  1. Dude, my post about opposing fans recognizing Arch is better was real. Let that sink in, Georgia fans, asking ME, post the SEC championship when we were going to start Arch. Some of us don't need a year to recognize who the better player is and some of us aren't asking Arch to start. What we are asking for is that our head coach pull his head out of is asshole and use Arch more frequently in the redzone. Use the tools available, and stop being so god damn cute/smart.
  2. But if we're running Arch in the redzone frequently there is a real possibility that we don't need the field goals and don't got to OT. Sure, there is blame that can go elsewhere, in the end not using a great tool at QB more frequently, is one failure by Sark. Are there other areas that need improvement, absolutely. There was a great post (maybe by you) about this teams lack of attention to detail. That's also an HC issue. So is our shittastic ST play. While there are other aspects beyond JUST the shit performance of Quinn in the redzone in this game (and others) and the lack of using Arch where Sark failed, this is the Ewers thread so I'm focused on that aspect here.
  3. But he didn't, and we didn't. In this game, Georgia1 nor the Sugar Bowl. We don't need "hero ball" from a QB, we need one who can execute in the red zone against good defensive teams. Putting in a mobile QB to offset the Georgia advantages on D, in the redzone, where Quinn was struggling greatly, perhaps does. We have evidence supporting, a lot of it, that leaving him in, hasn't and won't. Sark has to pull his head out of his ass, stop being cute and smart and use the tools at his disposal.
  4. This is a great post and highlights something that seems to be missed by a lot of folks in this thread (on both sides). Football is a game of match ups. A great HC should be aware of this reality and so should informed fans. Suggestions that a particular player at QB has issues and that the HC should recognize that reality isn't binary. I said months ago that Sark made the Ewers bed post Georgia1. That not switching to Arch then was a season long commitment by the HC, whether I agreed with it or not. I also clarified WHY I thought Sark made that choice, whether or not I agreed with it, I did understand. So, I acknowledged then and do now that Ewers is going to remain the starter. However, I do question why our HC would NOT use an amazing tool in his war chest for the SEC Title game. Particularly, when it was clear that the starting QB was struggling in the red zone. A great HC makes the call, other factors be dammed, to win the game in front of them. The game you're playing and victory therein is the most important factor. Not draft status, not NIL, not pressure from outside sources, not concern about players feelings, but winning the game. I also recognize that in today's portal world and NIL the Saban type choices are becoming a bit antiquated. However, had Sark made a choice to play Arch more, particularly in the redzone where Quinn and the offense was struggling badly, and we win, the players aren't crying in the locker room. Even better, every team we face now has a bigger scheming issue in the playoffs. It's not binary. Too many here see it as such. Use the tools at hand, when needed, to win the game at hand, as needed. That's what a championship caliber HC does, and Sark didn’t this weekend nor in Georgia1. Yes, it's a Quinn and Sark issue.
  5. I don't think you or @Rockethorn1978 are incorrect in your predictions. However, as both these coaches are in their 1st year and have vastly underperformed relative to their predecessors I think this game is different. These are two helmet schools of the highest level. The pressure on these HCs after this year's performance doesn't get any higher. I'm not saying there won't be players that opt out. However, were I the HC I'd let it be known they are welcome to opt out and enter the draft or portal, no harm no hate. However, they better do 1 of the 2 as they won't be playing "here" next year. Just my thought and I firmly believe that the fans bases of both would back the coach. But wtf do I know.
  6. How did Ewers perform in the redzone against Georgia1 and Georgia2? Could it possibly be that it's a reflection on the HC for chosing to start and continued use of a player that has performed poorly and for the execution by said player? Are both being a factor impossible?
  7. And one of the two was actually denied another by... in one of the best college football games of all time.
  8. Dude... fucking spoiler that shit next time or choose different words. It's triggering to think of someone sneezing when a bunch of tasty lines have been laid out. Asshole!
