  1. That's going to be the major issue. That and the weight of the old cars are going to be the issue. You'll need a lot of power to make a 1968 Camaro or even more so for the vans pictured above. That means a lot of battery. Oh.. and while I was surfing cars I concluded that for $80k I could buy a Nissan Leaf AND a Ford Ranger Raptor/Toyota Tacoma TRD/Chevy Colorado ZR2. And if you're super worried about the environment, the Ford Maverick Hybrid (despite lotsa recall issues) is a more capable "truck" for sub $50k. So... a fully functional electric and a vehicle that can legitimately off road which is faster than you ever need to go, legally. Not only that, but any option is car wash safe. I know where I'd put my money.
  2. Eh.. it's certainly possible to find the 50K lightening but doesnt appear common. You're likely going to have to go outside to Texas market where all trucks get a premium. I found 137 new ones sub 50k nationally on cars.com Though the Rivians new are largely over 70k
  3. Hah.. well, I own a Z4 and plan to LS swap it when I have the cash to do so. There are companies that make entire mounting/transmission kits to do so. I do, however, openly acknowledge it's fucking stupid and financially pretty dumb when, for the about same cost, I could go out and buy a new Supra/Z4 that would out perform in in nearly every category aside from HP.
  4. The science is already in and well established. With the extremely rare (sub 3% in most the data I've found) humans can't multitask. In fact, attempting to do so consitently can decrease congnative ability. In other words, multitasking makes you dumber over time. There's a lot of data that supports this conclusion and below is the first link I found from 2021. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/science-clear-multitasking-doesnt-work
  5. My point, sir, is that she might sadly end up doing things far more questionable for not too much more. And most of these folks would struggle to find India on a map.
  6. Umm... okay. I'm not saying you're wrong but...
  7. My honest first thought upon seeing this video is true concern for this young lady's future and safety. There are a lot of predators out there and this is like a bat signal to them as someone who is likely very easy to groom. She's attractive and clearly emotionally unstable and expressed a separation between herself and any support structures/family. I really hope, for her, it's just an act and those are alligator tears, but I don't think they are and that really does worry me.
  8. I knew and went to all these places not infrequently. I am guessing that makes me an old too... not that I wasn't aware but... I do wonder if some of us shoulder checked one another from time to time.
  9. Pretty sure mine has figured out: "He likes smoking hot 30 somethings, but they don't like him. Feed his info to the 60+ full bodied women feed, they're fans of his."
  10. Yes, that available data being your "likes", "connections" and follow up "would you date them again" data to narrow the selection pool of candidates.
  11. It should not be a revelation to anyone that Greta was groomed by her parents, likely since childhood, to be a mouth piece for their ideologies. Her parents aren't the only ones.
  12. And money. I'd love to know the budget and then compare that to a series of lower budget indy films at Sundance, SWSX or Nice Intentional. Wager that for 10× the money the product is significantly worse. Enshittification indeed
  13. "No... wait don't go!" Based on that trailer and dialog alone, I'd have no interest if Cillian Murphy and Emma Stone were the leads and it was directed by James Cameron.
  14. Is this guy from Brazil, cause that tracks.
  15. This plus what Brisket just said is the crux of the bigger issue and what really needs to be the focus. They should be addressed, absolutely by the US. How, exactly, is a interpretation of international diplomatic relations. I don't claim to have that answer, but this is what I personally would make the focus of a protest. "Why the ghosting, let's talk this through Isreal!" - USA
  16. I don't think they are, and I think most agree with that sentiment. However, I hope you will agree, that there is absolutely a pro-Hamas contingency among all these protests. Further, that they have been allowed to intertwine themselves or at least align with other's efforts, calls into question the planning and intent of those who aren't antisemitic. Beyond that, the goals of the folks that aren't antisemitic are, at best muddy. What do they hope to achieve? I made the point a while back that if you lead a protest it should be well organized and with clear goals. Further, you should make efforts to separate yourself from bad actors. Without all three, the message becomes muddled at best, takes away from the issues at hand, gives a massive platform for bad actors (in this case antisemitic murdering assholes) and ultimately does more harm than good.
