  1. Yeah, I know, water's wet and all that.
  2. But what about the rest: "She routinely leaves her dishes on the counter beside the sink and not uncommonly eats at the table and simply gets up and walks away leaving her dish on the table." What I got out of that post is that she will get onto him for putting dirty dishes in the sink while she will leave her dirty dishes on the table and counter. A bit (lot) hypocritical, but kind of typical.
  3. Just ties the whole room together.
  4. Why would someone send another person chicken feces?
  5. That pleased you, or wrong thread?
  6. Yes, it is BS. A Ranger in a “Ranger Unit” would be in the 75th Ranger Regiment.
  7. Not long after I got out I worked with this youngster (mid 20's) that really talked like he had served. He never straight out said that he served, but the way he talked it did seem like it. Then one day he said that he had been a MSgt. At that point I did have to come right out and ask. Turned out that he was a cadet MSgt in AFROTC.
  8. Wait... so there are coyotes AND panthers in the neighborhood?
  9. The Garanimals crack was more about him being a little fella, but okay.
  10. Someone should probably inform him about Garanimals.
  11. I wonder how many times she screamed "Don't you know who I am?"
  12. Pacman must have cost him a win in fantasy football at some point. Why else would he have "made a gesture". Fantasy football is serious business.
  13. Heaven forbid a small child play outside. They would be much better off inside in front of the TV. I think that the neighbor should go ahead and move into Sun City.
  14. Looks like Mark ate David.
  15. Oh, but there is this: https://www.mlb.com/news/mike-matheny-says-cardinals-will-play-better/c-284091712 Matheny anticipates improved play. When is the front office going to DEMAND improved play and managerial decisions that aren't complete stupidity? I heard someone on the radio a couple of weeks ago referring to Matheny as T-ball Mike. Very appropriate nickname for him.
  16. Yeah, it's beyond time to DFA both Holland and Fowler, but I doubt they do it. I really can't even be pissed about the players' performance. They are who they are. I blame the front office for this shit. It's pathetic watching them. And Matheny just has a constant look of confusion on his face during the games. And me? I look like the Jacksonville Jaguars confused fan. There's really nothing that they can or should do before the trade deadline. What they need is a complete change over in the front office, along with shitcanning Matheny and Mabry. There's got to be someone available to be the hitting coach that was better than a journeyman with a lifetime avg of .263 and 96 home runs.
  17. I'm fairly certain that my wife does not know where the outside trash can is. If my sons or I are not home, the kitchen trash can will have several inches of trash above the rim when we do return.
  18. Not trivial, but my job.
  19. I kept forgetting to post this and was reminded about it yesterday. We were driving on some back roads yesterday through farmland. For some reason, I get a fairly high degree of satisfaction when the crops are planted in rows that are perpendicular to the roadway. Everything is just perfectly aligned. Trivial, but pleasing.
  20. That's fake, right? Right? No way that someone could seriously get mad about a kid outside playing.
  21. My sister's father-in-law was a Marine during Korea, but that's about all that her or her husband (his son) knew. One day when I was at my sister's house, her husband gave me a book and said that I may like it. It was a biography about a guy that had retired from the Marine Corps. Originally enlisted in the Army at the tail end of WW2, got and went into the Marines and served in Korea and Viet Nam. The guy had really been through hell. During Korea he was captured by the Norks and had been handed over to the ChiComs and held as a POW in a political re-education camp. They actually did end up escaping and it was quite the story. Now for the interesting part of the story. While reading the book and the part about the escape, my sister's father-in-law's name showed up as one of the leaders of the escape and received a medal with a V device for his actions. I asked my brother-in-law where he got the book, and he said that his dad had given it to him. I asked him if he read it, and he said no. I then let him know that his dad was a key person in it during the Korea portion. His dad didn't like to talk about his military service. When I first got out of the Marine Corps and moved near them, he really kind of opened up. We talked about the book, and of course he said that he didn't feel like what he did was any different than what any other Marine would have done in the situation. He also told me that he was just some admin guy on a convoy delivering mail when they got captured. As for me, I was a computer guy. Never did anything much. Never went into a combat zone. Served from 1988-1999 and spent much of Desert Shield/Storm guarding the Northern Front in Norway (exercise). Spent a little time in Cuba during the Cuban and Haitian migration of the early 90's. Then when I got out, I did get to a couple of combat zones, but as a contractor it's much different. Long story - My sister's father-in-law was a good man that did some amazing things that didn't like to talk about it to many people. I'm a vet, and proud to have served, but I also get very uncomfortable when people thank me for my service. In all honesty, it was an honor and privilege to have served and I wouldn't trade it for anything. So, thank you to all you tax payers for paying me to do some pretty cool shit and learn a skill that has parlayed into a pretty good career for me. Oh, and stolen valor guys are creepy and I don't quite get why they go through such elaborate stories for no apparent reason.
  22. Graduate of Hamm’s School of Culinary Arts?
  23. So, solid to the good guys. No way Hamm says Texas has a slight edge if it is really slight.
  24. Isn’t it about time that the old loon gets her own thread? This one is supposed to be all Hamm and that relationship ended. Right?
