in our lore. (Don't hold me too accountable on the specifics, it's Sunday am and I'm on my 1st cup of coffee). Now, given that, or move past agricultural during the industrial revolution, bigger cities in which racial divides/violence were FAR more prevalent, a bigger new cycle, the larger economical reach and ultimately a global economy... the increased violence makes sense in a very ironic way. When you couple all the factors the 3 of you mentioned and cross it with an ever growing large corporate oligarchy globally AND a news feed that is heavily incentived to report "scary" things of all sorts for clicks/viewers etc... well. How do you controll a population as the power structure? How do you do it globally? Use the old tried and true, race, religion and other factors to distract from the real money factors underlying it. Make the plebes fight one another over whatever to keep them from looking up the chain at the real cause. At the same time use these fears to make them focus on one another to try and reduce one anothers freedoms for your own oligarchy aims. Easier to control. A Renaissance Florentine Republic dude wrote about it long ago. If I sound like a conspiracy theorist... well, I guess I am. However, most here and elsewhere largely agree the silent majority in the US is the one never heard over the squeaky wheels of the extremes on either side. ... that's part is NOT a conspiracy I came up with on my own.
  7. I take pics and share stories with my like minded friends. It's like I'm a narrator and rather than get angry about it I become completely amused at the shenanigans. Let me be clear, they anger me by their behavior, but sharing the idiocy in real time is my way of venting and turning it into amusement.
  8. This isn't limited to just Mexico nor US citizens. Argentina and Chile's smaller airports were all about this bullshit. I was helping my mom, who wasn't feeling well and has some physical issues through multiple flights. I'm not ending up in a South American prison, but I sure as fuck had some temptations to find my way to one that trip.
  9. MSP and Charlotte both suck ass for sure. There are worse, but not many.
  10. I'll only speak for myself, but I'm extremely confident that the following is applicable for many Surly posters. I committed far worse sins in my youthful drinking days. FAR worse. Hell, I slept with one with similar (non-lump) afflictions post drinking youth days. I'm not proud of it... but..
  11. It's funny, but in any meeting agenda, large internal corporate or client facing video, the right plan is address the import/interesting items up top and put the secondary/less important items later. That agenda is right in line. Oh while I'm typing, fuck Kirk Bohls.
  12. Exactly, it's not like I'm some prude. We definitely did some shady business one night in the Lubys parking lot.
  13. Don't be so fucking jealous. You had your shot many times at the Hole.. (Or one of many other random music joint where I was shit faced)
  14. Didn't you and I first meet over al pastor tacos at Gueros? Or was is Maudes.. shit, I'm old.
  15. Hmmm... not exactly. It means, generally, you can pretty much fuck anything you want... (no Rapelor, Pedo State or Spartan shit) In this specific case, however, it means he fucked an entire Cult, which I fully support.
  16. Should have stopped for a burger on Kaynig.
  17. Listen to him regarding I40. For a better grasp of I40 imagine similar or greater semi traffic of I35, with a greater number of RVs, and equal number of general idiots. Now imagine it with equally stupid civil engineering and foothills of mountains. Yeah.. on that note fly into Knoxville if you can. The drive from Nashville is far worse than San Antonio to Dallas.
  18. Or California 1970-2000. Bonin, Butts, Miley, DeAngelo, Ramirez, Kraft, Franklin Jr, The Doodler, Manson, Zodiac, Halblower, and Bundy (to name a few) probably got in on the free for all serial killer action. The victims are not completely dissimilar from some of those.
  19. Now for other news, if you want a hotel for the game book it way in advance or do as suggested and get an airbnb cabin. The Smokies are vastly underrated. Be forwarded, parking is a nightmare. Knoxville has one of the best Whiskey bars I've ever been too and that's not the only good one. So good news for Surly folks. Food options are strong too, but lines are a beating. The river tailgating is pretty amazing. The Tshirt vs alumni issue is very real at pretty much every SEC venue save Vandy, where it's pretty much all Alumni. Vanderbilt is gonna be the premium road trip in our new conference, but there are a goodly number of other road trips worth the work and Knoxville is certainly one of them. UK (if you like Whiskey this is a must do road trip), LSU, Georgia, and imo South Carolina are some others. BCS and MSU are hard passes, imo.
  20. Are you old enough to remember the cowbells and Mississippi State? Ever been to an Seminole game? Been to a game at Kansas State with their "good for a wildcat first down" (which occurs sometimes when it isn't)? Been to aggie and dealt with that fucking cult? Visted Fayettenahm with zero cars without damage/dents and meth addled freaks? I live in Tennessee. I know what you're speaking of regarding Rocky Top, and it is a beating for sure. OUsux is.. Next. Fucking. Level of hell with their Boomer Sooner. First down, play it. 2 yard loss, play it. Texas gets 15 yards rushing, play it. 3 yard rush, play it. Fair catch a punt, play it. TV time out, play it. Texas scores a 80 yard touch down, play it after the Longhorn band plays. 6 yard pass, play it. Score a TD, play it. Score a field goal, play it. The wind blows, play it. A cloud passes over, play it.
  21. Was ATM involved or not. There are some very critical details missing for me to um.. come to a conclusion regarding this specific story.
  22. I don't see any flaws, if there's any flaws, in their games. They don't give a darn about that, though. They want to win.
  23. To get back on track, the funniest thing for me about aggie threats to go to B1G is the absolute silence from all parties affiliated with the SEC.
  24. It's a crossover to one of my other favorite thread, Ewers is ranked #3 in the game. #1 makes sense, but # 2 is a great laugh and my favorite football personality took issue with it. (Not in the way you'd think) It's SI so questionable at best
