  1. Yep. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
  2. good luck with all that, Champ. Cool that Wes is going to help you out. I will try and get by to offer some support.
  3. Fuck’em, Champ. Ignore that bullshit. I was there on Friday and champ knocked it outta the damn park on every facet. The brisket was freaking amazing. I honestly thought i was gonna puke I ate so damn much. Those portions were extremely generous.
  4. those ribs are freaking legit.
  5. tnew BMW Z4 looks incredible. Straight off their website from the official gallery. No shopped. At all. White doesn't do it justice.
  6. Elton John Disturbed Rolling Stones all in Houston. Pretty excited to take my 10 year old to see the stones on their 74th farewell tour.
  7. going to take my kiddo to see it this weekend. REally liked the first one.
  8. Not digging that BMW like gear lever. They put that in the new Panamera, and I hate it. Hated in my BMW's. Hate it more in Porsche's as it reminds me of my BMW's.
  9. ha. I just noticed that. good catch!
  10. the rear end looks a bit like a retro 959 to me. I actually like it way more than I thought I would.
  11. uh...it's off their website from the official gallery. Not a shop. At all.
  12. New 911 (992) released today. the "S" model comes with 443bHP. 0-60 in 3.3 with sport chrono. starting at $113k. They're now all wide body which I like. Tempting. I skipped the 991 model because I didn't think the variance was that great, and I still loved my 997S so much. Still do, but it is starting to feel very old and tired inside (no satellite radio, no blue tooth, really old technology), but at the same time it's not a daily drive anymore so I don't think I can justify swapping it for a new 992 unless I also sold my current daily driver. Paralysis by analysis
  13. Wife had a 2012 Cayenne S before getting the Turbo. THe cons of expensive to maintain is simply not true. I've owned several Porsche cars and one of the hallmarks is they're actually not expensive to maintain. I have kept all of mine for long periods of time. I currently have one that is 14 years old. The 2012 Cayenne was absolutely bullet proof, reliable, inexpensive to own and operate. It got up there in miles, and my wife wanted something a bit faster so we upgraded her to the Cayenne Turbo. So far so good on it as well. Bottom line is, I don't think it's a purchase you regret. Good luck!
  14. Les Noodle on Montrose is the best Pho ive ever had anywhere including my mother in law's. Their broth is so damn rich and flavorful. The short rib pho special is one of the best things ive ever eaten anywhere. it's absolutely special.

If I am going off the laws of basic economics here I cannot see exactly how El Tiempo can possibly be overpriced. Every time I go to the one on Richmond there is a wait unless it is way off peak hours, and it's been that way since they opened 20 years ago. Given basic laws of supply and demand one simply cannot conclude they're overpriced. They may be charging more than any one individual wants to spend for their food, but the line at the door indicates that is an outlier. Seems the market will certainly support their pricing. Okay. Schools out. Let's go get a margarita.
  16. we are done as of Dec 31. USF can fire him before Jan 1 and only owe him about 200K since they're only paying him about 400K this season. IF they wait until next season they will have to pay him well north of that to make him go away.
  17. this is 100% verifiably false.
  18. This is no surprise. The guy is simply an awful leader. He showed zero attention to detail. USF puts woefully unprepared teams on the field, and lost their last 5 games despite having better athletes in 4 of those 5 games. Hell, maybe in 5 of the 5. The guy he hired to be DC there was an utterly horrendous hire. He was awful as our LB coach. Gilbert isn't exactly the next great thing at OC. All of this was foreseeable. Charlie was simply way in over his head in a leadership position, and that didn't change with a new zip code. I doubt they fire him this year, but they'd be wise to do so and pay him a pittance compared to what it is going to cost to fire him after next season. Not sure why anyone thought this would work. He showed zero skills in running a program here. I mean, the man declined a penalty where the opposition made a first down for F*cks sakes.
  19. Saw this bad boy at the Houstonian on Saturday. Also saw a nice mclaren as well, but couldn’t get a picture of that. Place is like an exotic car showcase on weekends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Worst cAse I ever got was from some red curry shrimp from what used to be the golden door Thai restaurant on montrose in Houston. Damn near killed me. It was February 2008. I remember it so well because my son was about 3 days old when it happened. I wasn’t sure I was gonna make it to see him grow up!
  21. The new amg gt 4 door look way too much like a bmw 6 series grand coupe. Like, waaay too similar. The s model delivers some stupid performance. Wow.
  22. Awful. Just awful.
  23. Good luck smoking a bird that big.
  24. Will probably turn the remaining turkey into a gumbo. The prime rib will get made into sandwiches with a blue cheese aioli, red onion, arugula and tomato.
  25. Fancy shit. Salt and pepper.
