  1. adios, mofo. too bad they cannot drag this trash behind a truck for 3 miles and let Byrd's family drive. https://news.yahoo.com/latest-dragging-death-ringleader-stoic-execution-221516587.html
  2. Yeah. I keep meaning to get it done and keep forgetting. Had it in for some performance upgrades last week and they were supposed to do it while they had it, and they forgot to do it as well. One of these days.
  3. Looks like Gus let slip that season 6 is the end of the line. I really was hoping it would roll out a bit longer. I am seriously addicted to the world they have created with this whole franchise.
  4. Keeping with 650’s theme. Drove the old bird home today. May stay with her for a few days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. solid read on the 737 Max shit bird https://spectrum.ieee.org/aerospace/aviation/how-the-boeing-737-max-disaster-looks-to-a-software-developer?fbclid=IwAR0drt7efIAX2evgZECQ_6oyGKwFIzfU0ZPr1AEkcO9a7dg2fDH1_BGklXg
  6. I am at least willing to listen to this guy as a very reasonable, rational, thoughtful and well spoken man who appears to stand on principles. I do not agree with most of his big ticket positions, but he at least has my attention as the clear best candidate from the dems. I could probably accept him as an agree to disagree guy who would act in America's general best interest. That represents vast improvement from the party and their candidates.
  7. received my annual Edge Hill Baciaglupi chard last week. It has to be my favorite white from California. It is unoaked, big, and has so many layers of flavor that changes with each sip.
  8. For me, Rolling Stones voodoo lounge. Seems this album is pretty much ignored, it is criminally underrated and frankly my favorite album cover to cover from them.
  9. any other Houstonians notice the complete and utter shit show momentum Porsche has become in the last year? I have been servicing my cars there for 15 years. A bit over a year ago they turned over the entire service department. I do not know what in the heck happened, but all the long time guys out there were canned. They were a fantastic team who new how to treat people, and were extremely knowledgeable about the cars. Here we are a year or year and a half since they all departed and I can say I will never take a vehicle there again. Sucks because it's the closest to our house, but luckily we do not have to take these things in very often. Wife had a couple of small warranty things to get done to her Cayenne TT. decide to get the oil service done while there. 6 days later we get a warning light that the thing is 2 quarts low. Also of note while there they try and get her to do a full maintenance service of new spark plugs, et al. Well, the car had all of that done via the CPO process when we bought it, and in the service settings the car the indicator tells us we have over year remaining before any further maintenance required. She mentions this, and the service advisor tells her, "well I have no record of any of that being done, they could have just claimed to have performed all those things when you bought it, you should consider doing this anyway". Despite her very considerably poor judgment in men, she's no shrinking violet and responds, "well I can read the service indicator in the settings menu which tells me I need no service for quite some time, and I can also tell you that what you are suggesting about the items not being performed when the purchase was made would is fraud, and I can also tell you that I no longer trust any of you people, and after servicing 5 Porsche vehicles, 3 of which we still own, at this shop over the last 15 years, we will never return." Everyone looks in stunned disbelief, 3rd service manager in 18 months comes out of office to try and diffuse the situation only to make it worst as her judgment is questioned for hiring advisors who would try such a scam, and tells her this kind of thing may have worked at Kia or wherever they came from, but will not fly here.
  10. smoke them all the time. smoke to 120 degrees, let rest for up to 2 hours, put in 450 oven for 10 minutes, perfect med rare, smoky and crusty.
  11. no laughing, those fajita enchiladas are really good.
  12. except that whole issue that not one single person of the "right wing" voted for it, but keep on wallowing in and believe the fantasy of the utopian left that has left a wake of nothing but failure everywhere that ideology has been implemented.
  13. are you trying to say that the likes of AOC, Pelosi, Turkey neck McConnel, and Paul Ryan, are somehow "sharp minded" as opposed to say, Bezos, Diman, Dell, Gates, et al? Actually, you probably would believe that. we are done here.
  14. you cannot possibly believe this to be true. There is simply no program that eliminates a private option, has a government full of incompetents who outspend cash flow by over 1,000,000,000,000 (that is one trillion) every year take over a program, and somehow ends up being "cheaper". It is simply impossible.
  15. a bit surprised at listing Escalante for "best cheese enchiladas" in Houston. Don't get me wrong, I love escalantes, but I find it hard to fathom their enchiladas would ever be considered on any best of list. They're fine, but they're definitely nothing special. Similar to Chuy's or something along those lines. If I am thinking of cheese enchiladas at a more high end kind of place I think of Armando's cheese enchiladas, the ones at State of Grace, El Tiempo's are certainly a bit different from a traditional tex mex cheese enchilada but do stand out. For that matter the ones at Pappacita's are pretty damn good. The "San Antonio" enchiladas at Mamacitas are also really really good. Basic cheese enchilada with cili gravy, but then smothered in queso. I haven't had those in years, but damn they're good.
  16. Lopez out on Kirwood or wilcrest has great, old school cheese enchiladas. very similar to Tony's on Ella. El Real's as mentioned are also very old school. I think their gravy has a bit more richness to it than most. as do the al la taylor ones at Span Vil. Love all of them.
  17. El Real's are pretty close to dart bowl, and the beans are made with so much lard. The enchiladas a la Taylor at the Spanish VIllage are absolutely epic.
  18. Did bill Floyd bail on the partnership with caswell? Is he still part of el real? Will be interesting to see if reef can gain back some of its last glory. I haven’t been in a very long time. Last time we went was well before the hurricane, and the place seemed to have run its course. Food was pretty meh, service seemed uninspired, wine list was still good.
  19. I realize that and realized that after driving it, BUT Aston is the one who claimed it was going to compete with the 911 in that segment. If you're going to make a 2 seat, mid engine car and claim it to be a competitor to a legendary car, then I expect it should have some of the same driving characteristics, and be somewhat competitive, no? I never had that expectation of the M6 because it never claimed to be anything other than a touring coupe.
  20. yeah. I figured that was the case. any progress on the sauerkraut situation?
  21. might be time to go ahead and take back ownership of your mac and cheese too.
  22. I know CM has had a bit of a bad rap, but it kinda sound like with the fiasco of the music fest, and the need for atmosphere it is going to be your best bet. In it's heyday, it was so so so very good. oh....except the whole sunday thing.
  23. should be a beast of a car. Can't wait to see it, and take one for a drive.