  17. Honestly, the complexity of descaling the engagement while figuring out how to remove Hamas from the equation is madly complex. I won't pretend that I have a simple answer. However, I'm of the opinion that bringing leader of the US, supporting NATO members, Isreal and the Palestinians together to discuss is better than not discussing it at all. The Hamas aspect is the biggest hitch in the path forward. I'm strongly convinced that descaling fighting without finding a way to remove their influence in Gaza will lead to continued attacks and more Israeli lives lost. So, I guess my ask is why aren't the powers that be calling for some sort of round table. If they are, and I missed it, I'll own my ignorance.
  18. Ack!!! I hate this post because it says pretty much exactly what I feel far better than I could have expressed it. Your oppression of my opinion by superior expression will not stand man!!! As a libertarian leaner, I liked what the Tea Party represented at the start. Then it was co-oped by right wing agenda including but not limited to Q-anon and religious funding. I take massive issue with the reality that the US has largely become a Oligarchy to a select few corporations and billionaires. That said, I like money, have worked for some of these corporations and I'm currently in the middle of starting my own. Don't tread on me bro! Speaking of, fuck you for stealing a great flag and motto as a replacement for the south will rise again. Dammit. So I broadly speaking agreed with the sentiment of Occupy, but it turned into a shit show of communist silly shit. Same with BLM, a noble cause I was behind until it was also co-opted with an agenda that included some antisemitic ideas and a bad plan that truly caused issues in a lot of places. Now I lean heavily toward the Israeli side, admittedly. However, as I've noted before I thought the reaction to Oct and Hamas was extreme. There had to be a reaction but not one to the lengths extended. So, I like the idea, broadly speaking of engaging in awareness of this issue. However, it's been co-opted by Hamas loving antisemitic shit fingers or idiots with no actual plan at all. And in the end, important issues, which truly need addressing, get swept away by the tide of stupidity.
  19. The reality is, they are supporters of hummus. Something got lost in translation. On a serious note, I really would a agnostic investigative reporter to ask females at these protests there impressions of Hamas and "Do you know their stance on women's rights? Do you know their stance on religious rights?". I am willing to wager, based on various videos I've seen that if they are willing to answer it is not very accurate.
  20. We're on a hunger strike, but nobody is worried about us being hungry. We are hungry during out hunger strike and it might not be healthy. Won't anyone think of the chicken?
  21. Couple of things here. First, But if that happens, arrest them and reveal their identity at that point. This is way easier said than done. Protests are typically large groups, and the larger they get the greater the chance for criminal activity. Beyond that, when the start to grow beyond a given area and start to expand (BLM or Occupy) there are people all over the place. Even IF they are not huge and spread out, they can easily scatter when the police show up, if they are even around by the time the police arrive. They usually aren't. Going with the angle of let of where masks until a crime is committed glosses over the reality of the situation. It's a nice tidy little idea, but it just doesn't work. As far as your children or grand children go, anyone can get on the slippery slope of for the children. I could come up with a complete list of why we should abolish the entire Bill of Rights, "for the children". It's quiet possible future generations will face dangers given laws at they sit today, in fact, it's nearly guaranteed. However, we can not govern the country based on those fears alone, be they legitimate or propaganda. It often leads to terrible laws and usurpation of rights. Sometimes, and frankly more time than not, in the extreme. Want clear proof? War on Drugs and Patriot Act.
  22. Having lived 10 years in Chicago 8 drinking 2 sober... If you want to scare a child regarding the dangers of booze drag them to Chicago for the week leading up to St Pats. I've been to a lot of massive party moments/places over the course of my life. Vegas and NYC on NYE for example. In my experience, nothing tops Chicago during St Pats for city wide abuse of alcohol.
  23. Ftfy Among the other misleading aspects of that video was the name of the robot. I've adjusted appropriately. It also had 2 voice responses: "You are being deceived" and "Peace through tyranny", which, if my not mistaken, are Tesla's corporate mottos.
