  1. Sounds like a great event! Thanks for your time and involvement! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks for the post. All of it, but especially this part. I think the greatest gift Ben has given us so far is that we truly appreciate all the little things he learns and the new skills he picks up; stuff we took for granted with the first three kiddos. Little man has figured out how to give kisses, and I will say there is literally nothing better right now than when he plants a big one on me. This happened the other day: I had all the kids at home on a Saturday while my wife was out running some errands and getting out of the house by herself for a bit. I left Ben in his room to play and it got really quiet. I went to check on him and saw this: His big brother had gone into the room and was reading him a book. Normally, big bro doesn’t have a lot to do with the little guy. I can’t tell you how proud I was at that moment of my kids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I saw that the other day. What a cool moment!!! “I got this!” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. He’s outgrown those, but they are highly recommended for anyone who has kids 9 months and under. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thought I’d throw out an update for those who are interested: Ben’s now a little over 19 months. He. Is. A. Bad. Ass. He’s been attending a Mother’s Day Out program at a local church, and the ladies that manage the room love him. Unfortunately, he’s very susceptible to respiratory infections and has been through the RSV crap a few times. We’ve been pretty lucky so far with only one hospitalization over the last year. We’ve had to put him on oxygen at home at night probably 4 times over the last year (about a week on O2 for each instance). It’s a hell of a process, and usually involves duct tape so he can’t pull the nasal cannula out while he’s sleeping. The main reason for the tape is to keep him from bending his arms so he can’t reach his face. Very thankful for the NICU nurse that gave us the pro tip. The coolest thing is that Ben is now starting to sign a bunch. He’s got a few of them down pat, which is awesome. He’s also starting to talk a little bit. Last week I got in the car to go to lunch with my wife and Ben, who was in the back seat. I got in and totally got an excited “DADDA!” Unfortunately, my wife was chopping onions in the car for some damn reason... Ben’s still doing physical therapy every week. He isn’t crawling or walking yet, but damn if the kid can’t butt scoot around with the best of them. He’s also doing a great job of feeding himself and is doing great with his cup and drinking. So far we’ve continued to be very blessed with his health, with no significant health issues. I am continually amazed by the kindness of strangers we run into. Ben waves at just about everyone who makes eye contact, and it’s amazing how many people wave back and stop and coo at him. So, still a lot to figure out in the long run, but things are going fantastically well, and I’m so proud of our little guy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. As a former Spur, I’m loving how involved Bevo is. As someone who manages risk on a daily basis, this is terrifyingly awesome. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. “You used up all the glue ON PURPOSE!” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. That one was terrible, I agree. But he’s left on an island more than anyone else on our team, and does a decent job of knowing when he’s beat and when to commit the penalty. He also knocked a ball away from #5 that was a sure TD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Boyd was flagged a bunch, but IMHO those were saved touchdowns and we’ll earned. Rather take the 15 and live to fight another day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have the A400 in 20 ga. It's a great gun and I've had no issues with it at all. Great little dove gun.
  11. As a parent of someone with Trisomy 21, fuck you for implying my son would be associated with aggy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. As a follow up to my post about an antelope gun, I ended up getting a Remington 700 in 6.5 Creedmore and threw a Nightforce SHV 4-14 50mm on it. Sighted it in and was able to hit a 12" plate at 700m 3/3 times. Was only 1/4 at 1000m. Ended up taking my antelope at 435m. It's a shooter! Thanks for the recommendations.
  13. Thanks for all the info. I really like the Excursion, it's fun to mess with. That being said, I don't have time to do the work myself, and would just hire it out. The other option would be to drive the F250 up to OK and get this dude to go to work on it: http://www.customautosbytim.com/index.html
  14. Antelope. Any thoughts on Weatherby's? Specifically the Mark V Arroyo series. Still well made?
  15. I like that platform, I think it might be a bit heavy for crawling around NM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thanks for the response. Are head studs necessary if it’s not going to be chipped? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks for the replies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Any other platforms other than the Ruger that come highly recommended? My budget is around $3k for rifle & scope. I’ve handled the Ruger and am not a huge fan of the stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Tell me about the 6.0 liter Powerstroke (2005).... Bought an Excursion back in December to haul kids/gear around last November. I’ve put about 8k miles on it since, mostly road trips. I’m looking to bulletproof it as I can’t take my eyes off the EOT/ECT temps whenever I’m on a road trip and want to be confident that it won’t break down 500 miles from home with my family having to miss out on a vacation. Right now it’s my daily driver, but I have a 2014 F250 in the garage as a back up, so putting the Excursion in the shop for a few weeks isn’t an issue. Has anyone done work on their 6L? If so, what are the most important components to beef up? I plan on keeping the rig for a long rime and don’t mind putting money into it so I don’t have to worry about blowing an oil cooler at an inopportune time. Thanks in advance. 20. Headed to a NM antelope hunt in a few weeks and need some recommendations on a bolt action, light weight rifle. I have a 30-06 I can use but looking for something in 6.5. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  21. They're getting healthy. The reason for the dramatic uptick is their announcement that they're converting to a corporation and leaving the MLP structure behind.
  22. Just picked up one of these: The Link Basically it's a 10/22 receiver modified with a biathlon style bolt action. It should be extremely quiet with a supressor and .22 subsonics. Can't wait to take it for a spin.
  23. Saw Isbell on Monday night. Great show and a fantastic talent. The live version of Cover Me Up was incredible.
  24. 4. OPEC has a huge unfunded liability problem (not unlike the US, but much less diversification) and needs higher oil prices to support an unproductive populace to remain in power. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
