  1. It's also 100% true that had our special teams played better Texas wins this game. It's also 100% true that options were ignored by our head coach that could have helped Texas win the game. So... I think it fair that we question the ability of our head coach and hope he alters some things in his game plan.
  2. Ftfy I'm not a super liberal or anything but if you're going to go gender neutral on a person, actually do it correctly.
  3. I also agree with this take. Which is why I provided the OR in my last comment. I accept and acknowledge Quinn isn't the player who can carry the team and WIN the big game. I accepted it some time ago. My issue isn't with fans that think he should be, nor fans that perceive him to be so. My issue is, primarily with a head coach who hasn't or won't accept that Quinn isn't. The same coach who decided not to make a change, for a LOT of reasons I already covered. I get it, this bed is made. However, that the QB whispering, offensive genius hasn't made accommodations and changes to the offensive game plan is frustrating. In particular, not using a tool, a VERY impressive one, in that adjustment is my true issue. That is NOT on Quinn. It is on SARK. While the bed is made, Sark did and still does have the option of grabbing the warm blanket on the night stand and making us all more comfortable. If he doesn’t, it will reflect very poorly on him in my eyes and the eyes of MANY. That hurts Texas Football, my university's team, in more ways than just a run at a title this year. JUST a run at a title. That's shit I will never be quiet about here or anywhere.
  4. I turned to the Georgia fan next to me and said, "That was a brilliant PI".
  5. I agree with this as well. I would add that it's not unreasonable to want and maybe even expect a highly touted recruit, who is a 3 year starter at the University of Texas and makes millions in NIL to WIN championship games. Or.. at least have a coach that recognizes that QB's struggles in the redzone during GAMES and plays the much more mobile back up QB who is equally touted and NIL compensated more frequently. These seem reasonable to me. But I'm regarded and crazy I guess.
  6. A brilliantly insane play caller?? Who did the team a disservice by not running some Arch packages in the RZ? And yes, Quinn is who he is, and he isn't good in the redzone against a good to decent defense. And I never have suggested Sark should have pulled him in this game. Rather than without a LOT more of Arch in the redzone our issues will continue. At that's been the general sentiment by most. But you can't keep completely giving Quinn a solid pass. It's crazy talk.
  7. Where on this thread has anyone said Quinn is 100% responsible for the loss? Where on this page have you attributed even 1% of this loss to Quinn?
  8. Well, how did Ewers do in OT, that's right, BERT scored all our points. So both a one armed INT monkey and our kicker out performed our QB. Interesting.
  9. Did Quinn throw an INT in the redzone during Georgia2? Did he take a huge sack to push a field goal attempt beyond the 50 in Georgia2? Did he miss some open receivers in for easy TDs in Georgia2? Yes? Then he's at LEAST partially responsible right? I mean at least a little bit right? A modicum? A tiny wafer thin mint worth of responsibility? No? None? Zero? Well, fuck... you're right. QBs don't lose games ever, teams do and the QB and HC are never responsible. I've learned something new today.
  10. Not putting some responsibility for the loss in a championship game on the QB where a team scored 1 TD in 7 trips is just insane. It's fucking crazy talk. Saying it was everyone BUT the QBs fault goes beyond fanboi crazy. It's just fucking regarded, and you know it.
  11. Just because you don't remember doesn't mean it didn't happen. Edit - but you do bring up a good point. Sark 0 - Deboer 2 Sark 0 - Smart 2
  12. Georgia prevented us from getting in the end zone 7 out of 8 times in the redzone. I would say they had something to do with it. Bert and 10 other guys - 5 out of 7 Quinn and 10 other guys- 0 out of 7 Who performed better?
  13. And if we want to do redzone performance blame game... Bert- 5 out of 7 Quinn- 0 out of 7 Who performed better?
  14. Pulling the aggie luck card??? You're better than that dude.
  15. Nobody is asking him to be perfect, but when the entire fucking world sees his issues, maybe it's actually a problem. Yes, field goals are acceptable, but kicking field goals on 7 trips to the red zone sure as fuck isn't for a team that wants to win a championship, or for any team that wants to win a game. And we fucking didn’t.
  16. How many field goals tries were there in total? 7. Were we in the redzone all 7 times? Yes. Are field goals the preferred outcome in the redzone? No. Did we try and use our mobile QB in the redzone? No. Did one of them get longer due to QB performance? Yes. So, either you'd rather trust the outcome of a conference championship game to a kicker, or you can acknowledge that our QB didn't perform great in the redzone and neither did our HC. Are there others to blame, sure. But riddle me this, who, on any football team are the 2 most important people?
  17. Heheh... Michigan fans are the closest facsimile of Texas fans I've ever met. Does beating OSU help, absolutely. Does getting beat by Bama enrage the Michigan fans.. would it enrage Texas fans. Does Moore have a wiggle room, yes. Would getting beat, or worse beat badly by Bama decrease the good will.. Yes. Yes it fucking would. As a tshirt Michigan fan and a Longhorn.. Well... that's my take.
  18. I don't know how many times it's be rewashed, but have a non-mobile QB causes substantial issues in the running game with good defensive teams. Georgia1 and Georgia2 out front should have told you. Now to your videos, how many were in the redzone? What area have I and others been specifically pointing out as the problem area. How many TDs did we score in the redzone vs Georgia2? Are there other areas that need work, yes. Have I denied that at any point, no. Have I also pointed it out multiple times on this very page, yes. Have you, at any point, acknowledged that Quinn has some issue? Not in this post. Are you willing to acknowledge Quinn had some major issues in the redzone? I'm doubtful. Are you willing to admit using Arch much more frequently in the redzone against Georgia could have potentially increased our odds of scoring? I'm doubtful. Is this a binary Quinn only issue? No. Is our lack of success in redzone against Georgia and other teams during the season something that should be addressed by our HC? Absolutely. Is Arch the answer? Sadly, we don't know but MAYBE. Should we know the answer? Absolutely! Is Quinn the answer? No is the clear correct response.
  19. And Arch could have a lot more too, but that time passed. Arch could STILL have playoff snap experience. You know... for next year.
  20. Life isn't fair and we aren't asking Arch to carry the team. We're asking for our dumb ass head coach to USE him as a part of the offensive scheme. Not A (one single) play, but in the red zone USE the tools you have. Or don't and suffer the consequences.
