  1. My goodness. some things just never seem to change. I could literally write a book about the failings involved with the manner in which they handled my X5M shit rocket. from the service dept, to the dealership, to BWMUSA corp, to customer care at BMWUSA corp. It would literally blow your mind the ways in which these people tried to go in dry all of a sum of money so paltry to their organization it wouldn't register as a rounding error to a rounding error for them.
  2. The key take away here from Briscoe is he claims, "gorgeous wife" in his profile. Dude, her picture is right there.....
  3. no he's not. that sniveling little beta isn't even tough enough to punch his own clown.
  4. Palazzo has much better system these days. Place smells like lavender. Does seems things at the encore are a bit less perfect than before Steve got #metood
  5. I can tell you the Encore is definitely saving money on their air filtration system. Damn near every square inch of the place from check in to the mall stores smells like a freaking dirty ash tray. Don't get that at many of the other places that feature just as many smokers. For whatever reason the Encore just seemed to not be up to snuff on their filtration. It was definitely an issue for me.
  6. I think if you're throwing to warm up rather than warming up to throw; actually I know if you're doing that, you're definitely doing it wrong. They need to be doing active arm warm up as well as active body warm up before they ever throw a baseball. You never, ever throw to warm up.
  7. appears that Walt is confirmed in El Camino flash back scenes. I knew he had filmed some scenes, but couldn't get confirmation from my insider on if they were flashback or current scenes. Can't get anything else out of them either.
  8. our trip was a pretty mixed bag for results, but we saw plenty of birds. Saturday we went out in Devine, or near Devine to a field we hunted last year. We were in a different spot that turned out to be good for some, okay for some, and terrible for others. My location was at best okay. It would have been great, but about an hour into our hunt this group came behind us and set up right behind the fence line. I could see the through the trees. Fine. It's a different property they can do what they want. Any birds flying from that direction were slaughtered by these guys before we could ever get a crack at them. Again, cool for them BUT these mother*ckers kept shooting across the damn fence line into us. we got on them hard, and they kept saying, "it's not us". Uh....WTF, man, you're the only group behind us. I think I shot about 10. My son hit his limit. Guys in our group to the east of where I was hit them pretty hard. The people in my group to the west got almost nothing. Total mixed bag, and having pellets whiz by my head was not my idea of ideal hunting. YEsterday we hit a different field that was pretty remote and awesome. we set up on a tree line with about 75 acres of sunflowers in front of us. we were the only group out. only downside was facing west directly in the sun. I think almost everyone limited out yesterday. We saw lots of birds both days, but SAturday just set up better for some than others.
  9. full tank (16 gallons) and only 178 miles to empty. yikes. I guess this is what happens in sport mode when you bounce the limiter off the redline every stop and drive in Houston morning/afternoon rush traffic. my one way commute is 6 miles. that might take up to 50 minutes since they have destroyed 59/610 with construction. destroyed weslayan which is the main feeder into my neighborhood off 59/610 with construction. if I go an alternate route through river oaks via allen pkwy they have construction at Allen Pkwy/shepherd backing shit up there. its just absurd at this point.
  10. Not surprising. Phelps, Ridge and Shafer HSS all stand tall against the ultra expensive "cult cabs". I did an Insignia retrospective a few years ago that went back all the way to 1976 when they barely even knew how to make wine and each of them would be amongst the best wines produced in California in any given year. the 2002 and 1999 were absolute perfection.
  11. hahahahaa. I didn't want to take a photo and drive at the same time. Trying to be safe(ish).
  12. we ended up going with the Von Winning with a grilled seafood tower as a second course. It ended up being the "paring of the night". The wine was spectacular, but it wasn't the wine of the night either. We started with Peter Michael Sauvignon Blanc with chilled seafood towers, moved to the grilled tower with the Riesling. as we were going to salads and hot apps we transitioned with a 2012 Dumol Pinot that many thought was the WOTN. This was by far the least expensive wine we had, and despite the SOmm pushing wines well above it's price point I thought it was the perfect transition wine and my intuition was rewarded. Everyone was scrambling to find out what the wine was and how to acquire it. With the meat course we had a 100 point Parker Showdown between 2015 Dominus and 2015 Ridge Montebello. The ridge was supposed to be a 2015 Spottswoode, but it was sold before we could get there to acquire that one. I was not disappointed because to me the Ridge was the WOTN. If you ever wondered what a "perfect" wine smells and tastes like, this is absolutely a phenomenal example.
  13. 100% in. Love these. Kinda pissed it's taken them this long to make another one. BB2 was freaking awesome.
  14. Seems to be a sport mode kinda day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. heading out this weekend. hope you all saved me some birds.
  16. Seriously the naming of these as traditional Porsche variants such as "turbo s" is a total mess. It's so "not Porsche" as there is no function nor meaning behind that. I cannot believe they did that. They should have come up with new model designations for the various powertrains within the lineup. They should not have used turbo s, or any of the same ones used for the combustion models. I also think starting with the release of the very top of the line "turbo" and "turbo s" is questionable. Turbo S price starts at 185,000. Ranger is 240 miles? I am a bit less excited about this now than I was when it was a concept.
  17. Porsche Taycan live release happening now.
  18. The most impressive thing i saw is that somehow Charlie strong still has a job. 0-49 in the opener of his 3rd season. Guess the cake is not baked.
  19. Major lazer yesterday. Was really good. Amazing how hard things run off the rails at these events.
  20. At the airport and United has me delayed. Fuckers. Have a few pics from encore beach cabana yesterday. No food pics. SW Friday night was epic. Rivera private room atop the Delano hotel was a stunning view and cool set up. The food was good, but when they were addressing the group they made the statement that since Joel robouchon passed, that their chef was the worlds greatest chef. That kinda shifted my expectations. Dramatically. The food was very good, but no one would have thought it was prepared by the self proclaimed #1 chef in the world. Again, that isn’t saying it wasn’t good, it just didn’t live up to that level of hype. They forced us into a wine pairing that they pre-selected. It was not commiserate with the food, but it was truly a fun and awesome experience. Private table stage side at drais was really cool Gucci Mane was suppose to play at 1:00. He took the stage at 2:30. He was fucking terrible. Cabana with our own private pool at encore beach club on Sunday was the highlight of the entertainment for the weekend by a long measure. That was an obscene scene and set up and definitely a tribute to extreme excess in virtually every way imaginable.
  21. Offerings in the United clubs this morning were woefully inadequate compared to other locations. Good grief. Flight was solid though. Had lunch at red 8 in the Wynn, picked up some bottles for dinner tonight at sw steak. We have a 2015 Dominus and a 2015 Ridge Montebello, both of which Parker gave perfect 100 points. We were somewhat limited in selection due to them only allowing us to bring 2 bottles and them having to be different vintages from anything on their list. I get that part. We will be ordering whites off their list and probably mid course Pinot.
