  1. new anderson paak is great. not quite as strong as malibu but miles better than oxnard. slightly more off the radar (and a terrible band name) but intellexual is the two guys that have made a bunch of beats / sounds for chance the rapper, frank ocean, kanye, etc. and i don't even know how to classify this album (the go team does shoegaze?) but it's random and a good spring soundtrack.
  2. post-spring update: giving up liquor for lent was a horrendous decision.
  3. weird. when i walked into the princeton admission offices telling them my dad was a huge tigers fan and that i had made a perfect verbal score on the sat they gave me a scholarship immediately. shit is slipping.
  4. i think he actually has a committable lsu offer now. his film is fun as hell, hope we keep him.
  5. i think that may be more him throwing shade at lsu, but i'm getting too damn old to speak recruit.
  6. absolute emo dad rock and i dig it all the same.
  7. didn't realize they were on tour over here, then started looking at dates, then saw they're opening for interpol in a 3,000 seat venue in kansas city on may 2nd and . . . i am intrigued.
  8. missed the heatstroke part, that sucks. dude's high school film was hilarious.
  9. is anybody in state pushing that hard for him? don't understand the recruitment. also, i would have bet a lot of money on patrick hudson being an all-pro nfl guard.
  10. oooh, this is much better than cafe amarillo. and i need some more time with foals, but liking it. 'sunday' is a jam. i listened to their first record a year or two ago once or twice but really, really liking the new caracara single.
  11. i cannot imagine what sort of sick fucks make a bet where the loser has to listen to a liucci podcast, but i respect it nonetheless.
  12. this finally clicked for me and i'm digging it. wearing out the new national song as well, although i can't figure out if i genuinely like or just intrigued by it. and i was really excited to hear the new local natives song, and it just . . kind of . . sounds like the rest of their stuff that i've marginally enjoyed since gorilla manor.
  13. holy shit, found my rockfest 97 ticket the other day. if memory serves i saw bush, no doubt, counting crows, collective soul, and even got there early for jackopierce? that was a long ass day.
  14. since i have not been able to keep up with 2020 yet - what does the texas board look like at cb / s? ringo looks like a badass, but after that it seems like there are a bunch of 6'2" 180 kids that are are more or less interchangeable, at least until they start showing up at more camps and / or get more film out there. i like jaylon jones, but not sure how much more than any of the other guys out there at this point.
  15. not sure how big he can get or what his upside is, but the guy definitely likes to go after people in a very entertaining way. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/8503951/5bfed08764e0950aa8262cbb
  16. hello. also, i decided to splurge for good 1975 tickets at toyota. i realize this makes me a 16 year old girl, but i am excited nonetheless.
  17. my god, i spend far too much of my life worrying about a&m football and i would rather be sodomized by bevo himself than listen to one second of billy fucking liucci discuss literally anything.
  18. i've been traveling, but i assume this means our 2020 class is going poorly.
  19. digging through a&m practice videos to find third team offense drills of barton clement to own the libs. although to be fair, he does look a bit rough here.
  20. prediction: this ends with his stuff being yanked off streaming platforms. get your records and expensive headphones ready.
  21. this is a reasonable opinion and while there are probably millions of words to be read on not separating the art and the artist, i'd like to think i can put on english girls approximately and enjoy it the same way i always have. and yes, selfishly i hope we get to hear the 3 albums, although in this day and age i'm skeptical. wouldn't be surprised if big colors comes out since we're pretty far into the buildup, and the other 2 are quietly released on some subsidiary of a subsidiary.
  22. they are incredible live, but i can't get into this one yet. oh, and harmony hall is fucking great.
  23. i think this is a totally valid take - i personally like the guy's potential at center after a year but turner definitely had his own opinion when it comes to evaluations. and liucci's paper-thin skin over literally everything after 20 years in the business is kind of amazing.
