  1. Wasn’t a big fan of Phoebe when I was in college but think she’s funny when watching reruns now. I also didn’t care much for Joey at the time but I thought Leblanc was great in the reunion and I look at Joey differently now and appreciate him. Seems like Leblanc was down to earth and could appreciate what Friends did for him.
  2. I don’t know who the chick was in that State Farm commercial was but she was a really shitty actress
  3. Jeez- between this and the flight attendant getting her teeth knocked out, SWA is turning into Spirit Airlines.
  4. I don’t think Luka is going to tolerate this attitude the way Dirk did. If Cuban doesn’t show a commitment to winning a championship, he’ll be outta here at his first chance, probably looking to collaborate with another superstar for a championship. It’ll be really interesting to see what happens with Carlisle if they end up losing the series after being up 2-0. Luka did all he could to win last night. If the rest of the team doesn’t step up to help him, I think you can put that on Rick and will be looking for a new coach.
  5. You do Volcanoes National Park? We’re going in July. Nervous about our rental car reservation. We’re staying in Kona but going to drive to Hilo for one night and stay at the Volcano House in the park.
  6. The Bush library in Dallas actually has a really good 9/11 exhibit. From what I can recall- the 9/11 memorial in NYC was a moving tribute to the victims but the Bush library seemed to have more artifacts. Agree that the Art Institute in Chicago is the best art museum in the country followed by the MoMA. Always enjoy the artifacts in the British Museum and Louvre, can’t wait to go back. The Met was a little disappointing after visiting the other two. Also agree that the Holocaust Museum in DC was such an emotionally exhausting day.
  7. Terrible movie. I’m glad I didn’t pay to see it in the theater.
  8. I really like the chemistry between Winslet and Smart. They’re great on screen together.
  9. You’re just around the corner from having “Dude Perfect” on all the time. Nothing better than a bunch of obnoxious aggies.
  10. The Springfield Connection, the episode where Marge becomes a cop is my favorite Simpsons episode. Still laugh out loud during the poker game scene.
  11. Jerry Stiller alone makes it a top 100 sitcom.
  12. Take it from experience: A swim meet is 10X more boring than a track meet.
  13. I really enjoyed How I Met Your Mother and think it’s way too low. I also LOVED Newsradio- such an underrated show. They’ve got an obscure show on that list that lasted one season. If that’s the case, they should put Men Behaving Badly on there too. I personally don’t think Phineas and Ferb and Sponge Bob belong on this list.
  14. The kids killed the show. Especially Lilly and Manny.
  15. I’m watching YTTV on firestick right now
  16. You should check out a restaurant in Lahaina called “Down the Hatch”. Make these great lobster grilled cheese sandwiches and they’re relatively inexpensive.
  17. Not gonna lie- the red eye flight home is going to be a bitch if you’re flying directly back to Texas with kids that young. Chances are they won’t sleep on the flight home and they’ll ask you questions and for snacks so you can’t sleep. All that being said- Hawaii is still worth it.
  18. The same rant could be said to sports figures as well. Especially the part about wanting entertainment (or sports) to escape the drudgery of our daily lives, especially over the last year. We don’t need constant politics/rhetoric/condescension thrust upon us when all we want to do is get lost in a movie or game and not think about how shitty the world is for a few hours.
  19. I’ve got a YTTV question: is there a way to do channel return without scrolling through the guide? I’m trying to flip back and forth between volleyball game and mavs game but it’s cumbersome going through the guide.
  20. This thread has has morphed into a commentary on media in today’s climate in general with a significant focus on social media, not another cop killing an innocent African American. On the one hand, it’s comforting to see that virtually everyone is in agreement that the police officer was right in this case. The biggest problem to come out of this case was irresponsible reporting and reaction to this situation before all the facts came to light. There are a lot of fresh wounds in the wake of the Chauvin-Floyd murder and the Kenosha shooting. The last thing we need are uninformed people or people with ulterior motives taking to Twitter to stoke more racial tension. The Columbus situation did not warrant riots or protests. Ohio State didn’t need to shut down. Lebron James was the most visible critic to speak out of ignorance but there were too many others who did the same. It’s going to be a lot harder to heal as a nation and continue to make strides in eliminating racism when there are a lot of people who have a personal interest in keeping our country divided (on both sides) with a platform on Twitter. This case is more about the evils of social media than racism.
  21. AC sucks. Too soft spoken. I still like KJ and the producer best.
  22. I think Chris Evans is a terrible actor in everything he’s done (including Knives Out). I love the Deadpool movies but Ryan Reynolds plays the same smart ass in everything. He makes entertaining movies- just not a lot of range.
  23. I enjoyed the movie. I’m shocked that no one has any issues with a little bit of scotch (or whatever it was in the flask) short circuiting the security system. So many problems with the movie but my 10 yo loved it so it’s all good.
  24. RJ is going to be successful at whatever he decides to do with his life. The kid seems to have his shit together, unselfish and hard worker.
  25. Don’t think anyone ever used to piss on his coaching inadequacy, they just thought he was a shitty human being
