  1. shit... going to see him tomorrow. Guess I'm getting another dog.
  2. Oh my God... Teddy was returned to the rescue. I may be adopting him myself. Here he is today.
  3. I hate this thread, but... MASH was set in 1950-1953 and first aired in 1972. If a show like MASH started today, it would be set in 1998-2001.
  4. And another series cancelled. At what point to the Cardinals just say "fuck it, we're out"?
  5. I get asked "Do you have my keys" a few times a week. I must put off the vibe of "one who steals keys for which I have no use".
  6. But "then-director of Lebanese Customs Shafik Merhi" will certainly pay the price for not being emphatic enough.
  7. I was a DOD contractor for 8 years. My total time in the part of the world was about 4 of the 8 years. Started in Iraq for a couple of tours and then did my last 2 years in Kuwait.
  8. You spoke with Paul who?
  9. Yeah, I just don't really give a shit about this season. It's just a distraction for me if it's on TV.
  10. Carlson? Here on the local sports station they were reporting 2 pitchers off the taxi squad. Now, who knows.
  11. The reports are that it was 2 off of the taxi squad, so not Carlos
  12. It really sucks when the winds shift to come out of the south and you get a touch of humidity. I lived there for 2 years and when it gets even a tad humid it just sucks more than it already does.
  13. I wasn't too terribly impressed with his performance out of the pen last year.
  14. I hope she wore her shittin' pants.
  15. You kidding? That's not even enough room for all the ovaries.
  16. Watched the first episode last night. One thing that I simply don't understand is why that gym owner was brought in to testify. As far as I could tell, it had absolutely nothing to do with the case. Even if Kelley did say that he had been in the Marines, what difference does it make on that particular case? That was bizarre.
  17. I bet she was checking Facebook.
  18. Doc Holliday: Say when!
  19. It happened to me many years ago. I was working at a snack bar and had to take the metal straps off the top of the juice machines every night so that I could clean inside the machines. I took the metal band off and just laid it in the back of the machine, which I did every night and how I was shown. One time I set it down and it went between the plug and the wall outlet and rested right on the prongs. The metal band was welded to the metal countertop by the time I was able to let go. I think every manager of the store that was on duty came by while I was closing up to see if I was okay. The pucker factor was probably pretty high for them.
  20. Well, they bought and sold human beings, so it may not be that much of a stretch.
  21. When I was around 4 or so we were on a road trip. We stopped at a rest stop in Arkansas. My dad finished up and was rushing out while I was washing my hands and I was the only one left inside. When I tried to get out, I pulled on the door and it wouldn't budge. I started freaking out and kept pulling as hard as I could. Then I heard the old man giggling on the other side of the door.
  22. Yeah, I guess that's what I get for being hard of hearing.
  23. Last night, at around 11:00, my cell phone was ringing. Yep, it was the wife calling me from upstairs. Of course she did text me twice first and I didn't hear that.