  9. Ftfy Turdition is turdition. Aggies love their turditions.
  10. Lulz, how many TDs did we score in the red zone yesterday? What was out success rate in the red zone yesterday? You refuse to put any responsibility on the loss on our QB. You never will despite whatever evidence is presented. You write shit that's just not true. Fabrication is the word. That's not changing and neither is Quinn's ability. So.. I've come to an end of this round and round with you, but I'm sure you'll need, very badly need the last word. So... you can have it.
  11. Shadeur as the starter, Beck for backup as second pic, Deion as Head and QB coach. It will work out fantastic.
  12. Jerry is gonna take the INT monkey Beck mostly because he's a die hard Pig deep at heart.
  13. His technique and throwing motion, lack of mobility, lack of speed, lack of evasiveness, and fragile nature is all physical. (Well the fragile nature is both)
  14. Asking one man to not throw interception in the red zone is reasonable. Our oline didn't make the poor throw. A millionaire NIL 3 year starter QB did. Also, asking for a QB who can evade a sack and scramble for a few yards occasionally is also reasonable. Wanting a QB who has pocket awareness and can read a blitz is also reasonable. Wanting a QB who can move the pocket and hit an open WR is also reasonable.
  15. Last night was for a bye IN the playoffs.. but you're just being a contray ass.
  16. Nobody has at any point asked for him to be superman. Asking a 3rd year starting QB, who was a top QB prospect and makes millions in NIL while playing for Texas with its best D in decades to score TDs (or at least not turn the ball over) in the red zone is... REASONABLE!
  17. Agreed. He dabbles, occasionally and for limited duration, in adjustments. Then he goes right back to being "fancy".
  18. Sark won't adjust. He didn't adjust for Georgia's game plan. He won't adjust when his script isn't working. He will adjust to a QB with limitations, but only because he already put down his foot saying he was the starter. He won't adjust for a D with certain match up advantages due to commitments/choices/decisions he's already made.
  19. Didja watch the second half? Didja watch Georgia1? We lost to backup QB with limited snaps and a 1 armed INT monkey.
  20. You know, way back when I started a chant in the stadium (I have a witness and it can be heard on TV) of "free James Brown". I was at the UCLA in Pasadena when Major first started. I watched him get absolutely clobbered during a pass, pick his head up off the ground to see if he completed his pass. I became a fan. VY.. well, was VY, and it was obvious from the start. In the USC championship game prior to the final drive I turned to my friends and with absolute confidence told them "We got this." Then before the final play, "We're going to score." Colt had a drive that was so clear, and a heart so big it seemed like you could feel it in the stands. Sam fucking went. Sam went really, really hard. I've never felt any of those feeling about Quinn. I've never felt comfortable with Quinn in a tight game. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to fall. Last night after the game I get in the elevator with two late 20s Georgia fans (and their hot ass GF). They were clearly stoned, but actually cool. Georgia Guy 1: Man, that was a helluva game. Maybe we'll see you again in the playoffs. Me: Yeah man, it was a crazy game. Georgia Guy 2: I just gotta ask, when are you guys gonna get a clue and just start Manning? Me: Don't get me started. Hot ass girlfriend: Hey I want to dump my guy and go to your room instead. Me: Let's go. (66% of this conversation actually happened)
  21. You mean like both games against Georgia? One of which was for a conference championship and bye week in the CFP? I'm on your team, but I'm losing faith in Sarks ability to make the hard calls.
  22. I agree with most of what you're saying. However, I don't think we needed a hero quarterback *last night. I think we need a QB that had the ability to run some and more frequently throw accurate non-loft long balls. If only we knew where to find one. Our D kept us in the game, but Kirby out coached Sark primarily based on Sark's habits and Quinn’s weaknesses. Quality Ds and coaching staffs will be able to do the same. Quinn is a good college quarter back. I'm still smoking hopium Sark alters his mindset and plays Arch more, and Quinn doesn't Quinn it up in the playoffs... but I'm pretty sure I'll need to mainline some copium before the season is over. Still have my national championship ticket...
  23. I'm tired, I thought you were arguing with me. Read your post 3 times before I started laughing. Put it on the wall. I'm going to bed, fuck this dumb shit.
