  1. It's to help OSU look better later in the season after they beat PSU just in case Texas beats OSU. - some aggie probably
  2. Well, looking at just the data from the link I posted above, there is strong merit to suggesting the AP does not like putting Texas at 1. I'm guessing AP puts Texas at 2 or 3 behind OSU and PSU. They LOVE OSU. I honestly wouldn't be completely shocked if a goodly amount put ND in 3rd with Texas 4th. Ohio State is no stranger to the top spot. Alabama is the all-time leader with 129 appearances at No. 1 in the AP poll, followed by Ohio State at No. 2 with 105 appearances. Oklahoma is next at 101, followed by Notre Dame at 98 and USC at 91.
  3. So we are worried about interpretations of Bobby's words on whether or not Sark was running vanilla the first week of practice on purpose. We are not worried about getting in the RZ and scoring zero points. This fucking place.
  4. Right! And you damn well best not miss!!!! Happy to help!
  5. Is Sark playing vanilla on purpose in the first week of summer practice with a QB that has 2 starts, a younger OL, some new WRs, and TEs. Yes, yes he is doing exactly that on purpose. Call me BurntBobby.
  6. Fair, but doesn't change my reaction to getting in the RZ then missing a 10 year field goal attempt.
  7. This. Which, based on your posting history, I assume is sarcasm. Not sure why people are panty twisting on this one. In other shocking news, the NFL played mostly scrubs in their preseason games.
  8. I suspect this thread will go on for a while when Arch starts Arching. A lot of folks still wonder why Arch didn’t get the nod at Georgia 1 for the rest of the year. It's remains a valid question.
  9. the No. 1 offense got the ball to the 10 before settling for a field-goal attempt that was missed by Will Stone
  10. Poor Stanford, clearly struggling to make ends meet. I'm sure Donahoe and Luck are working pro-bono to reduce other staffing cuts. Stanford is a $9.7 billion enterprise. Stanford Has No Money per Stanford
  11. Though clearly written in jest, I KNOW it still triggered @Magus Ossis
  12. Clearly we are. Seems.... familiar some how... I agree with 2 drops. 2 catches in the air in a dangerous space offset those a bit IMO.
  13. I didn't find 1 vs 2 AP I also didn't find all time vs AP #1, but I found the following. The link below is a Buckeye production so appropriate amounts of salt. It's from 2020 so I did a little digging post. There may be errors in my homework. 247Sport Ohio State So in 2020 OSU #3 was 5-9 before facing Bama. Obviously 5-10 after. 2022 #4 OSU lost to then #1 Georgia in the Peach Bowl to drop to 5-11. 2023 #7 OSU lost to #1 Michigan for 5-12 2024 #6 OSU lost to Oregon. So.. 5-13 all time vs #1 I used Google search and made assumptions rankings were AP so.. your mileage may very. I admit the underlined was surprising to me. I'm sure aggie would never believe such propaganda with the BOMC and all.
  14. You just don't find the two way athletes that often.
  15. Yeah Charlie Brown's is definitely on the dive bar side for sure. Those tend to have way less opposing fans on game days and usually are more amenable, but I'm just looking/fishing options. Bear and Butcher is really good food, will be packed. I'm absolutely good with that as a lunch option. Went ahead and reserved a table for 10 at 12 downstairs as was the largest I could book. We will see how The Public House responds. I think it is large enough and menu looks legit, so does beer selection. (I don't drink anymore but used to) We can save Charlie Brown's as a before/after lunch either way. I'll just repeat that it will be me and one buddy (not named Inka) and we're flexible. Whatever way the group leans is cool with me.
  16. Based on the title, I was thinking this was the Cowboys thread. In retrospect it isn't the Preseason thread of DOOM. My bad.
  17. Further update. Charlie Brown's has been most engaged. I've just asked for tables for 20 people at 11 am-3 with a note that people will likely filter in over time. I also reached out to: Agave and Rye - No response The Melodeon - bar doesn't open until 3, no TVs in outside area. Ethereal Brewing Public House - no response will ask for similar to Charlie Brown's if they do. This remains mostly likely place for me either way.
  18. Now I want bangers and mash. Fuck you!
  19. I personally just wish that aggie had Cougar High on it's schedule this year. My god, the potential.. I can still dream of a GT or Houston bowl game for aggie. I am pretty confident one of the three is going to actually be a really good team and it isn't one from Texas. Neither of which are getting in the CFP.
  20. I absolutely agree and I'm in strong support of both aspects. Finding athletes with a good moral compass and continued support of said compass after leaving that support system is what I'm endorsing.
  21. Well, I don't hold out much hope for the rest of the SEC or college football in general, but I really hope Chris and Sark have a life skills and finance management team on staff. Not for just illegal stuff but simple shit like don't invest in crypto, the internet is forever, some "friends" are bad news, there is always a camera running, street racing is not cool, drugs are bad mmmkay, and drunk women can't consent. I think that covers about 95% of college athlete's issues. Sadly, I feel compelled to add don't beat women. I'll call that Lawrence Phillips clause.
  22. Are you trying to tell me you wouldn't have preferred Meat Pimp to Patterson? but to get us back on track, we are also rans when it comes to horrible athletic department choices next to aggie just like their football team. I'll see myself out, thank you.
  23. I'm really don't want to be perceived as defending aggie, but sadly they don't hold the all the patents on bad decisions. Sure, they are the kings of shitty choices but...
  24. The aggie record against decent teams at home would make that substantially harder to argue.
  25. It wasn't just his playing that caused concerns. In fact, it was his attitude and off field behavior that likely were the major factors in him dropping so low.
