  1. That bitch on the Silverton train was lying. She said the largest tree was the aspen outside our side of the train.
  2. That’s why I like the big cats. Almost always go for the throat to asphyxiate. Wolves and hyenas typically start eating their prey from behind, which is an asshole move.
  3. Being a Vikings fan in San Antonio, MNF halftime highlights was my fix. I should’ve become a Cowboys fan just to spare me the frustration.
  4. I saw that interview. The third was a Brett Robin.
  5. Damn, 2nd best power RB of all time, gone. R.I.P.
  6. Well, if you ask me, hitting him with his own helmet was a bit angry.
  7. Two things: 1) red jerseys are triggering 2) that isn’t football /ducks
  8. Too bad this site won’t let you give both a laughing and FAFO reaction. Stupid bitch.
  9. Supper is at 4:30, so I’ll be dozing by kickoff.
  10. Not gonna lie. I’ve had more than one brisket and sausage Poor Boy Plus from that Bill Miller.
  11. Yes, for a guy with happy feet. Has Eric Metcalf been mentioned, or did I miss it?
  12. My dad was on hospice care in Austin 5+ years ago when a windstorm broke off a tree limb that damaged his mailbox. He didn’t even know until a caretaker notified him a couple of days later. I arranged from out of state to get it cleaned up and fixed, but his HOA still fined him for not getting it done in 72 or 96 hours or whatever bullshit limit they had. When he died, I spent a week at his house going through things. I had to fly back home the day before trash day, so I put out the can and arranged for a neighbor to get it off the curb after pickup. The HOA imposed a fine for EITHER me putting the can out too early or the neighbor not getting it off the curb in time (I don’t recall which, possibly both). Then they fined us daily for the neighbor not putting the can completely out of sight. I came back a couple of weeks later to finish clearing out his house, and I find gotdam notifications of hundreds of dollars in fines. From the curb, you could barely see one corner of his trash can, and the only neighbor who might be able to see it from their yard was the neighbor who put it there. They cut the fines basically in half, but not until I furnished a copy of his death certificate.
  13. Tell me that was a big tube tv. I also had a gun pointed directly at me in a regular Handy Andy store off Southcross Blvd just east of Goliad Rd. I was bagging groceries at the register furthest from the customer service desk when I heard someone yell, “I SAID EVERYONE STOP WHAT THEY BE DOING!” I was daydreaming, of course, and everyone around me was standing still and wide-eyed. There was a guy wearing bright red Converse or Keds high tops standing on top of the customer service counter, demanding all the money. He was pointing the gun at me, shaking like Barney Fife he was so scared. I was the only one who didn’t hear him say stop. The cops were still talking to the customer service people when they were notified that a suspect wearing red high tops had been spotted and then apprehended trying to escape by foot. That added a bit of humor to the night.
  14. Yeah, that omission pisses me off. They don’t even mention why Bo is no longer in the game. It’s suddenly just Tommy Agee and Lionel James running the ball.
  15. Why would you assume I meant DJ? I might have been thinking of another Johnson. Seriously, I wasn’t paying attention to the M part. Lol
  16. I worked at Consumer’s Commissary* at I-30 & Coliseum Rd in SA back in ‘79. They had a nice camera and electronics department, and a black woman managed to walk off with something expensive tucked under her sweater. The department manager yelled to the security guard (also black) to stop her, so he takes off after her. I happen to be nearby, so my 18 year-old dumbass joins in the chase across the parking lot. I finally caught up with her and grabbed her arm just as her ride pulled up and she started to get in (the security guard was nowhere to be seen). A guy jumps out of the back seat on the other side and reaches into his waistband. I let go and jumped back. They took off, and I got a lecture from the security guard about not being a naive white boy who gets shot. He had his eyes pealed for what she was running to, not just that she was running away. X marks the spot where I almost got shot. That’s stain is not where I bled out. /csb * SA old timers may know this as the Harry Tappan warehouse that Handy Andy bought when they tried the warehouse grocery business (before Sam’s Club or Costco). They hired a guy and his very rude wife from Price Club in San Diego to get it up and going. Price Club evolved into Costco. Coliseum Rd is now AT&T Center Pkwy.
  17. Imagine dreaming of a life in Houston.
