You don't want to make it too strong of a rule, so that potentially injured players can feel comfortable coming off the field.

I like r/cfb's suggested modification to Gundy's rule: The player must remain off the field until the next change of possession or timeout. So anything that would've otherwise slowed the offense down anyway would allow the player to return.

I thought the change of possession was what Gundy suggested. I could live with the  time out compromise, but I’d still want a stiffer penalty for violating either of those rules. I was only speaking of the penalty for players who violate the rules so no ref has to keep track of it.

I think it will cause as many problems as it will fix.  Imagine we’re leading blowu 31-27 with 2:00 left.  They have the ball on their 20 yd line.  Sterns lights somebody up on the first play of the drive and gets up a little slowly.  Concerned trainers rush out on the field to assist him.  He’s fine.  Sorry, he hss to sit out the rest of the drive.  This fucking place would explode.

Hed have to come off the field under the current rules. Trainers don’t rush onto the field without being instructed by a coach after an official stops action. If trainers are legitimately needed on the field, 95% of the time that injury requires attention on the sideline, and the player misses several plays.

There is absolutely no way to have more than 4 teams in a college football playoff.  How would it even work?

Having more than 4 teams is what makes it so damn confusing.  That would never work in the FCS, much less FBS or NFL. THATS CRAZY TALK.

The song on Saturday night just worked....just did.  Everybody liked it and it was almost spontaneous....just felt right.  Night time had a lot to do with it....totally fun, and we were playing well, which didn't hurt.  Kind of like rubbing into your wife in the middle of the night after you've been asleep for a while and just having unexpected sex, then back to sleep.  And it goes on and on and on and on.

    That was the cat.

Someone mentioned it upstream I believe, but they would totally screw it up next year if Bob Cole gets on there and says something scripted like  "Alright Longhorn fans, get your phones out and hook-ems up, it's time to sing"......

That happens, and I’ll do something I swore I’d never do. Get a Twitter account.

That has to up there with the best newb posts ever.

I use playstation vue to watch games so I put the game on and mute it and stream the Craig Way call on another tab.  Commercial breaks are wonky as fuck but I never had to listen to lowell

I would do the same, except Craig Way’s frantic screaming makes me want to listen to Lowell Galindo.

May have been mentioned, but Lowell needs to stop saying “thud” every time there is a big collision.

  9. Back in 1979, I had a girlfriend who lived on the opposite side of San Antonio.  I was running a bit late the first time I went to her house to pick her up for a date, and I was getting flustered because there was a slow car in front of me that wouldn't get out of my way.  I don't think I honked, but the first chance I had, I blew past them (probably with an illegal maneuver) like an asshole to get on Loop 410.  So, I get to her house and she's not ready yet (duh).  I wait for her in the living room, and her parents walk in.  Her dad looked vaguely familiar from the side.  I introduced myself and we chatted until my girlfriend decides she is ready.   We leave the house and - wouldn't you know - her parents car in the driveway is the same car I blew past 30 minutes earlier.  Unless they were oblivious, they had to have recognized my car because it was very unique-looking Camaro.

getting the warning on Google Chrome that it's not a Secure Connection. I go to the Advanced section and get on anyway, but this warning there yesterday. My cache error or something with Surly?

Same thing with Microsoft Edge  What information is Surly trying to steal from me, anyway?
