  1. https://www.outsideonline.com/adventure-travel/destinations/north-america/pandemic-move-new-york-reno/ I stand corrected. There are exactly 2 people I've heard of in this world that wanted to move to Reno. Meet Eve Peyser. Because obligatory tree shot was discovered with Google: Reno image search.
  2. I have read and heard a lot of bullshit in my life. I've met a lot of people from a lot of different walks of life. One of them was even born and raised in Reno. What I've never heard or read, from anyone, be it fiction or real life, is a dream "to live in Reno". Never. Not even close. Hell, I've never met anyone who wanted to move to Reno, not even the guy who grew up there and left it. I'm sure there are people who want to move to Reno, for reason i don't care to know, but they've never crossed my circle.
  3. My cousin has a GNX well appointed and properly modified for optimal performance enhancement without devaluation of the vehicle regarding rarity. I love him, but hate him too.
  4. He'll be very well received in prison, and a well loved receiver. A 5 star rating I'm sure.
  5. So I can't tell if this was a response to my car nerd rambling or and extremely apt and astute catch of my typo. It was a 3.8 liter turbo.. not 3.6. Because I'm nerding out again why not add fuel to the fire. https://www.americanmusclecarmuseum.com/buick-vehicles/137-1987-buick-grand-national-regal-gnx.html
  6. It didn't dude. At all. It made them more laughable. It certainly didn't help them sell other cars in their lineup at a higher price.
  7. The GEO line was a cross work with Japanese companies to make GM marginally engaged in that market, it failed. The Saturn was an attempt at a "New Start" for GM post the 80s absolute debacle by GM and frankly every US automotive company. That the Buick Grand National is the penultimate vehicle of the US 80s with the GM 454 SS truck and arguably the Typhoon (both early 90s) being the only vehicles worth note in that entire era tells the story. Edit - Ford Escort RS should be added in here so should SVT Mustang. Keep in mind VW was doing the GT, Nissan was doing the Z, Honda had the NSX and Civic S, Toyota was doing the Supra and MR2 during the same period. All of those are iconic in car world lore. The US had a bad ass 3.6 liter turbo charged 2 door sedan and SUV and a rear wheel drive truck.
  8. Oh man, I'm not gonna dismiss Austin, but I feel confident Bear Schlong will back me up in saying, there is a lot of crazy everywhere. That said, I know some of my family felt bad about giving me the cold shoulder at some point. I can only hope some friends I lost did too. When I say hope they felt bad, let me be clear, that's me hoping I can still or have to some degree redeemed myself. I hope those I lost will forgive me if I get a chance to apologize. I hope I didn't cause them too much pain. Basically, "I hope they felt bad" should really be, I feel bad for having run them off. I hope they'll forgive me. That's me rambling late after driving too many hours and recently becoming unemployed but still happy to be alive and sober for over 10 years. If it's poorly worded, I apologize. Saw a good friend today, seeing family and friends this weekend. Love this world, love my life.
  9. What kind of backwoods regard puts a city not a department of transport or I dunno, some traffic oriented government entity in charge of traffic light patterns. :::check thread title::: Forget i asked It's fixed, case closed
  10. Sir, I think you missed the fact that Cybertruck has the rare and amazing "Enable free roll" feature which is very hard to find these days.
  11. Are your children willing to testify to that fact? Are you in cahoots with Nicole, a side piece assistant while she's allegedly in Atlanta? Before you answer, know that I don't believe you. When was the last time you ate Chilean Sea Bass?
  12. But it's a great idea for those looking to live off a disability and massive legal settlement. Can't see a downside other than maybe being forced to "shoot" off hand for the rest of your life.
  13. Yeah, it wasn't rodents that consumed that weed.
  14. That already exists. They're currently call Tesla owners, which isn't a great business model.
  15. Hey man, maybe his BIL is pimptastic and buff. You don't know, and it's no nice of you to assume he isn't.
  16. Yeah while it's amusing in one regard, QA issues are already a concern among the Tesla lineup. Reducing the employees from a problem area is not likely to help the problem area unless of course they are replacing them with better folks... which I'm pretty sure they aren't.
  17. This was my basic assumption given my limited knowledge. They also want to track website/app behavior as I have a family member who lives in that world. Of course, banking entities aren't the only ones.
  18. I like Proton and use it on my PC and Phone. The app connects quickly and they also have a email service. It's HQed in Switzerland and the ownership is not afraid of giving certain entities the middle finger regarding, um.. pron browsing history.
  19. That's what I use. The pay to play version. It's fast, but there are a goodly number of web pages that kick back when in use. Banking is one of them. I've found if I switch to a US first link it works or short term turn it off. Happy to learn of work arounds others might know for this issue, since this now seems to be the VPN thread.
  20. You're hoping you can get our entire state, local and federal government workers committed aren't you?!? You might want to start with the Greeks or Italians. Low hangin' fruit if you will.
