  1. update: our oline may not be as strong as i thought preseason. mea culpa.
  2. you sweet thing, this week was dfw-jac-dfw, which will be followed shortly by dal-ceu-dal, where maybe WE'LL win by seventeen and a half.
  3. finally got around to it. production and songwriting are really impressive, but something still feels cold about it. need some change of tempo somewhere.
  4. 77. i actually used that to buy an old land cruiser while up there. worked well.
  5. should my 12,000 word preview of a&m's 2019 national championship squad go here or the football board?
  6. big fan of everything konradsen has put out so far (skip to :38)
  7. you can do worse than spending a long weekend on lake martin with auburn coeds.
  8. whynotboth.gif and rough few weeks here kids. i am extremely bullish on xavion alford's collegiate upside.
  9. yes, me talking about a guy who went for 45 catches, 585 yards and 7 tds last year being a year further removed from an acl is very similar to the claim that whittington is better than any rb we have on campus. (he may be, but that's a rather ridiculous claim to make at the present.) where'd the handful of people go that actually enjoy talking football? i miss you.
  10. this is such a good message board post. and to those asking legitimately about the wr and oline, i think quartney davis is about to have a huge year, and he's 12 more months beyond his acl. ausbon is overrated but a chain mover - if rogers can play consistently i like our group, if not, the nod probably goes to texas. at oline, i think we're going to be better than people think. carson green has a chance to play his way into the draft, mccollum is going to surprise people at center, and dan moore quietly had a great 2nd half of the year. we'll be good at one guard, the question is if we get the production we need at the other guard spot to get us where we need to be. but as i said above, comparing units is tough, especially when we're asking them to do pretty damn different things between the schemes.
  11. comparing head to head seems like a fools errand on here, but here are positions i would for sure make a trade today: qb, corner, safety positions i could possibly talked into it: linebacker, running back positions i'm not trading: wide receiver, oline, dline, tight end
  12. we're getting close to the season and i can absolutely masturbate to this.
  13. if chapman stays healthy he has a chance to be a contributor. kid can really run. i don't see it with jackson. and stud may be a stretch, but i can see muhammad being the kind of guy who flirts with all-conference honors for a year or two, i think guys with his skill set and polish are really rare, even in a 7 on 7 state. he's not going to set the world on fire athletically, but i'd be surprised if he doesn't turn into a pretty consistent 40 - 50 catch a year guy his last 2 years on campus.
  14. i have my worries about the amount of bodies being thrown at the wr position, but production is not one of them. let me state for the record here that muhammad is going to be a stud in college. (price, chase lane, parker will not be.)
  15. no coach is anything close to infallible, but if you don't think the kid can contribute *at all* i have a hard time thinking you're giving up one of your 85 just to keep a guy happy. grayshirt or something, sure, but allowing it in july before his senior year? I think they think he can do something.
  16. i admittedly don't see a whole lot that jumps off the film with him, other than a pretty polished version of an average athlete, but my only internal consolation is this - if you're the coaching staff, do you really want to bring on the son of a kid who don't think can contribute? that seems like asking for trouble, i'm assuming they see something in him, otherwise you're just inviting discord, especially with spots at a premium.
  17. if there's a guy in college football you want as a character reference, it's definitely jeremy pruitt.
  18. +1 for an amazing travis schneider reference
  19. this seems like an incredibly normal conversation, and absolutely something that would happen in real life.
