  1. You should also be concerned about our 22 class. If we go 5-7 again, will they all want to stay? I don't know. Texas quickly ramped up its NIL apparatus. Others are starting to come along. If we are a laughingstock for another year, and a winning program offers our true freshman o-linemen a better NIL deal, things could get ugly.
  2. The aggie hissy fit was a financial hit to everyone in the SEC. SEC member won't accept the move to 9 conference games until the playoff is expanded. The vote to expand the playoffs would have been successful if aggie had stayed quiet...but they had to bitch & cry. The playoff was kept at 4. IF the SEC had gone to 9 conference games, that means more valuable content for the networks and an even better TV deal. Now, that won't happen. Everyone in the SEC makes less money because of Texas A&M.
  3. RIP
  4. I 100% disagree. Let's say we had taken the 2 Baylor TP guys in the offseason before 2021. We could have told this elite freshman o-line class, "Look, they are only holding down 2 spots. There is still room for some of you to start, and plenty of snaps for all of you this season. In 2023, they will be gone, and those 2 starting spots will be wide open." We would have the same freshman o-line class and a legit chance to win the Big 12.
  5. Of course it just wasn't the 2 o-linemen. But they helped. They helped very much. Imagine if Texas had signed those 2 guys. We'd be in the mix this season to win the Big 12.
  6. Jesus Tapdancing Christ. Some of you are impervious to facts. You are the Sarah Palin of this board. I've wanted Sark to be active in the transfer portal for offensive linemen the past 2 off-seasons. He wasn't. Baylor got 2 o-linemen last offseason and they won the Big 12. Those 2 guys are still starters and On3 has them ranked as the 3rd best o-line going in to this season. Sark's freshmen o-line recruiting has exceeded all expectations but I am concerned that we could have a 5/6/7 win season this year when it could have been much better.
  7. I am more of a pessimist than most on this board but the optimism I am most embracing for this fall is that DTD will get significant playing time. He will take proper angles to the ball and will finish tackles. A LB doing this last year could have easily got us 2 additional wins.
  8. I'm so high.
  9. This isn't the AP poll. It is the final vote by the College Football Playoff committee for 2022. we finished in the top 20. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Still, Sark should be fired.
  10. 5 spots ahead of Arkansas?
  11. All kidding aside, I would like to see Sleazeball College Football Family Feud between the Gundys and the Pelinis to raise money for The Human Fund or some other deserving charity.
  12. The team you are talking about, that had 2 wins the year prior, go look at what they did to improve. Then ask yourself, "Has Texas taken the same steps to improve?"
  13. This is a quality thread bump.
  14. Any sightings of the 4' tall WR transfer we signed from somewhere up north?
