Ralphie was kind of human at the end. He wasn't a good father, but he did love his son.

Again, Richie was the biggest POS on the show. What he did to Beansie remains messed up. He should have just killed Beans, but he paralyzed him instead.

I think Beans was connected enough that Tony probably could have had Richie clipped if he pressed the issue. Tony's hesitation with Richie for all of Season 2 was frustrating, and he gets bailed out by Janice. It was one hell of a plot twist, but not a satisfying end.

Good point. Just the way Ralphie beat that pregnant stripper to death stuck with me as the real piece of shit-ism.

Then you weren't really paying attention.  Most who had a reason to worry about getting whacked were pretty damn scared.  Adriana was a ditzy blond, but as soon as Sil turned off the road, she was shitting her pants.  Pussy on the boat before he got whacked, Paulie on the boat before he didn't get whacked, the guy who was on the lamb when Tony was on the college visit.  There were a couple where the element of surprise was certainly a factor so they never saw it coming, but most who knew it was probably coming were terrified.

And getting over it relatively easily is because that's just part of the lifestyle.  That shit doesn't eat up a mobster or people who are used to being around mobsters like it would normal people.  They all know it's a "disappear" life.  Get whacked or get pinched.

    Aggie?

  3. Probably saw that same tour . Saw em 4 times in the 70's

It was the Takin it to the streets tour. Only one I know of that had Tom Johnston and Michael McDonald. And the Memphis Horns. Bob Segar was the opener. Amazing show.

  4. Been a Doobie brothers fan from way back.  Yeah they did a skunk Baxter muppet guitar player.

Saw him with the Doobies in 76. First time I’d ever heard of him. Sat on a stool the whole time.

Looks like Justin Weiss Smith got a restraining order slapped on him by an ex, who he said cheated on him. Which makes a lot of sense. Here's what I guess is his motion to lift the restraining order? (I'm not a law dog). He's clearly representing himself in court. I didn't read the whole thing because it's mostly insane incel ramblings. Seems like she cheated on him and he put her shit on blast and threatened her. It says he did three months in the can for contempt of court, and that his requests for family law books from the prison library were denied.  Lulz. Then there's an article at the end about a "justin carter" who threatened to shoot up a school, which I'm guessing is actually him? Anyway, that dude is fucking CRAZY.

He definitely has school shooter/serial killer written all over him.

    Free Solo. Holy shit.

No kidding. I had anxiety during it and I knew he made it to the top. When he had to do that karate kick move he'd missed so many times on the ropes, I was about to piss myself.

You guys are really making me jones for a Gold Top, and I've never been into them.

I had one back in the 70s when I was young a dumb. Sold it when I was down on my luck and needed some cash. Wish I still had it.

  9. Happy Days was actually a spin off of American Graffiti, they just never admitted it. Lucas made American Graffiti, they got Ron Howard and some people to roughly approximate the other characters, did an episode of "Love, American Style," then ripped off American Graffiti. I've always suspected it was probably so they wouldn't have to pay Lucas royalties, but if you look at the first year, roller skating waitresses, cars hitting the strip, Winkler playing the John Milner character, yeah, it was American Graffiti.
BTW, Carol Wayne ended up dead in Mexico, supposedly by drowning. She was probably murdered. Very suspicious circumstances.

I had no idea of any of that. Thanks.

And RIP Carol and her hooters. Gonna have to research that tomorrow.

I'd forgotten that Happy Days spun off this show. Also I had a major boner for Carol Wayne, who was on LAS a lot. Looking now, the face was a bit busted, but those titties to my adolescent self....wowza.

Better pic...guess she was older in the one above.

  12. The book was a great read. Such debauchery. My favorite story was how when they were first getting started and were broke, spending all the money they made on drugs, after a gig and banging random groupies, they would pool their money and buy a burrito. Then they'd take turn sticking their dicks in it to get the smell of pussy off before they went home to the girlfriends.

Which is my point, do y’all still pay the premium membership or did you cut down to a lesser package that doesn’t feature Howard?

Nope, I still have Howard. Not sure how much I pay, wife handles the bills.
