Hopefully he can grow another 5 inches. This offense won't function without a 7' tall TE.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars

Well, of course. If the defense substantially improves and Ewers is really good from the start, then yes, we could have a nice season. How many first year QB starters are "very solid" behind substandard o-lines? Do you think our D will be significantly improved? Just because it can't be much worse doesn't mean it has to, by default, substantially improve.- 2022 Transfer Thread - It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)

Actually, it looks like Wescott Eberts ate a clone of himself and crapped it out whole.- 2022 Transfer Thread - It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)

I thought I read that we could add 2 even after Mathis and Johnson. If I'm wrong, we can deport all of our Australians.- 2022 Summer Season: Flavor-Aid (Strength: Prison Wine)

I do realize that. However, there are legitimate reasons for optimism regarding Mathis and Caleb Johnson. The point is this....Sark is trying in regards to improving the defensive front 7 via the portal. If we were to miss on both of those guys, and other options hit the portal at DE and LB, I fully expect Sark to try for them as well. Sark really believes in the guys we will be starting at OL this season. He has ignored the o-line in the portal for 2 off-seasons. Maybe he is right and I am wrong. Sark does know exponentially more about football than I ever will...and he is betting his job on these guys.- 2022 Summer Season: Flavor-Aid (Strength: Prison Wine)
I don't think the offense is held to a higher standard than the defense. Our defense was a disaster last year and, comparatively speaking, was a lesser unit when compared to our offense. However, you see more people currently freaking out about our OL than our defensive front 7 because Sark is taking steps to immediately address our defensive front 7 via the portal, while ignoring the same for the o-line. IF the tables were turned, and Sark was pushing hard for a couple of portal Offensive Tackles while ignoring DE and LB, more people would be freaking out about the D. This is not an either/or conversation. We could still bring in Mathis, the UCLA (former Texas) LB and a couple of (average) OTs. I am still holding out hope it all happens.- 2022 Summer Season: Flavor-Aid (Strength: Prison Wine)
When a team starts a new QB behind a (well) below average offensive line, what happens? Now, that same team is poor at generating a pass rush and has joke LBs. I will be thrilled with 7 wins.- 2022 Summer Season: Flavor-Aid (Strength: Prison Wine)
I think it would send the right message to the team to not have a 5th year guy start if he doesn't deserve to start.Football ... Basketball ... Baseball ... Other Sports ... Futbol ... 🤫995🤫 ...
